In this thread, there are enough listed homes and addressed for babies. Please take the child there. https://www.nairaland.com/83723/address-motherless-babies-home-lagos To all concerned: don't start contacting the OP privately and OP, don't contact anyone privately on this forum. Immigration has just busted a case of a woman selling babies across the border. 3 Likes |

I won't be surprised if the op gives birth and wants to keep the baby. The bond between mother and child is mysterious 7 Likes |

pcguru1: Was it a goat that impregnated and refused to accept the child? Blame the two parties involved and even the man more. For her not to have aborted the pregnancy even after the guy refused to accept it, shows she most likely would be willing to keep and raise the child if she had enough support. 10 Likes |

I don't understand our motherless babies homes in this country, they seem to be selling the babies too. |

HaneefahRN: No doubt, my blame goes to both parties, but at the end of the day she's the one that's going to bear most of the responsibilities, do you know how many useless men are out there. and the answer to your question, No it's not a goat, because a goat has sense of responsibility, the goats i observed in the village take care of the kids when they impregnate another goat. I hate news like this, anyway on the bright side she didn't abort the baby because I hate people who abort with a passion |

let her give up the child for adoption and maybe some good people take the child and in future the child becomes successful and won't forgive her........ you don't know there's joy in hustling for your kid's sake..... maybe people tend not to notice how much we males love our moms......esp. when i saw the sacrifices she has made for me....... |

HaneefahRN: I'm guezsing she wasn't raped, and she knew what the enormity of her decision to first have unprotected sex and then not abort the resulting foetus. Both parties are to blame, but the woman more because it would likely never have happened if she didn't want it to. Women are the gatekeepers to sex. And then, we can't say on one hand that it's solely a woman's choice to have and keep a baby and then absolve her when her exploiting of that right doesn't pan out quite the way she may have wanted. Surely, she must have a family. Wht are they unwilling to support their daughter? A question that boggles the mind. |

Timbuktou:nice one.....as far as she wasn't raped she must have know of the risk she was exposing herself to.... if a man gets an STD he will be lambasted for sleeping around....so if she got pregnant she should know there's a possibility he won't accept the child and she decided to risk it....well safe journey.... |
Re: My Friend Wants To Give Her Child Up For Adoption by HaneefahRN(f): 3:43pm On Jul 14, 2016 |
Timbuktou: Yeah, I perfectly understand your point. I'm also usually very hard on women who have unwanted pregnancies, I never support them unless it was against her wish. Cos at the end of the day, the woman suffers more for it and consequently the poor child. I just emphasized on the man when it seemed he was putting all the blame on the woman. I don't know the situation, can't say. Just thinking for her to have thought of such, she is probably not getting much support. You know some parents disown their daughters over unwanted pregnancies, so who knows? |

HaneefahRN KikayBoss: I'm glad we are on the same page. It's a tragedy when a child isn't brought up properly, with both parents. The scars may well remain for life. I truly hope this young woman reconsiders her stand and can work something out with her husband. I have a feeling the father feels this is a ploy to trap him, but young women need to be taught abstinence; and where the parents are so liberal, the benefits and uses of contraceptives. It's less calamitous to have more sluts than bastarrds. |

Please advise her to keep her child and try anyhow legitimately to care for him. He just may be her only child for life or the only male child she may ever have (I sincerely pray she has others). |

Re: My Friend Wants To Give Her Child Up For Adoption by HaneefahRN(f): 9:08pm On Jul 16, 2016 |
Timbuktou: Some guys are just plain irresponsible, like he didn't think of it while having unprotected sex. If her parents are supportive it will be easier for her, even if the guy still refuses the child. We don't know her academic and job status too, that can also influence, I'm guessing she is a student though. Will I really say it's about not knowing about contraceptives (unless from a village and and not literate ) but at least condom is widely known or is it the more common abstinence preachings. It's a conscious choice jare. Someone who knows she is not ready to bring a child to the World, yet has unprotected sex, not even minding the other STD risks, I call it stupidity, but it's still a choice. OP, doesn't she have parents? And does she have any financial means? Let her think deeply before she takes such delicate decision and plunge her baby into such World or the baby gets into wrong hands |
