Hello house, a friend of mine got his TRV which was stamed on the 27th of June. Due to the hike in price of flight ticket, he has decided to wait and see if the price might reduce. Please how long is the TRV valid before it expires. He told me it wasn't stated on his passport. Thanks. |

Hello House, I have 2 enquiries. 1. How do I call the husband of my mother's sister (aunt)? A relative, uncle or what? 2. If my sponsor has about 100,000$ in his account, how much money should I write in the available funds box on the Application 1259 form( application for studying outside Canada)? |

Jayne07: Woah....you've only been working for a short while. Just submit your statement of account no matter how little your balance is. If you can build it with small funds. Alot of people have gotten trv even with balance of 200k in their personal account although their sponsor is probably buoyant. It's simply to show your savings accumulated from the income derived from your employment. |

michV: @Michv, I am afraid u are playing with someone's future with the kind of advice I see u give to this young girl. Changing her sponsor (good), but advising or suggesting for her to lie against her previous entries is very wrong and can permanently disqualify her for Canadian Visa. That's a Lacuna for you. Honestly, I wanted to stay away from responding to post here cos I knew I know Nothing "Socrates" like. The suspension and tension associated with the trv stuff is killing. I am sure one or two dudes in here know what am talking about. @Jane, please, please, please, its not over yet. What u just need is a glass of water. I will suggest u can only add to what ever supporting documents u put already. Adding a more credible and closer sponsor to the one u have already is better (just thinking). But u definitely need a glass of water first. You are almost there already, let them fund ur personal account as well. But in all take ur time fix the prob logically and constructively. Good luck 4 Likes |

mannimakerjnr: Write the amount he/she has declared to support you with. If you have your own fund. Add the amount he/she has declared plus your own fund. That will be your available funds. Basically available funds is just the fund that is liquidated and readily available for your stay and tuition fee in Canada. |

Ajayi4:With your US travel history and work experience, your chances for Canadian study permit is high. As par work permit, your study permit authorises you to work in Canada. Choosing your uncle as sponsor is fine but try to include a proof of relationship (even though you both have same surname), and include your financial statement too. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by irshadmuaz: 11:12pm On Jul 12, 2016 |
Well Canada has been a disappointment for me, It was difficult enough securing a Masters admission in Electrical Engineering, but the study permit application experience was outrageous, i mean 4 months processing time? after waiting for this long without knowing ones fate and majority of the applications are rejected. I applied for my study visa to Canada on 18th april, after almost 2 and a half months, on june 20th, I got a reject. Insufficient financial capacity to pay tuition and live without working in canada or so was the reason. Showed an SOA of about 8.5 M. It was heart breaking and agitating, after waiting for all this time. But I switched to my backup plan (USA). had also been accepted by a US university for MSC in ECE. I completed my US visa application for student visa on 24th june, just 3 days after getting the canadian reject, I scheduled my visa interview for the 1st of July, went for the interview, visa got approved ( I mean even if it were rejected I get to know immediately) on same day, picked up my stamped passport on 11th July and ready to depart for the US. less than 2 weeks overall processing time. flight tickets all whatsoever are down and ready to go. All I want to convey here is Canadian Education is for the really patient fellows, You have to be really lucky to get it in the first try. Just shared my experience, might be helpful to some people. 30 Likes |

michV: The mind boggles regarding the way some people respond to comments on this forum. @michv, just as you are free to give advice (no matter now inappropriate it may seem), every other individual is entitled to give advice that is contrary to what you may have suggested. Stop acting like you do not know how to engage in a civil argument (why one would need to do this is beyond me). How on earth can you make comments like "Dont let me give you a blast that will result me from being blocked"? Do we now dwell in gutters that we would feel the need to sound so aggressive? Mind you, no one has the monopoly of aggression and do not take civility as an indication that people here do not know how to respond in a snippy insulting manner that you have exhibited. Bottomline; @Jane will consider every advice and do what she deems to be right. In my opinion, the more you attack someone and sound the way you did, the more it indicates a red flag on how knowledgeable you are to be providing your supposed advice. 10 Likes |

Ajayi4:Being your uncle is enough. If you go with the lies, then be prepared to enter the lies in the Family Info form. It may be detected and your application will be refused. If it isn't detected now, it will form a permanent record with CIC and may hurt you in the future. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by yemdogg: 11:28pm On Jul 12, 2016 |
mannimakerjnr: He's your uncle. However, you can further explain that he's your uncle by marriage to your aunt. But seriously he's your uncle. He should also explain this too in his letter of sponsorship. Ensure to provide marriage certificate between your aunt and him. If you can |

Chebe01:saying I'm advising someone to lie in a public forum like this shouldn't be condoned just like that because another person would also read element of whatever base on his/her understanding. 1s old sponsor failed,i said change sponsor/claim ur present sponsor as aunt/uncle than the past you called family friend which a VO wouldnt get convinced for such person to make the commitment..have i noted lie?..please differentiate between the word claim and lie? Advising in using the word LIE in this kind of sensitive forum is a considered shame and insanity to this thread which i wldnt consider likely if anyone calls me out on that..at this junction i LOG OFF the forum and remain passive reader/observer so that some fellows here will be very much happy and happier |

irshadmuaz:Congrats on your US visa. With a STEM degree, you would be better off in the US. If you decide to come to Canada after your studies (which I highly doubt anyway since the US offers more opportunity, and your employer can file for H1B, then green card), your MSc degree would give you good points towards an application for Canadian PR through express entry. |

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR EVERYBODY I have been a silent reader. I have made some discovery about how CIC process our applications. You don't have to stress yourself worrying for 7 days in a week. I discovered that VOs have specified days that they actually review your application. I made the discovery after sleepless nights of going through the threads and gathering vital informations from part 1 to this last part of the thread. The following are each step of your application and the days they are reviewed by the VOs 1. Medical Request - Mostly Fridays & Mondays. Rarely Thursdays & Wednesday. 2. Medical Passed - Mostly Fridays & Mondays. 3. Approval Mail: - Mostly Tuesdays & Wednesdays, rarely Thursdays. 4. Refusal Mail: - Mondays & Fridays 5. Passport Dispatch: - Tuesdays & Wednesdays. I concluded based on testimonies from Part 1 to this part of the thread. Don't give yourself HBP. Once you don't get a mail on Monday, wait till Friday, and if you don't get on Friday you can always wait till Monday. Also, try and engage yourself in order things so you as to beat depression. Congrats to those who have collected their TRVs. Best of luck to the hopeful Stay Blessed 15 Likes 3 Shares |

Okay then. Do you have reciepts of payment made during second sch till date? Do you have pictures together? Old and present? Can he make financial commitments before you apply? .. Because if it's not a company that rolls over 100 of millions regularly (I mean a big one, I can google and see how big they are) Why should he spend about 8Million in a year to make a profit of say 2million in a year. He is your sponsor and has a company!!!! Shikena Everything would look made up when the company is your sponsor and employer and not your parent. It removes all credibility there is in your employment situation. Hence the "personal asset" refusal reason. You can make him your sponsor and the company as source of funds. If you've stated that you work for his company (NOT HIM) submit a letter of introduction stating your yearly income. Try not to write the letter of sponsorship on the same letter head that the letter of introduction is being written, you could make the former on a plain paper. Jayne07: 3 Likes |
