this info is not fail safe(like all human society) but feelers are very optimistic abt a statement from d psc dis week (just like it was expected last week) lets keep in mind dat traditionally d police gives a time lag of three weeks before commencing a new screening phase. the state screening ended on 25 june - so do d math n keep hope alive. God help us.

The list will be out this month and any time soon, but i feel state with higher number for local govt have more figures than states with lesser number,u dnt expect Ani ikechukwu to disclose the plan of the commission just like that,the commission at abuja have the names from each states already,just trying to balance the fed character policy of a thing and the gap between specialist and general duty,cos the breakdown is not what pple think it is.Thanks

Zonal list,and screening is taking just 3 days ,following week after the zonal ,final list will be out.....and on the issue of senator taking over the recruitment process,ask anyone around u,each senator have a single slot for a fed civil service in a year,many of which use their slot for navy already,and many waiting for immigration cos they dont like npf,few that use their alot for npf still have issue cos most of their candidate are over age ,and that is also part of the reason they want to delay this process .let us just pray for good luck

simply tired of all these crooked stories... enough of raising people's anxiety. the list will come out wen its time. let's stop posting unnecessary news and post with no genuine source... And if not shortlisted, that won't be the end of life. Many opportunities still await us.

There have been concerns over the credibility of the recruitment of 10,000 personnel into the Nigerian Police Force – which was approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.The force is expected to recruit 500 Cadet Assistant Superintendents of Police(ASPs), 500 Cadet Inspectors, 1,500 Specialist Officers and 7, 500 Constables as selected by the Police Service Commission.This implies that each state is supposed to have no fewer than 13 Cadet ASPs, 13 Cadet Inspectors, 40 Specialists and 202 constables.Meanwhile, the Acting Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has charged the newly decorated Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) to key into the present administration’s focus on fighting corruption, reviving the economy and tackling insecurity.Those who feel aggrieved over the recruitment have insisted that the federating states should be the basisfor allocation of the slots and not local governments.The PSC’s spokesman, Ikechukwu Ani said, “The Federal Character Principle would be applied in the recruitment process. Whatever the principle says, the commission will adhere to it. We are for now taking all the successful candidates to the next level.”According to the Federal Character Act, “the local governments shall be equitably represented. Thus, the formula for sharing and distribution of posts among the local council areas shall be as specified or on the basis of Senatorial districts as appropriate with a percentage range of between 30 and 35.”Ani told The Guardian that, “the reports of the screening in states are not yet out so we are yet to compile names or even know who comes from which part of the country, but we know that the right thing would be done.”According to a lawyer, Cosmas Akighir, the concept of Federal Character as stipulated is not equitable, because it favours states with the higher number of local councils.“The delineation is not favourable to some states. For instance Bayelsa with eight local governments has a percentage sharing range of 10 to 14,while Borno state with 27 local governments has a range of three to five.”“In this wise, the lesser the better butwhere allocation of jobs is concerned, such as in the ongoing recruitment, such states will be disadvantaged,” he said.
