By the principles of physics Load is measured in Kg, hence it can be measured with either spring balance or beams, though i think we can use one of the vector laws to calculate that, but the coordinates are not provided... I think ur question should be "who is doing more work" , then we can use the formula for work done= Force * distance... In that case A is doing more work 17 Likes 2 Shares |

Well u can look at it from this angle. Both A and B are applying vertical upward forces so d one with d greater force should b d one bearing most of d grunt. Assume distance from A to load is P n distance from B to load is Q(bearing in mind dat P is greater than Q). We can use d principle of moments about d given load.clockwise moment shd equal anticlockwise moment. FA × P. = FB × Q FA = (Q/P) × FB Now since P is greater than Q it can b said that the force exerted at A is less than that at B Joe's just thinking 12 Likes 2 Shares |

It's the black guy, B. Black guys get power too much, na why dem shift d load go him side. Na why most foreign team dey always use blacks for ketekete (camel) work. e.g France in Euro 2016 NB: I'm a black man and I'm not a racist 9 Likes 1 Share |

Mr. A is carrying the heavier load, I believe. Why is this so? The weight of the load and the weight of B are fairly at the same side.. (beyond the midpoint of the bar). The implication of this setup is that, the complex of B and the load would instigate a clockwise moment. A direct consequence of this is that the bar at A would tend to be lifted up.. To prevent this from happening, Mr. A must send a force of the same magnitude as the weight of B and the load put together...this force must act in an opposite direction to the line of action of the weights of B and the load. This force would make up the anti-clockwise moment. In conclusion, A is exerting a force equal to the weights of B and the load put together. Therefor, A is doing a greater work. 3 Likes |

By applying principle of moments, (anti -CW moments= CW mmts) the upward reaction at B's shoulder required to keep the system balanced is greater considering the respective distances from the load. Therefore B is exerting a greater force than A |

dedons: By applying the principle of moment from physics, the load carried or experienced by A or B will be equal to the reaction at the support which in this case is at their shoulders. From physical observation since length is not given, let the distance of the load to B = X, and that of A to the load be 3X (to make the calculation simpler let's make use of the ratio of the distances thus we have 1 and 3) Taking moments at both ends we have 4A - w = 0 A = w/4 = 0.25w 4B - 3w = 0 B = 3w/4 = 0.75w (w = weight) From the result above its obvious B is carrying more weight. 3 Likes |

even without knowledge of physics we can deduce from common sense that B is heavier.. If common sense fails, making a physical setup like this will prove that B is heavier. Anybody that has carried a long and heavy load can attest to this. Must we put our sense in the dustbin because of knowledge of ss2 principle of moments? This thread is proof that formal education isn't a basis for possession of common sense, i swear No wonder our graduates are unemployable 10 Likes 1 Share |

I think it's B......this is a physics question tho not a brain test. If not, I will just propose one wicked maths question and call it a brain test. |
