A creationist Christian has built a £77million replica of Noah’s ark to prove that the story actually happened.

Back in 2010 Ken Ham, who believes everything in the Bible should be taken literally, announced that his organisation Answers in Genesis would construct the 510-foot-long ship in Kentucky.

Since then, scientists have been arguing that it would be detrimental to children’s education – taking particular umbrage with the fact that it was granted state tax incentives.

However, it was opened to great fanfare on Tuesday – with a high school marching band performing before a ribbon cutting.

‘I believe this is going to be one of the greatest Christian outreaches of this era in history,’ Ham, president of Answers in Genesis, said.

The attraction, called Ark Encounter, is based on the Old Testament tale about a man who got a warning from God that a flood would destroy the world.

Ham says the ark will now stand as proof that stories in the Bible are true.

Answers in Genesis believes that God created everything 6,000 years ago – including humans and dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs became extinct around 65million years before the first humans appeared.


Jim Helton, leader of the atheist group Tri-State Freethinkers, said: ‘Basically this boat is a church raising scientifically illiterate children and lying to them about science.

‘It’s a clear violation of separation of church and state. What they’re doing is utterly ridiculous and, anywhere else, I don’t think it would be allowed.’

As an addition, baby animals occupy a lot less space and a wise man would have considered how to fit such animals in the ark after being given dimensions. Simple intelligence would suggest, "the smaller the better" a baby lion would be like your house cat "playful". A baby elephant would be same. A baby crocodile would be 200 times smaller than it would be when fully grown.

Or dont you know you can tell sex of an animal from delivery?

Plus temperament would be in its infancy so very easy to manage.

Most baby mammals feed on milk at infancy and 40 days isnt that long to cause chaos in their systems. Its simple intelligence bro. Cows, oxen,goats, mooses etc all produce milk. Some of them may have been brought in as adults in order to serve as milk generators to feed the ones yet in infancy so focus of tending and feeding would be more on the adults than on the infants.

Truth is if you sit down and think about it a little even you would see how easy it would be to draw up a feeding method and cleaning method.

But you just refuse to think because that is your trademark.

The bible said 2 of each and not 2 from same parents. When it says 2 of each male and female thats exactly what it meant. 1 male and 1 female. It never said size or age or parental connection but of course its Noah who has to reason that out.

Calves are generally torn away from their mothers within a day of birth, which causes them both extreme distress. Mother cows can be heard calling for their calves for days. Male calves are destined to end up in cramped veal crates or barren feedlots where they will be fattened for beef, and females are sentenced to the same sad fate as their mothers.

You still dont get it do you? If a cow gives birth and the calf is separated from her with artificial stimulation replicating feeding of her calf such as with the use of hands to milk the cow it can continue producing milk for almost a year.

Milking cows by hand fools the cow into continuing to lactate.

I guess a 500 year old Noah was smarter than you.
