Growing up...My dad had a book store so I read 95percent of all the books here...that crazy nostalgic feeling...So sad there are no books that drive my imagination wide like these small books again. My kids must read all these classics in future, they must enjoy what their dad enjoyed.. You can actually get some of these timeless classic on http://gen.lib.rus.ec/ Search and you might just be lucky 1 Like |

Ishilove: armadeo: Omagzee: O wow! Just wow! I used to see him in traffic on Igbosere Road and Broad Street virtually every day between 1982 and 1989 and now I can see him perform again on Youtube. The first video is a documentary about him. The second video is of his performance at Island Club in 2007 (probably his last public performance before his death). He was introduced by King Sunny Ade. Below the videos is a picture of his statue beside the new fountain at Tinubu Square. Kokoro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6mVaEz0SgA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCc5C7AfAJ4 4 Likes |

naptu2: I think I read 98% of pacesetter novels. At some point I read all! That's how John Grisham's novels are to me now. Pacesetter novel that has stuck with me is "the undesirable element". That was even it's first novel I read. Reading novels was a competition back then. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Hmm... These books, are they still reproduced and sold? or do we have to wait for people to sell theirs before we buy? If they are not being republished, will it be wrong to retype these books and make them free e-formats? |

adexsimply:Lol, truly, the first 2-3 pages of mine were missing as well...but the story and narration really got me. Next was "Christmas in d city"...long before then, used to see "Evbu my love" in my aunty's wardrobe but never gave it a shot until I read my first two, then became a pacesetter addict. |

Ishilove: Nice thread. One classic that comes to mind is 'When a child is Motherless' by Andrew Okogba. This book got me so emotional especially the part where he lost his mom in River Niger. Below is an excerpt from the book... “Do not cry, my child. Your experience is in line with the experience of any child who is motherless. When a child is motherless, he knows no love. When a child is motherless, he lacks the tender hands of a mother who cares so much. His life is that of misery and sorrow. But life itself is full of hopes and there is no need to despair until destiny takes its course.” 5 Likes 1 Share
