/ There is nothing special about Jos. The so-called "Millionaires' Quarters" is just "one eyed among the blind" establishment. The weather is very cold around Christmas. The hills have beautiful lowers. Every other thing looks like a typical Northern city. The city is stagnant. \ |

Jos is the best place for vacations in Nigeria, I did my Nysc there In 2014 and it was a nice one with the chilling temperature which I loved so much and the natural beauty but one can't predict when there will be crisis or bombing there;I experienced one though @terminus,it was awful... |

NO. I Lived for 8 years in Benin. If not now that oshomole constructed /beautified ring road and other areas. Benin has been like a big village. 78% of buildings in Benin are mud buildings.. Benin is not a neat /clean town at all |

I have to be insane to choose any southern city over jos. In fact shoot me if I do that. Southerners just have a way of hyping their cities but most towns there are over crowded and smelly. Lagos is unlivable these days. Everything bad about a city is found in lagos. They usually talk about security issues as if the South is any more secured. Ritual killing, kidnapping, cult killing, armed robbery etc are all very rampant in Southern Nigeria. I will choose jos, Kaduna, Kano, abj, etc over any southern city. Yeah, I have been to most Nigerian cities so I know what I am saying. |

Cutezt: Exactly my broda. Thia is why i love my state so much Am currently in the south-south, and most times when it rains, we must swim home. Stagnant water will just be all over the streets, covering everywhere. And as usual, mosquitoes breed everywhere. Jos is just seriously unique. God bless our beloved city and state 1 Like |

Wow, served in Jos. Left Jos around 17th of May dis yr. Weather is dawn colder in Pankshin LGA, cold in Mangu. Yet, cold in Jos d capital, make sure to dress like Yankee during Nov-Jan. I witnessed snow. I virtually toured d whole of Jos, both North nd South. I stayed in Jos North, in Apata, in btw Chobe mkt and unity Junction. Places I've often been to while in Jos: Apata, Busa buji, katako, Zaria by pass, Enugu agidi, Laranto, Gadabiu, West of mine (fish tinx), Chobe, moon shine side(tot in sch along dea) , Polo(watched Polo game, played on horse), Bauchi ring road, Unijos, College of forestry(CDS competition), Faringada (to buy cheaper), Rukuba, satellite mkt, gone to Kabong, Ekwa staff (went to NCCF Sec), Command sec sch Zaria Rd (was dea during Nysc Corpers cup), Fed Govt college (really cold dea), Jos Prison(went to visit d inmates), hill station, Tudun Wada (going to sec), Angwarukuba, eto baba (to commission projt), winners British America (Plateau Corpers Praise), millionaire quarters, FRIs , GRA near new bridge (Training), Fed Sec, state Sec, House of rep, Plateau State hosp (my 1st PPA), EKWA teaching hosp (Jankwanu) opp Mikel Obi park(due to Malaria, Jos teaching hosp (both old and new in Lamingo), Township Stadium, Terminus!, hmm(Almadu Bellow way,, banking), wildlife pack (sent forth meet)dat place Lion escaped, Jos museum/Zoo (picnic), Churches etc ooo In South, I've been to:: Miango Low cost (Nysc Sec), Old airport Junction (Coca cola, Nasco), Jona Jang way (Swan paint coy, industrial ave), 360 command, Ray field (house on the rock for Praise concert) , NTA, Plateau Poly. Etc etc Out of Jos, have been to.. Barkin Ladi and Mangu abt 6times (Official duty nd as an Instructor)... Make I pause here. ..every city has its crisis,, all depends on the trigger level.. Met 2 bombs explode of wch one of my stu lost her dad in one of the blast.. Jos is filled by diff tribes. I still love J'town. hoebamaa:no offense bro, but it's better for you not to comment than to comment on what you don't know, the Bolden ed above just gave you away, you have never been to Jos, how can you say Jos North and South don't pally? Jos North is full of beromites, anaguta, etc and Jos South is full of beromites, so how will beromites not settle just because they are from different LGA? The only local government that you can say all the 16 lgas in Jos can't visit freely, is wase lga, because it mainly consist of Muslims, even at that, Christians are very much in wase 1 Like 1 Share |
