bch is under life science while mbc is under basic med sciences, in mbc u gat to do anatomy, physiology in 200 nd 300l while bch u do maths and odas. Mbc do basically same courses with few exceptions and you pay more in mbc cos in 100l all basic med,med$surg,dentistry students pay extra 20k as colllege dev levy coupled with higher fees for faculty clearance compared to bch in life science..but in reality I dnt think there is any major difference in terms of employment.. Cos mbc despite addition of medical courses(anatomy, physiology) are not licensed to run hospital labs by medlab council.. To me if you want bch take pure bch thats where real metabolites are and not mbc, but if your intend to work in hosp lab take medlab.mbc is neither fully rooted in bch nor in medlab.*my2kobo*

T's more than possible,lol...Would have gone for Medicine if not for my 2.2,though I don't regret I came out with such grade..Am going into the oil and gas sector with interest in the Environment and armed with required professional courses and a second degree in environment-related course,the sky is just my starting point!!

I like everybody's contribution. Presently Serving as a corps member(nysc). BCH is a very interesting course and good one, for someone who is ready not just to listen to lecturers,but also study on his own. It opens ur eyes to not just one, but various fields, which helps in having one's own organisation.Though not compulsory, but it is very important for any bch graduate to go for M.Sc or/and phd program in order not to be a half baked product. But more importantly, it is not the course that a man studies that makes him rich, rather, the blessing of the lord which adds no sorrow. So lets trust God to bless us irrespective of where we found ourselves.
But really,bch is a very good course for someone who is ready to face it big time. I presently have so many things in my head now,more of which ve gotten from personal study(txtbooks & online). just waiting to finish my post graduate course before exploding.
My advice is this: If u r not interested in a lot of personal study , then pls dont choose bch, or else u ll get urself extremely frustrated.
FINALLY, if u find urself studying bch, just focus and get what God has brought u there to get. That u ll study bch had already been planned by God even before u came into this world. Remember:God is never confused,only men are.
