This issue of tithe has been disturbing me for some time now. My mum always advice me to pay my tithe but i feel reluctant to do it cos of these effizy pastors...Presently my uncle is angry with me cos i didnt pay my tithe last month but i dont give a damn....I have made up my mind to be giving my tithe to children{preferably new born babies} or elderly people with effect 4rm this month.

Yes I know so many people will quote Malachi where the bible say bring your tithes to the store house of God, does that mean that is the only way to pay our tithe, if you say so, then explain the other places Bible talked about tithe. In Hebrew bible talks about Abraham paying his tithe to Melchizedek and God also ordered other tribes of Israel to pay tithe to the tribe of Levi because they are not meant to work. So my question is where, who, how, what is the correct way to pay our tithe. Plz I need bible scholars to clear me in this, ur answers are highly appreciated

Pastors are pastors not levites.
A levite must be from the levi lineage.
I said read up on the early church. They never collected offerings or tithes all they collected were contributions when it's needed.

Paying tithe is just a smart way of ensuring people are enslaved and mandated to pay money to the pastors

This is the point, God is looking for a way to bless the less privilege, God wants to take from those that have and give to those that do not have, God knew the government of any country may fail to provide for the poor, that is why he said in the book of Malachi that you should bring your tithe to his house thinking that the church will not fail to give those money to the poor, the widow,orphans and other less privilege but UNFORTUNATE the CHURCH has FAILED TOO by diverting those income to build an expensive schools,buying private gets even when the tither are getting poorer because they sow their tithe on a fruitless ground

Nice points.. I've always preferred charity or less privileged cos. it feels ok, compared to pastors who have more than enof. already

Some now monitor their members earning huge salaries to see what they pay as tithe.. Buh still, I feel some should go to the church too

Levite's are full time pastors.

Tithes and offering in churches goes into different purposes and for payment of salaries to church officials, instrumentalist, widows, orphans and the needy, missions and missionaries, church maintenance and supplies.

Looks to me like you're more concerned with what the tithe will be used for than where you should pay it.

That already is a shadow of doubt. And if you're having that already, please don't pay a tithe. Just keep it.

How do we expect the Church activities to be funded if tithes are not being paid? How do you want the Full-time Ministers of God to catered-for themselves? How do want the Buildings where people congregate to be built? Do you expect people to sit on the floor in an open space come rain and shine to worship God? Questions waiting for answers.

If he's helping people, it should not be from his tithe.

The tithe should be brought to God's house so there can be food. Tithes and offering in the times of the old testament was brought to the house of God as a token of appreciation and so there can be food for the Levites, this is because the Levite's were not allowed to work, their own work was to tend to the house of God as priests.
So they had a portion of these tithes and offeting to cater for themselves and their families.

Ask the holy spirit for directions. Its most important that you give cheerfully and not grudgingly or under compulsion.
