In the next few years, I expect Ogun state to be competing with Lagos in economic indices. As it is now, the state will definitely oust Rivers and Delta. The state just started utilizing it's potentials under Amosun ooo, the state is not even an oil producing state yet ooo. Imagine how much development will come in once we have a functioning railway that connects Lagos-Ogun and stable power supply that will make cost of setting up business in the state cheap.

Brehs!

Add that to the real estate boom the state is currently experiencing

I foresee that Tinubu-Fashola kind of scenario playing out in Ogun where the successor outshines the predecessor.

Na to open shop for that red-mud area sure pass cos e be like say poison go sell gaan grin cheesy We never
even start sef, dem don dey cry grin cheesy

This is good news coming from Ogun State.

The state has had negative news coming from there in the last 2weeks.

Another worthy investment of an Odu'a son on Odu'a soil.

Good development. Obviously bad news for dem dem.

To all those of you who have made it a habit to rant and lament online about the state of the nation, I advise you do something worthwhile with your life. Wait for no government to come solve your problems for you. This is the time to think deep and come up with something of value to your immediate society.

Look around you and you'll see that plenty opportunities abound.

Many of you wailing online waiting for govt jobs that are not there can do something with your life:
1. Laundry business requires very small capital.
2. Waste management service doesn't need hundreds of thousand to start.
3. Private lessons for your hood children
4. House cleaning services
5. Game centre, etc, etc.

Don't be lazy, get something doing!

Ogun state has the highest number of Universities and Industries in Nigeria. The criminal activities of the Ijaw Militants that have inflitrated the creeks and Waterways of the Gateway state would not stop her and her Yoruba big sister i:e Lagos from surging ahead

If Ogun state doesn't invest in Urban development, mass housing and transportation then I know they are not ready to take advantage of the proximity of Lagos.
