I am Akintunde, I graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University in 2011. I studied mechanical engineering with second class upper { 2:1 }.
I did not at first look for job and decided to do a business of my own which crumble after 2 years and made me go bankrupt.
I have my family to cater for. I've been jobless for around 4 years now. I need your help to secure any job that can help put food on my table.
I am ready to relocate to anywhere I can get the job. I will greatly appreciate your assistance.
I am not begging for fund but rather willing to sacrifice my first 3 months salary to anyone that can be of help.
thanks I will be waiting in anticipation.

I've gone thru thick and thin sir, I doubt if there is anything I can't do at this time except for indulging in criminal acts.
As have worked in so many offices before. My last job was a plastic moulding operator in a well established company before I quit to start my own business which crumbled, now to go back is problem. But sir I am ready to start all over again anyhow.

1. You're a mechanical Engr.
2. You're still young to sound desperate.
3. You went to a good school, but you ought to use your experience to start setting yourself up for better prospects.

Why not start an auto technician job. Forget the dirt the initial stigma and insults, get down and learn how to fix cars. When its the right time, you'd get a job (if your fate allows for such.)

I am an urban and regional planner bachelors degree and I've got HSE, and loan and risk mgt certs, yet I am currently an auto technician. When its the right time, I know a letter of offer of appointment will come.

Nothing good comes free, however, you can cut your teeth if you're willing to learn.
By the way, where's your location?

And that's why you're insulting me? Did I insult the op? Typical nairalanders...

My point exactly. undecided

To OP: don't dwell on your certificate. You can apply for a teacher in a private secondary school for the main time.

. It's very difficult to secure a better job in Nigeria without a better connection to people at the top.

May God help you.

@Op: I understand your plight. It is really not easy. After working hard and getting a good result, you just realise that there are no jobs out there. I would advise that you take up a teaching job and pursue a Masters degree if you can. Apply to College of Education and Polytechnics (both private and public) and keep your fingers crossed. If the schools wouldn't take you, you can also apply as a volunteer and if accepted, there are many ways money will come. i.e. tutorials, writing books, etc. A friend of mine applied for voluntary service in Delta State University. He was taken without pay to assist the department. The department assisted him financially from departmental dues and he organised tutorials to earn more. In less than a year he was eventually employed and ratified.
There are also some good secondary schools that pay well in Nigeria. Try and locate some of them and apply there. Be ready to do anything.
There are many good businesses you can do in Nigeria with little capital:
1. Publication business
2. Online delivery
3. Lending services
4. Laundry services
5. Interior decoration
6. Environmental care services
7. Waste management
etc.

Meanwhile, try and brush up on your written English. I caught some bad spellings and syntactic errors ^^^. This point is imperative.
