70% of Lagos are still dirty... Their water is very black... Why? |
Re: - by Rossikk(m): 1:22pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
buharisbae:Shut up if you don't know Lagos. To say everywhere outside Lagos island is a slum is the height of ignorance. But I guess it is free to post ignorant rubbish on NL by people who spent two days in Lagos and have become experts on the city. I guess Ikeja, Surulere, Ilupeju, Maryland, Ogba, Festac, Anthony, etc are also 'slums' in your dull head! |
Re: - by Henrydone: 1:22pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
Buhari or what do you call yourself, why are you so bloody-minded more than 40% of Lagos are islands here the green part are mainland and the butter one are the islands
|
Re: - by Henrydone: 1:27pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
Lagos mainland
|
Re: - by Rossikk(m): 1:33pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
buharisbae:Stop exposing your bushness. Enugu is a tiny village compared to Lagos. It can't even boast of one single high rise building, and you have the nerve to compare it to Lagos. Are you mad? And what exactly is 'beautiful' about Enugu? It's just a place that's had it's major roads fixed...nothing more. 6 Likes |

Still Lagos mainland

The issue we have is dirty and disorganized environments. Our cities are littered with unplanned buildings, ugly structures, rusty roofs and heaps of garbage. A little love for our environment will change all that. 2 Likes |
Re: - by Igboic: 1:54pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
Rossikk: Go and sit down. Enugu is a better planned and organized city than Lagos and can only grow better when Igboland breaks free of the Nigerian yoke. |
Re: - by buharisbae(f): 2:05pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
Rossikk: Lol do u think I Dont live in Lagos? all the places u called how many % of those places are BEAUTIFUL compared to the slums in those areas Lagos is beautiful but is not the the most beautiful in Nigeria #Fact! |
Re: - by wristbangle: 2:09pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
buharisbae: Enugu is a structured and beautiful environment but it's ridiculous to say it's more beautiful than lagos. Have u been to ibadan lately? Ibadan has even leapfrog Enugu in terms of terrain beauty. AkwaIbom is still new and developing. |
Re: - by wristbangle: 2:12pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
Rossikk: Lol bro, I have been to Enugu and it's a well structured, beautiful and peaceful city but with the current infrastructure development and arrangement in Lagos, Enugu cannot match lagos and even IBadan at the moment. Akure and Enugu city have the same development. 1 Like |

Re: - by xkris11(m): 2:18pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
I just wish seun can ban post comparing Lagos with other part in nigeria or Africa. The truth is lagos is still under developed and not to be called mega city. With the revenue generated, lagos is just overhyped. |
Re: - by Igboic: 2:18pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
Dangerous25: Lol! Which cultures are irrelevant and backward? Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani cultures perhaps. If so I will subscribe to this your idea. In addition to the capital of the New Western African country being in Igboland or in Ibibio-Annang-Efik region. Any other arrangement other than this will not be accepted by Ndiigbo. So, what do you think now? |
Re: - by wristbangle: 2:20pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
buharisbae: Yes on 2 occasion. Enugu is like Akure city. I wish I have pictures for you to compare and contrast. There are slum areas in lagos like Ajeromi LGA(ajegunle, orile and ijora seven up), abule-egba, dosunmu, some part of oshodi/isolo LGA but recently Ambode has flag off reconstruction of roads within these places which in 2 years time, it will transform to much better area. A city of 20 million population coupled with small landmass is not easy to maintain. Enugu is less populated, remember? Btw no city in Nigeria can be called worldclass megacity. Take a look at south africa's port of elizabeth, capetown, johannesburg, etc and tellme if lagos/FCt can match them |
Re: - by Henrydone: 2:24pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
buharisbae:Ibadan is better than Enugu in any g-thing so keep laughing when cities in southern west are really growing Ibadan city
|
Re: - by juman(m): 2:27pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
There are no so good leaders in nigeria that can lead the country to that height. I wonder why we dont have the kind of awolowo anymore. |

Still Ibadan
|
Re: - by Rossikk(m): 2:36pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
Igboic:How is it better planned and organized? Those are just empty words signifying nothing. The city needs to erect more impressive structures, tar more roads, build a CBD, or central business district, build more shopping malls - not just one - and build some world class hotels, resorts, conference centres, and start building intra-city rail links etc, before even thinking of comparing itself to Lagos. 1 Like |
Re: - by Igboic: 2:40pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
Rossikk: Exactly what I'm saying. The above will happen immediately we break the current demonic entanglements we have with people of Lagos colony and the North. And Enugu becomes a true capital city of a proud Igbo nation, as she was Destined to be. |
Re: - by Igboic: 2:42pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
juman: What exactly did Awolowo achieve for western region, when available stats shows that the Western region lagged behind the East, up to the start of the civil war. |

We are getting there. |

Most times its disgraceful when people post pictures of lagos in an open forum like this and tag it megacity, it really shows how backward we are. There is a topic on nairaland about beautiful east Africa country, can't remember the country, I was amazed about the pictures posted, how developed and organised that city is. Nigeria politicians are not the problem but the people who don't know where they are and where they needed to be. quote author=wristbangle post=47725626] Yes on 2 occasion. Enugu is like Akure city. Re: - by Igboic: 2:51pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
Rossikk: "Proud Igbo nation", you seem to have missed this part of my post. Where will the money come from? The same place the money used to build up Igboland after the ruins of the civil war came from, with the FG neglect. That's exactly where the money will be coming from. And secondly, I wonder how where the money will be coming from is any of your business. You are not Igbo the last time I checked. Quick question for you, where did the money this Igboman is using to build this structure in his rural community coming from? https://www.nairaland.com/3215044/see-what-coming-up-rural |
