It has never been this worst. If it wasn't for corruption that pervaded the last administration and their subsequent removal from power by the electorates, there wouldn't have been an economic recession if they were still in power. That does not mean that corruption is not going on underground under this mallamm.Pmb is the real clueless one.

You solve corruption by recording transactions and automating that which should be automated. Don't give people cash when a transfer between bank accounts is all that is needed to make the necessary payments.

And corrupt officials are very prominent in this current administration. Not only are they corrupt but men such as Buhari, Amaechi and Fashola are incompetent.

Youths, is this the best we can do? Criticizing all day?? It's time we start looking inward to solve these problems nd not on the government alone.
#JustSaying.

Really ? How come the economy has crashed within one year under APC ? Maybe we should take it as first of its kind because, under GEJ we weren't suffering like this.

What was he thinking when he was auto piloting Nigerian Economy without cabinet , claiming his body odour was doing wonders hence, saw no reason to appoint his so called noise makers ? Probably, he must have thought that money flows in just on its own.

Did he and many of his sai babas not realize that Nigerian economy relies solely on that single oil revenue ? Why did he pick fight which will disturb the little we would be getting from NigerDelta ? Was NigerDelta not at peace when it was handed over to Buhari ? Why did he pick fight against NigerDelta at the first place, now asking them to accept negotiation ? I guess he was drunk with the new sheriff in town mantra then that made him engage militants without any plans on how to go about it.

What has he achieved with his NigerDelta provocation so far ? Nothing.

Buhari is clueless and arrogant, reason he came in wiith the mindset of lording it over everybody and not running an inclusive government.

Thank God we are in all these together.

New sheriff in town effect we no see again. Body odour no work again..

Omenka, beremx, passingshot. Body odour is no longer working and the new sheriff in town has put on fire in NigerDelta but now behaving like a toddler. He even ran away from their threat not to visit Ogoniland.

Please give evidence to the allegation that he provoked Niger Delta..........Every follower of Nigerian politics new that there will be an unrest from the South probably SS....When GEJ was in charge, the North was the problem and now that a Northerner is the President, SS is the problem...................

You saying we weren't suffering like this under GEJ is totally illiterate...as if it was Buhari's presence that brought the hardship. I agree that this Govt is kinda slow and appearing clueless like the former. But stop being petty

Buhari's biggest error was looking down on Nigerians in general & ND in particular. when you broadcast to the whole world that your people are corrupt, criminals, 5%s, irritants, noisemakers etc, you are demarketing your country. as a leader in a democratic state, the last thing you need is to encourage divisions especially when you are not 'sound upstairs'. Obama said "as a president, I know the impact of my words (and as such) I do not use them lightly"...

It is not APC's fault.............APC doesn't control the price of crude oil in the world or the Govt of Buhari..........If you want to blame the Govrnmt be objective because WE AR ALL IN IT TOGETHER.
I sometimes wonder the way some Nigerians think, from the followers to the leaders everything is about crude oil. This government and past have all paid lip service to diversifying our economy. Do you imagine how much Nigeria stands to make annually from agriculture and solid minerals? Of all the super powers of today how many have crude oil.

I totally agree that this Government started doing what is required to revamp the economy very late because of the stubbornness of the President. But please guys a country's economy does not collapse in 1 year, what you are seeing is a reflection of what has been happening over the years. The price of crude oil started declining during GEJ's govt and continued sharply afterward, no single person can be blamed for the decrease in price of crude oil. Election has come and gone, you people should forget about the election and move on. If you have a reason to blame the president, do it without being petty. Whether we all like it or not, Buhari is the President of Ibo, Hausa, Yoruba and collectively Nigeria. so stop all this attack that has helped no one.
I don't think you correct about your sermon on the economy, there are certain comments or actions that can send a economy on a downward spin in less than a year, that's why men like george soros, (his comment wrecked the british pound in 1982) are not permitted to make speculative economic statement, same with greenspan alan (former) us fed reserve boss.
read also how speculation led to the asian economic crisis in 1997. I can go on and on to remind you how bloomberg, goldman sach, etc kept on warning the govt. and yet the failed to listen. Nigeria economy was ran in a very archaic manner in the last one year, and ofcourse you know it is easier to destroy than to build.

Your first request, why did he engage in cancelation of pipeline protection contracts, bombing of calabar and Akwaybom just to instill new sheriff fear in Southerners, he made it known amnesty will be scrapped, then told them not to expect same treatment with people that gave him 97 percent of their votes.

Your second request, if Buhari didn't come with the hardship, pls tell me who did ?

Why is it that his first emergence as head of state was same situation, with now ? He is always on the excuse of righting the wrong of past administration. Why is it only on his administration that a previous governmrnt will be levelled by corruption ?

He brought hardship with him in 1984, same thing he came with in 2015: why always him ?

I believe Buhari is a curse on Nigeria. Probably, we receive punishment from God through Buhari. Maybe if we repent and seek God, he will repeat what happened in 1985 for us, this time might be taking him out from Earth.

In otherwords this rating is a true reflection of how Nigerians feel and also the economic situation of this country. If Govt cant pay those that are already working, How will they pay the unemployed ?

Lets pray for Nigeria.

The bolded says it all... it's like this are about to go further south. And no plans on sight to cushion it.

Where did we get it all wrong. It can't be all price; oil price now is around 50dollar.
If we produce 2million per day * 50 that's equal to 100million dollars daily. There should be mor than enuf money. Apart from tax.

Abeg make GeJ come back. Make we know say we can still manage ourselves.

The Nigerian economy is very strong fundamentally, and even though the country will NEVER be great, it can never be too poor or so impoverished that it cannot afford to pay salaries, that is a BIG lie. Nigeria is a poor country, yes, but it is not impoverished, so the country can continue on forever and ever, just throttling along just subsisting and existing, never making any significant progress

The powers that be have decreed Nigeria's failure, so it is being systematically de-commisioned. We are at the end of time for this particular epoch, illumination is coming.

The world is about to witness a very hard reset from THE MOST HIGH GOD.

We know Nigeria only voted out one group of liars and elected an even deadlier group.

All the socalled billions of $$ recovered, where are they ?

The unified funds from TSA, where are they ?

All the stamp duty you and i lose from our bank accounts where are they ?

Savings from bvn and ghost workerelimination where are they ?

Properties seized by efcc where are they?

Nigerians need to resist these evil liars.

Chaiiiii..... Niger bridge is falling down..... We have not received salary in oyo state for six months now.. Something is definitely wrong with the federation, for how long will we continue to patch? Time to declare an emergency is now delay might be too late cos we are on a free fall.... #restructure now
Nigerians should be very scared by now. The present & future looks very bleak. If they fail to restructure now, which is certainly the last of hope of averting a looming disaster of unprecedented proportions, then I see Nigerians dying of hunger and relying on UN food aid! WHAT A SHAME!!!

Ask not what you can do for your country. But do ask what your country can do to you.

Do ask what being in the same ship with zombies, malamms, Afonjas and all the other knuckle dragging mor0ns can do to your life.

I stand with restructuring.

Thank You for asking those classic questions that have been bothering me too. APC & Buhari are the worst thing to happen to Nigeria in recent times. The country is fast going down to abyss, the government is absolutely clueless on how to rescue it. Honestly, I'm seriously afraid for what is about to befall Nigerians, I forsee one of the worst forms of starvation & crises that might shake the world. The only solution left now is True Fiscal Federalism or we are doomed!!!

@ u and Stevecantrell: I totally share you guys opininon.....For years, the Nigerian Govt makes it appear like the only source of income is Oil whereas hundreds of billions in naira are made from tax returns, yet no accountability.

You mentioned that true fiscal federalism is the solution, I do not agree with you on that. I quite agree that true fiscal federalism is the long-term solution to the growth of Nigeria but it is never a solution at this time of serious revenue drain....even in this present state of things, many states cant pay their workers due to drop in revenue allocation. Trust me, some states will totally go bankrupt if you introduce fiscal federalism at this point........

There are several opportunities in this present time of economic woes only if we have brilliant minds to chart the course of this country, which unfortunately we don't. This is the time to lay the foundation for possible future fiscal federalism by forcing all states to look inward for self sustenance.
