Good woman... It's not easy to give up power to your deputy... If it were any different you wud hear of factional speakers... Nigeria should lean towards such.. Congrats to her.... A very commendable act 40 Likes 2 Shares |

This will help silence Tom Ikhimi and PDP who have been shouting marginalization of esan land. Now the new speaker is from Igueben. that is the same village with Tom Ikhimi. Speaker of the house is better than Deputy Governor PDP is offering esan land. Deputy Governor position is functionless position. This woman have made national history. History will always remember her. For the about 8years of Oshiomole Government, Esan has always held the speaker position. The Esan speaker was only removed two months ago and replaced by the Benin woman due to the former speaker over involvement in the APC governorship primary. There was never marginilisation of esan land in the first place. 25 Likes 3 Shares |

Really seems the fellas were not comfortable being headed by a female. That power rotation crap is bullcheat! Would a man ever have agreed to such? She was bullied and railroaded out of that position. Shame to those men. 6 Likes |

Ogedengbe explained that the change was necessary to ensure fairness in the political system, so that the three senatorial districts would be represented. APC marginalised Esanland because they voted PDP, this is too little too late. When PDP raised the issue of fair representation amongst the 3 senatorial districts APC refused. APC claimed the speaker was married to an Esan man, meaning she is Esan by virtue of her marrying an Esan man. Why did they suddenly change? It has nothing to do with September 10th right? 14 Likes 2 Shares |

Politics is really a game if well played is enjoyable. Esan has be handed the position of speakership again. Osho is playing politics to satisfy the Esan land. This is just politics nothing more. Well, congrats to him, the new speaker is from Igueben LGA of Edo central where Tom Ikimi comes from 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Nice. That was a very rare occurrence within Nigeria's political landscape. It can be compared to a solar eclipse. Kudos to her for not having the potentials of an Etteh. 2 Likes |

This is a welcome development. Our leaders should always see power as a grains of sand, the more you grab it, the more it leaves your hand. I commend Ativie for stepping down in the spirit of sportsmanship & without selfish interest. 3 Likes |

This attitude of every zone must be represented is not good for our country at all. From Federal to State to LG, I wont be surprised that this sharing of positions goes on in families. How has the zoning of a position to a person benefited the people from that zone? Well I see this as a calculation from APC in view of the coming elections, so everyone is represented. 2 Likes |
