Government is about continuity. I challenge you to name 10 things which GEJ commissioned during his reign, and I will point out 9 out of the 10 which were started by OBJ or Yaradua. Some people need to just learn to do away with this childish impulsive behaviour of screaming "it is GEJ's project" at the slightest opportunity as if GEJ built it with his personal salary.

Meanwhile just FYI, OBJ initiated this project by signing the contract for it and arranging the loan deal with the Chinese. GEJ eventually released the FG's part of the funds for the project to commence. Total project was valued at about $874m, the Chinese brought $500m, while the FG paid the remaining $374m (roughly N60bn).

May I remind you that out of that ~N60bn which was the FG's share, the old president (who you claim did nothing) had to also pay off a balance of about N18bn in the 2016 budget before the project could be finalised and commissioned today. May I also remind you that that the old president who you claim is doing absolutely nothing is the one who gets to service the Chinese loan which represents almost 60% of the entire project cost. Finally may i also remind you that the old president who you claim is doing nothing has just budgeted over N100bn for the Lagos-Kano and Lagos-Calabar rails in 2016 alone, this amount alone already trumps what GEJ paid for these rails.

****Where do you live? I ply the Area 1 to Berger axis every blessed day and we all know when a diversion was created around Wuye junction while the construction was ongoing by the GEJ administration. Work was stopped when he left office and only when the Chinese agreed to give Bubu more money was the project finished. It is impossible to construct such a project in 14 months (if we are to believe it was started in May 2015 and completed in July 2016).

We thank God for those who started it and those who completed it!

Obj came in 1999 and cancel the Kano - Lagos & PH - Borno railway rehabiliation contracts awarded by Abacha and reawarded the Lagos-Kano contract at higher figures at the twilight of his administration in 2007 (while ignoring PH - Borno railway) and nothing was done on it just like the many times this same OBJ awarded and reawarded 2nd Niger Bridge.

Meanwhile, kudos to GMB for completing this project - this is what governance is all about.
