What a ridiculous amount...?! And millions of Nigerians are finding it hard to meet up their daily needs.

Am still finding the differences between the MILAD and the present DEMOCRACY.

did not remit a total of $12.9bn to the federation account during the period.

In its reaction, the NNPC said a part of the dividends was reinvested on behalf of the federal government and the rest is now in the treasury single account (TSA).

You see how these people finished Nigeria?

Money was re-invested on what exactly?

Some accumulate, steal small, the other ones continue and hardheartedly squandered the remainings,

Where are the investments despite the huge funds involved and on what grounds was it done really?,

Minister took a request for grant from our so called president, replied by bla bla bla Bullsh1t .. (these wailers see this and still call Buhari a gworo chewing stick dullard)
Meanwhile, he had a PHD ooh

Some can read but can't comprehend.

This should be thoroughly investigated. If Nigeria does not kill corruption, corruption might kill Nigeria. This is alarming, really very alarming. This amounts to 2.4 TRILLION by todays rate. How can someone walk away with that?

Any such news coming out of Nigeria no longer alarms me.
Same people responsible will still be elected or appointed to head government affairs, even if indicted or convicted.

I find it incomprehensible.
we know all these, and it is very painful.
We can't/don't fight dem or protest against dem because we are divided along ethnic, tribal and religious lines. Also, many of us are corrupt and self-centered.

We can see clearly how much it costs to make Gas flow in the Niger delta, tomorrow dumb people will think it is theirs for the taking by bombing everywhere. At the time in question, the Federal Government paid $7b to own 49% stake in the brass NLNG project, why cant Bayelsa state with over 25b Federal allocation at the time pay it up with an Annual savings and Own it? Why must Bayelsa wait for the Federal Government to make the investment, Pay them 13% after which Bayelsa miscreants will bomb it away, I need answers!!

I have always thought about this too...but the question is would the FG allow such...

Would the FG allow oil producing states take up such projects without wanting to get 50 percent as usual..If that is possible then I think regionalism is espoused...

The federal Government will get their usual 60% in a negotiated joint venture, is it not the true federalism you guys are harping on?
The good thing about Nigeria's FG joint venture agreement is that if you give FG 60% of the proceeds, FG will give you 60% of your investment cost, where they are unable to pay you with cash, they pay in kind by allowing you to take their cut till you recover your investment, the news we just read said Alison madueke asked for authority to pay the 49% investment fund in the Brass LNG that is a proof.

How much is Texas oil producing companies paying to the government can you guess?
Our idea of true federalism is taking over FG investment without paying a kobo, isn't that stealing?
That is the reason N.sudan is bombing S. sudan till tomorrow, you can not take over someone's investment without paying for it. Hugo Chavez tried it in Venezuela and his economy paid dearly for it, S.Sudan tried it and they have officially been declared refugees.
If you declare the republic of Niger delta, the FG will ask you to pay for their oil assets if you wish to take it, just like NPDC paid shell to take over their divested equity in the Niger delta, shell sold a part of their asset as high as $600m, yet they are crying the asset was undervalued by the Nigerian government, extrapolate what 100% ownership will cost.

Every month, FG & states share money, FG will invest theirs to ensure economic sustainability, states will squander theirs, in a short while disgruntled !diots will start bombing FG investments as if it fell from heaven.
Dangote an individual is building the biggest refinery in Africa with 2 lucrative oil blocks as feedstock, is it beyond Ekiti, Osun and Ogun states? Is the Fg bothering him? Amaechi sold a power plant that belongs to rivers state the other day, meanwhile he could not complete a mono rail project, his predecessor Peter Odili built a power plant in Transamadi, to the states it's all about sell and squander.

Emeka Anyaoku is building a refinery in Anambra state with 3 oil blocks to feedstock it, is the FG bothering him? make the investment, pay royalty to the FG that is resource control, Niger delta's idea of resource control is, seize FG investments then pay royalty to FG, isn't that madness? Every Niger deltan has every right to acquire oil acreages and develop it, Lulu brings a Niger delta son has producing oil acreages in the delta, is the FG bothering him? he is producing and paying his royalties, same with FHM.
Only an !diot will call FG's investment resource control, thieves, tomorrow you ask Obijackson to dash you Gobowen because you want resource control, where were you when he paid $400m to acquire an oil block in part, thieves!!

when you talk about money from the FG it makes me wonder where these monies come from..is it not from the same niger delta which has been marginalized from time immemorial...let the FG come for a talk..if they insist that the niger delta pay for the oil assets i wonder what we would be asking from the FG fpor the spillages their negligence has caused over a long period of time in the niger delta...or if they want we can allow them take monies accrued from oil proceeds for a period of time until payments are complete and then we have total control of the resources in the niger delta...

the truth is regionalism would be a whole lot different from what just individuals are doing...regionalism would ensure states run their affairs to the benefit of the indigenes...private companies wont do that precisely...

besides individuals can invest in the niger delta to produce oil whilst the resource predominantly controlled by the states..individuals would even buy the assets of the Federal government..all we want is that monies from oil does not feed lazy people elsewhere who at the end of the day come back to abuse the niger delta...let each state manage what they have...e no hard the way you dey make am seem...

people would buy FG assets..the FG can go to hell

You seem to be missing the point, Niger delta has oil, it takes investments to extract oil that is what the Niger delta people don't have and the FG has it. Before the FG will compensate you for spillages, you will first of all determine the amount of environmental degradation caused by Sabotage (bombing, Bunkery and Kpo fire) right?
Does it surprise you that UNEP a united nations agency (neutral) came to the Niger delta and authorized only Ogoni clean up, why not Bile and the rest of the Niger delta? so the United nations is equally stup!d? Ogoni is the only part of the Niger delta that deserves a legitimate clean up ( I guess you are conversant with the Ogoni story) the rest are liabilities of the Niger delta for the rest of their generations, you don't blow up a trunk line carrying 250k bbls of crude and expect no consequence. The UNEP report of 2010 proved that the world no longer take agitation that threatens the environment seriously.

the truth is regionalism would be a whole lot different from what just individuals are doing...regionalism would ensure states run their affairs to the benefit of the indigenes...private companies wont do that precisely...

You are wrong, that is the Niger delta politician's mentality, two things give you petrodollars, having an oil acreage and secondly making the required investments. The land use act of Nigeria bestowed land in the hands of the FG which is not a bad idea anyways, the only bad thing in the Delta is that the Niger delta people (Individuals, companies and government) refuse to make oil and gas investments yet expect to reap the proceeds there in, that is a crime against the sensibility of the rest of the people who pay tax to the FG, I speak to you that there is no part of the world it happens.
Regionalism is not necessary in Nigeria we have out grown that level, the only people still crazy about it are greedy thieves who want to reap from where they did not sow, let me paint an analogy of what a Niger deltan calls regionalism.
He grabs a republic/region, the republic will define its borders then take everything therein, that is stealing, Venezuela nationalized foreign oil companies and today they are begging for food. Zimbabwe took lands and investments of foreign companies their economy disappeared, remember that Ven and Zim did it to companies and their destiny was changed forever, imagine what will happen to you if you do it to a country? by United nations standard, the international arbitration court will step in and as soon as the verdict is against you it becomes an act of WAR!!
What happened to Nigeria when Cameroon won us at the Hague? Ignorance is not a virtue, most of you need an in depth knowledge of how the real world works before you bite more than you can chew. South sudan's export pipeline passed through N.sudan, when they split, N.sudan asked the South to pay for it or give them 70% of their export, the South refused, North stationed their military and cut off South sudan's oil export, today South Sudan is officially declared a refugee state, that is how the real world works my friend.

besides individuals can invest in the niger delta to produce oil whilst the resource predominantly controlled by the states..individuals would even buy the assets of the Federal government..all we want is that monies from oil does not feed lazy people elsewhere who at the end of the day come back to abuse the niger delta...let each state manage what they have...e no hard the way you dey make am seem...

If individuals can buy acreages why not the State governments? If Delta state Government owned the Forcados export Pipeline will it be bombed? if a Bayelsan consortium owned the Brass export line, will it be bombed? you can see that the problem here is that some Lazy people (like you called them) wake up in the morning and ask the FG to bequeath her investments to them, can't you see this is why successive governments hardly listen to them. Will Shoprite/MTN dash you his buildings simply because they are operating in your country? the two companies can cause a diplomatic row with Nigeria that can degenerate to arm struggle, you guys have no clue how it works elsewhere.

people would buy FG assets..the FG can go to hell

Nine oil blocks was divested in the last 5yrs how many did "Niger delta People" buy? The FG has nothing to lose if you buy it because his royalty is fixed.
In the Divested oil blocks, igbos bought the most, is it not what these miscreants are bombing today?
