I currently can afford to spend 50k on a phone and I'm considering either to go for a brand new Samsung J5 or UK used Iphone 5s. I'm pretty sure both categories are between the range of 45-50k, so I would like the phone experts in the house to advice me on which one to go for with convincing reasons.

Depends on which OS you really want to use, but I doubt you'll get iPhone 5s at 50k even if it's the 16GB version. The brand new galaxy j5 is tempting though.

I meant a UK iphone5s used I'm sure it goes for that price. a friend got one recently. I'm well used to both OS.

Even in PH I'm sure you can get the UK used cheap as well. Probably 55-60k

60K and that's for the 16gb....I can't buy iPhone lower than 32gb...that'll go for like 75k here.
