Why complicating issue... Why not involve a trusted roofer, builder or engineer to do your work?

In fact I thought I had located a trusted roofer. Came highly recommended by the guy I trusted and helped financially once in a while. I even turned down roofers introduced by my family for this so called "trusted roofer".

Little did I know that they are a tag team only looking out for their own personal gain. I have learnt my lesson.

Ultimately, I just want a sound job done. Stealing money/materials and then topping it with bad workmanship is the pits.

Sometimes you just have to leave people to their destiny.

You'll finish your house one day and they can't rob you anymore.

That is it o. Let me borrow this your sentence abeg.

Was a good job delivered eventually? You really need to ascertain that.

Sir, it's certainly not me but it's a sour looser from this very thread that is pissed off and trying to tarnish my image in any way that he can though he'll never be successful.

Thank you for being ever diligent.

To other stakeholders of the thread, there you go.

My Wife always cautions me never to curse anyone and just "fi oro won le olorun lowo".

She says what if you ask God to punish them Alpha times but God already had it in mind to punish them Alpha X 3 times? If God listens to me then I've fallen my hand grin

All will be well. Sometimes, you won't really care much about the rip off but the recurring expenses spent on repairs.

Please, what is the price of a drum of the TV cable with copper conductor coil.
depends on the quantity or size.
there are variants of about 80m sold for N4200, give or take
then there are larger rims of about 300m that retail for about 12k , this is particularly useful for those who have long runs,
otherwise the smaller variant works just fine for domestic projects.

wink

You just know say I like movies. The bricks can be cut with hole saw and filing machine (the same type used for cutting concretes, slabs and tiles).

However isn't it better to see it life in action as shown in msogunro's video than just trying to figure it out.

Watch out for that part in Episode 80 grin
Lol, I'm sure everybody who read the above got the idea, not much figuring out to do.

I get your anticipation thingie tho smiley and I'm sincerely looking forward to seeing the conduiting

and those wall chasers are quite a great option. a concrete cutting machine will require two parallel runs to create the void , but the chaser does this in just one pass/run

I think it is... he quoted 2k for each... I need to know how many meters he need, because 1 spool is 100m with Coleman.
Thank you for that...

Hajji M.
ok, sir
just make sure not to buy those small 1.5k or 2k coils, na odinary iron dey inside. the conductor breaks easily and when than happens you'll be struggling with poor signal quality

You might want to find out what brand and length you were sold first. coaxial cables are manufactured by many companies to different specifications.
the cores are in different diameters, some can have core conductors with cross-sectional areas (standard cable sizing) as large as 1.5mm2, though most typically range between 0.75mm2-1.0mm2
the insulator and flex mesh inside also differ in size and material. For instance coleman is about 14k, but is just 100m. A 300m variant of that same standard will cost over 35k

Oh ! Unless dat. I will try to check when chanced. If I find out I was ripped off that bad. I will simply buy the next cable and tell him to fix it but to pay for workmanship on completion. And once job is tested and done. It is to tell him to use my remaining cable money to balance up ( Bihari PDF style )

@ hajj

Some national stations are on DSTV but I can't say about other cable networks.

Not properly done? But how?
Raft foundation is most simple form of foundation as far as I am concerned. grin

There was a place I was reading about building construction in a swampy area, very big logs of wood were played down on the ground before the foundation was set up. From the article, that seemed to be aan affordable, reasonable an archaic method of building in a swampy area back then. So what is that kind of foundation called, the type that sits on huge logs of wood in a swamp..? Thanks as I anticipate your answer.

Being meaning to find out sir,

Is there some form of business partnerships on Nairaland property section that new businesses can key into? Say for example, a group of people offering different services, links each other up for the purpose of providing better and more effective services to clients, while all the benefactors of the entire project will be mainly nairalanders.

I wish to be part of something like that and from there, build my online presence. Is it obtainable?

Thank you as I anticipate your response.

I think its to make the house rigid, yet able to float with rising water level. The weight of the house keeps it rooted on the ground in the absence of water or the foundation is secured to something like tension leg semi subs

Mine was highly recommended by a favourite pro carpenter, a builder, and a trusted friend... In the end Abdulwastex turned down the offer and prophesied that the build will collapse. grin

Even our ancestors had technology to preserve wood so I expect wood preservation to be factored in.
