Babies can do without them but i got one for mine. Its very soft and flat. I use it when he doesnt burp, so his head can be elevated a little.

As for the cot, i didnt even bother getting one and thank God i didn't. Hansel is very restless in bed so most times i have to tap him back to sleep. A baby bed with net is very convenient for me. I just place it on my bed right beside me.
When i have visitors or i'm busy in the kitchen, i just take the bed to the sitting room so i can keep an eye on him.
You can get a cot if you wish, but remember not all kids will let you leave them in a cot.

You can get the feeders even if you havent bought the pump. I got my pump some weeks back, but bought the feeders months ago. I got tomme tippee, my baby rejected it. I got those small 300 naira ones and he accepted it.
You can also try Avent feeders.

I carefully selected the nice brand new clothes in my hospital bag for my baby. When dh found out we have to do a CS, hence stay longer at the hospital, he went back to go and pack all the okrika clothes i bought as house wear for him. And added it to the new clothes i carried to the hospital. So the nurses were just going thru my things and laughing as they saw okrika clothes
He even thought the clothes wont be enough and went to buy more. Mr man bought a set of pink oversized sleepsuits and a pink blanket.

And that is how my Hansel was decked in 9months old sleepsuit, pink socks, and pink blanket immediately after birth. I was just too tired to vex. I was just shaking my head. Lol

Hmmmm, when my daughter refused bottle then, I had a feeling it was because tommee tippee teats are kinda hard o (forget all that closer to nature they write on their boxes). I should have gone to buy those cheap bottles with soft teats like my mind told me to. Will definitely get some when I go next week, this one too must not reject bottle.

Where can I get prune juice? My 7months ol d baby is constipated cos her poo is very hard most times in pellets form, she poos like once in 3days or none self. I am feeding her with cerelac, nutribom, pap, potatoes, semo with ewedu, beans. I do give her orange juice almost everyday, also water melon too. I use my boy eldorin as her formula but intend to change to Nan 2 may be it will stop her constipation. I give her water from time to time

I read on Google that prune juice helps to relieve constipation, please

So to save money, you can buy more of 3-6months size.

I read somewhere, you could just cut that lower part neatly (and stitch or not). He could still wear them at night with socks or booties.

Yes, you will need polos and shorts. I used them when the house is a bit hot and when his cord clamp had not fallen off.
The comfit pad i was told to get was for my own use. That's what i used till i left the hospital. No need getting extra except Lochia decides to linger a little longer than expected, then you can buu additional ones.

1) Baby pillow, what is it used for? Not necessary
2) pls just go ahead and buy standard bed that baby can use till toddler then buy net. If you baby is very active and can do gymnastics, by 2-3months, he/she will be rolling over the bed with net(talking from experience)
3)if you have money for feeder, buy and keep as e no dey expire lol. What if you ain't lactating immediately after birth and may need to bottle feed for some time. If you will be working and will leave your baby with someone, then you need the pump.


Question to the house: do people dash out breastpump?

For the pillow, it depends on d baby o. My son didn't like it so it is now a toy.

For cot/baby net, wen he ws younger (0-3months), I had a bassinet for him dat I keep nxt to my bed. I'm not a net fan, also my baby. Once u cover d net, he wakes up. So I didn't use net at all. We kept the room cold so no way for mosquitoes.

For feeding, I used tommee tippe and had no complains. Some pple said evenflo and Nuby had more friendly teats for baby. Avent and boots are also good. Even tho u don't av a pump now, u can still buy dem down so u av less to spend on in the future
