Before I experienced it myself I heard how young males (17-30) are always harassed by the Nigerian police if they happen to see an IPhone with them there is no story you can say you must be a yahoo boy (internet fraudster)



I experienced it myself few days ago I was coming from Ibadan and my destination was Lagos I alighted at Berger in Lagos and I was approached by some men who later identified themselves as police men .



They immediately requested to see my phone(s) what made the matter interesting was that I used an iPhone 5s and a tecno boom J8 immediately I brought it out they held me by my belt and just told me I was a fraudster and would go to jail



Judgment without trial I just started shining my teeth knowing well that they must be joking the last 500 naira on me which I planned to use as transport to yaba



I was detained in their van few moments later another young man like myself joined me and the police men came ransacked our phones saw nothing incriminating in it except my Badoo app na so them change am for me o (kukuma kill) me



I saw all they wanted was to extort me and I was not ready to part away with my last 500 naira before they knew it I started shouting OLE! OLE!! OLE!!! (thief ! thief !! thief!!!) EGBAMI O (help me !!!)

Before they knew it guys don dey observe us don dey prepare to attack o na so one police man slap me believe me I saw stars but the tempo of my voice increased they were forced to push me out of their vehicle and sped off I really don’t know what happened to the other guy though but I just thanked my stars (part of the stars I saw when I was given a dirty slap)



I have always been scared of our shabby looking policemen I don’t know how the government expect us to trust our police men if all they do is frustrate law abiding citizens
