They scheduled 14 for killing but ended up killing 4 including 3 Nigerians . Does that show you how much Indonesian government hates Nigerians? Do you blame them? Our president went outside and tagged us criminals. How then should outsiders see us? In all this why is no official statement coming from Nigerian government? Is it not an admission that its citizens are guilty as charged?

So you sniffed his guilt from your keyboard.

This is a death sentence and he was not proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

Instincts or antecedents are not equivalent to guilt.

I am talking about fair trial to a man who was not found to be in possession of drugs but was still executed based on evidence obtained under duress.

So your **** buddy is so dumb that he lives with drug dealers and knows nothing about it? Even though we all know that's what **** do in Indonesia?

Did you read that the man who framed him up later confessed on his deathbed that Jefferson was innocent, that he framed him up thinking it would make him go free, did you ever read or hear that My brother, be careful in life; don't judge anybody so you won't be judged....only God knows the truth, so refrain from passing judgment on people if you want to live a very peaceful life till you return back to your maker.

For those making mockery of Jefferson's death....remember, other Igbo guys were killed with him but nobody is talking about them probably because they were guilty as charged.....but everyone keep saying Jefferson was innocent of the crime, so be careful with your rejoicing....so affliction like this doesn't befall you tomorrow, that's my little advice to you all

Reading this news keeps bringing tears to my eyes. Someone's Father and husband has been murdered without given a fair hearing. I don't think anyone should take a life he didn't create, but God knows all. TheGood Joe, keep it up but I just hope you would do this for other tribes and not condemn like some chaps here do. These are our brothers and sisters from another mother but some folks don't see it that way. Keep up the good job but remember not to be sentimental.

Let me add this, to y'all nairalanders, let him who is without sin be the first to cast the stone. Seun and his crew need to do something to curb this tribal war going on here, I could remember as far back as 2011-2013 when crimes like this were reported, everyone ( I mean the old members) commented as a Nigerian not as a Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa man. That was the old nairaland I took interest in. What is wrong with nairaland now? Do I say it's filled up with kids or adults who have refused to grow up. Gosh the hatred here is terrible, it's choking and it's blinding us from seeking from the truth. I am Nigerian.

If you follow the story well, to my understanding, the guy(victim) ran a restaurant in Indonesia. He employed some Nigerians and gave them accommodation, in the same house he ran his business they leave there. Now some drug dealers were traced to one of the employed guys (who is still at large) . this later made the authorities to comb the house, and found some drugs in the apartment.
Now the owner of the restaurant, was arrested, and accused of running drug cartel with his business.
He denied owning the drug or involved in it. Eventually, it was not accepted. This led to what we have now.
Be the judge your self.
He may be innocent ,because he looks like one. And since the drug was notbdirectly liknked to him, life years imprisonment would hv been better but, I still don't want to believe you can't monitor activities of someone you gave accommodation and employment to especially in a terrain and hostile environment like Indonesia.
All is late now. Which ever way, lesson to those who always trust any kind of person. Thread carefully. Rip to him.
One thing I've learned the hard way multiple times here and once abroad is to never trust, engage with or aid fellow Nigerians; 96% of them're only looking for someone to take advantage of and put in serious trouble. By the time their plan backfires on you they've long disappeared with no way to trace them.

indonesians are not stupid people. they were their and were following and tracing these drug dealers for years. they know why they killed him. just because you are getting sentimental and emotional and euphoric about the case dont change the facts. you are thousands of miles away from where the crime happened. those on the ground with them who saw the whole thing killed the man. are you saying from behind your computer in nigeria you know more than the 50 plus indonesian detectives who handled this case ? oh really ? really ?

Ms Prettiepearlz, you sound like a nice, non prejudiced person. "Black lives matter" well tell that to those Asians. They are one of the most racist people on the planet. I had no time to respond to your response to my post on the other thread where one "tobmillar" was gloating about Titus Igwe's killing and the fact that he is Igbo. Let me make it clear to you that I neither condone nor support drug biz. I was just pissed off about the tribal tone of that guy's post. These Igbos were killed for what I consider petty crimes in a civilized country that respects human right and the rule of law. I am more angry at these my brothers for choosing to do their trades in such a country knowing fully well what the consequence would be if caught. They are adults and are fully aware of what they were doing. That's why any phony sympathy like 'tobmiller's' is annoying.
I am convinced that Jefferson is innocent. But, he still got killed. We all should condemn that and not jubilate because he happens to be an Igbo man. Drug biz, though illegal, is a mature business for very mature and brave men. They buy and sell their goods like any other business man. However, it's not worth your life. That's why I was angry at Titus Igwe et al.
The execution is totally wrong on all levels.
I don't agree at the bold words, there are other business for brave and mature men ,so drug business shouldn't be one of it. These drugs leads to death of lots of people. Drug trafficking is bad in all ramifications, it isn't a business a sane individual should venture into and like you said in Indonesia where it has been written clearly on the wall that death penalty is the punishment for it. I think the problem is from our own country here where those who deal with drugs are allowed to go Scot free if they have high connections, I know someone in my estate here who carried drugs but was caught here in Nigeria and her case made national dailies, I tell you solemnly that she is walking as a free man and going for owambes all over Nigeria. If Nigeria had a very grave punishment apart from death for this criminals, the fear will be there for them and to anyone who wouldn't mind to give me answers because I haven't travelled out of this country, don't they check them at the airport again? Because the person I know was caught at the airport back then. Cos if they do and are very committed to it, these people would have been busted here in our country before getting out and making a national disgrace.

Really?...do you know the death penalty still exist and is carried out in America?
.. do you know Texas.. the state with maybe the largest concentration of Nigerians is the #1 execution state?.... do you know death by firing squad in Indonesia is not as bad as the inhumane and torturous methods used in the US?... do you know how many totally innocent Blacks in particular have been put to death?... persons who had absolutely nothing to do with or in any possible way connected to the crimes? .... do you know how many more are waiting on Death Row ?.... and how many have been set free as a result of investigations carried out by The Innocence Project? Hurry and get to America. ... should you be picked as the perpetrator of a death penalty crime...I hope you would reflect on this your comment.

This is exactly the problem.

With this type of mindset from a Nigerian, it is easy to see why the Indonesian authorities can never think of him as innocent even if he is.

There is nothing as unjust as the death of an innocent man.

And there is no wickedness greater than making fun of it.

He is not innocent.

One of the ten to be executed, a woman, claimed she was duped into becoming a drug mule. At least yet, she is alive.

So why wasn't his evidence brought to light at the heat of his trial? Why wait till now after his execution to claimed he was framed?

That lawyer is insane.

Jefferson had an appeal case coming up before his Execution. The Indonesian system makes defence difficult.
