Pls my fellow nlander, I need your sincere contribution on this issue am putting forward.

Family deity which we all know as mythology religion A preternatural orsupernatural human or non-human being or entity, or an object that possesses miraculous or supernatural attributes, powers or superpowers (e.g. a god or goddess).mythology religion The divine character of adivinity.mythology religion A being, entity or object revered as a god or goddess.

My question now, is that can someone or a family member go through hell, misfortune for not worshiping the deity for a very long time and after different consultation from the elderly once I mean those that knows much about family tradition, said the deity is the cause of your problem, pls how is that possible?

Yes, it's possible. But that does not mean you should go and worship it. This particular topic is what a Pastor and I discussed extensively today, and I began to dig more, that's how I stumbled upon this thread.

According to the Pastor, some of our fathers have served these deities and ignorantly committed their souls and descendants to them. Serving these deities require some form of periodical rituals which our fathers diligently did. There diligence in performing the rituals prevented the deities from fighting.

However, as the modern day children who are Christians and Muslims refuse to bow and perform rituals to these deities, they begin to fight the children and wreak havocs in their lives. The deities are fighting back because the covenant with the children's fathers are being violated.

Now the solution is either to go and serve the deities and offer the propitiating rituals or you genuinely give your life to Christ and do a special deliverance that will disconnect you from the deities and the covenants our fathers entered into. The Pastor said that the children make mistakes by not serving the deities while not also genuinely commiting to Jesus.

Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo also said something similar at Shiloh 2007, that after becoming a Christian, he noticed that nobody in his family was making any progress, so he located the family shrine, destroyed it and even sprinkled the blood of Jesus to disconnect his family from the deity. After this ordnance, he built a house whithin a month. The deity only has power over you as long as the link is not broken. But so long as it if broken, the deity becomes powerless over you.

So, the solution is to disconnect yourself from any covenant your fathers may have entered into by getting into a new covenant with Jesus.
