Those avengers guys might be dumb and all that, but when they made that silly childish statement, they were very careful by not giving the specific year of their utopia republic. They just said 1st/August, they didn't specify the year that their new nation will be created. And August 1st can be in any year, 2016, 2017, 2050 etc. So the avengers guys were smart with this one.

Let me add this: The Ijaws are setting themselves up against other Nigerians. They only have the Igbos now as their allies; but who knows whether that friendship will stand the test of time.

I went to your house to ask for your daughters hand in marriage and you said you'll give me your daughter on the 1st of August, thinking that August 1st will not come. My dear in law to be - August 1st is just some few hours oo!

Honestly, I've got to say the Biafrans got more liver and intelligence compared to the militants. Come what may, an Igbo man wouldn't approach an issue like these fake freedom fighters are doing.

Lmao, it could be August 1, 2099. I am sure they will simply change their name and issue a different ultimatum, that is their modus operandi.

Sleeky, once more, this is naija area. We survived the US disintegration reports and BH. We've gotten our territories back, and are marching again. Is it some economic militants that would give us sleepiness nights? Biafra and BH were worse than these.

They deserve our respects for atleast blowing away half of our crude oil output thereby costing us huge petrol dollar loss. Now,to make the bold step at declaring their own republic with an exact date and threatening other nationalities within their boundaries speaks volumes. It is either they've acquired nuclear warheads or August 2nd marks the beginning of the end for them.

They have my respects till August 2nd.We shall reply them accordingly if they chicken out.

You don't get freedom by shooting yourself in the foot. It's easy to destroy and even a fool can do that. Which purpose would I be serving by cutting off or blowing up the water pipes that comes to my town? Am I not a first grade fool for doing that?
Tell me something sleeky! I just read somewhere that Nigeria's economy is basically agrarian - with nearly 70% of the labor force still engaged there. Let their foolishness continue - we're still eating.

So what, with a shity count down? Should we go bake cakes to celebrate or what? They should first go to the spatans and learn of their ways. The presently shattered Southan Sudan is a good example of what happen after a break. When you sighted a group of boys in the play ground dancing the war dance meant for men, it is possible they have never being sting by real war experience before.
First they spill the land in the Niger delta with crude oil causing environmental catastrophe bombing pipelines in the name of a Freedom fight. Good luck as you now spill the blood of your fellow country men and women..
