Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode is leading other Governors in the poll organised by the African Leadership Magazine to determine Nigeria’s top performing Governor.

The poll, tagged ‘Good Governance Polls for Nigeria’s Top Performing Governor’ started two weeks ago with Ambode maintaining the lead with increased 36.1 percent of the total vote casts.

Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano is closely trailing Ambode with 25 percent.

The Poll, according to its organisers, was designed by the group as part of its strategic engagement tool to monitor performance and gauge the mood of the electorates in Nigeria in line with its objective of providing credible information and support to leaders in Nigeria and Africa at large.

An overwhelming 35 percent popularity rating for Governor Ambode, among other governors, clearly shows his popularity as he continues to deliver good governance, promoting infrastructural development and people-centred policies that better the lives of the people of Lagos.

Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun is in the third place with 8.8 percent, while Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike is in the fourth position with 7.9 percent of the total vote casts.

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai sits in the fifth position with 5 percent, while as at press time, voting is still ongoing and is expected to close in the next four days.

I strongly disagree.

Being the governor of lagos doesn't necessarily mean you would do well

Amobode's works are very obvious. Even if the polls are conducted in a different region, he would still win.

I rest my case

How many people are in Lagos to see whatever is it Ambode is doing? Around 15million

How many people are in Anambra to see what Obiano is doing? Around 7million

based on this Ambode has a better chances of winning any poll even if he is a lame duck governor. Therefore Obiano is actually leading in the poll.

Seriously if Obiano handles the Amount ambode throws around, Anambra would have been selling power supply to other states by now.

how do u compare two states that are loop sided in infrastructure and other things like population and status?? there is no state in Nigeria that can be compared to lagos because it used to be a former federal capital territory and has many means and sources of revenue. even a serious camel or goat can govern lagos and still be termed as the best performing even when they dont really do much........like when people said that barcelona can win marches without having a coach.......

Fake poll!!! Who organised it? Whom were the respondents? How many people knew about it?

Ambode is no way better than Nyesom Wike or Willie Obiano!! Enough of these propaganda!! The same way you peeps promoted Fashola until he went to mess himslef up at the federal level

But if the poll had revealed that Obiano is leading, it will original or if there was a poll condemning Buhari as the worst President in Nigeria, you'd believe even without source. Hatred does not lead anywhere.

You comparing Ambode with Obiano is like comparing Pep Guardiola and Claudio Ranieri; though both are winners in their respective leagues but the difference is clear?

Even your brothers know Ambode or any Lagos governor is far better than Obiano.

African Leadership Magazine is an ipob blogsite, back in February, the same clowns gave the person of the year award to crooked, corrupt and incompetent jona Nigerians just booted out of office....

Den for give number one to obiango with zero achievement over Lagos, but they know there's no getting around Lagos.

Placing obiango in the second slot means they didn't use any sane and rationale metrics, it was just Igbos doing the usual ipob 419 rubbish..

He is enjoying the relative good job his predecessor did.

Tinubu
1 taxation,
2 stabilisation
3 Governance

Fashola

1 Judiciary
2 debt management.
3 PPP
4 Security

The most important things they did were not roads, drainage system,water-work or bridges.
The most important thing on which the success of lagos is built is the list above. It is on those stuffs that you build an healthy society.
If you want to know a badly governed state, just score them on those stuffs

The fact that you put 2 years old Ambode ahead of Fashola, the most productive governors in the history of Nigeria shows clearly that you are either hallucinating off ganja or you are still stranded in your village and have zero idea what you are talking about..

You can not post more than half NL page of Ambode's achievements, but I can post more than 10 full NL pages of Fashola's achievements..

Fashola delivered more infrastructures than all the other 35 states in the Nigeria including the FG combined since 1960.

Fashola faux success just a creation of intense propaganda..I never fell for it because for eight years of I kept tabs on some really important road from VI to Ikeja that where filled with giant pot holes and in 8 years he didn't fix any ..even the Lekki Epe express was tolling project which is one of the greatest scams ever perpetrated by a governor he couldn't complete . In just a year Ambode has made Lagos safer cleaner and has fixed all the bads road I used to monitor and is even trying to complete the Lekki Epe road Fashola couldn't complete . I am sure you even stay in Ibadan so you rely on media propaganda. ..Even Lagos PDP have come out to applaud Mr Ambode over his performance ..if Ambode is sent to the power ministry today we will begin to see results I believe

Lagos Sends 300 People With Kidney Problems Abroad For Treatment

Lagos — About 300 people with kidney related problems were sent abroad for treatment by the Lagos State government in the past one year. Governor Babatunde Fashola disclosed this when he received a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) yesterday.

According to Fashola, the 300 beneficiaries were referred to hospitals in England, US and India due to lack of necessary facilities for the surgery in Nigeria. The governor also reiterated the commitment of the state government to develop the Gbagada General Hospital's Intensive Care Unit for kidney transplant and dialysis. He said the project would be executed in the first quarter of 2011.

"We are already recruiting staff and consultants, who will manage the facilities at the hospital," he added.
