Four(4) Myths You Probably Believe About Your Android Smartphone by Opistorincos(m): 12:09pm On Aug 01, 2016
Without no iota of doubt, I can authoritatively and affirmatively proclaim the fact that the Android Operating System owned by Google is one of the most popular operating systems in the world today. This isn't an hoax, it is a claim backed up by facts, with 195 million active users in over 19 countries plus a whooping 200 million devices running on the Android platform misconceptions are bound to happen and that's exactly why I'm taking the pain to write this post, it's basically to clear the air and educate my readers on some of the popular misconceptions. Let's get down to business :

》》Overnight charging : Most mobile phone users have this phobia of keeping their devices plugged overnight, this is simply because they are trying to save their batteries from being overcharged and blown before dawn. The truth is, your device is smart enough to know when to stop charging even when plugged for a very long time, it'll stop receiving current once it's fully charged. The only thing to look out for if you wanna plug your device for a long time is battery temperature, once you realize your phone's battery is getting hot, simply unplug, give the battery a little time to cool off, connect your device back to the power source if it has not completed its charging cycle i.e. still yet to get a full charge.

》》Android Origin : So many Android users thinks Google started/founded the Android Operating system simply because they're the ones rolling out updates and new OS for devices. The bottom line is, the Android OS was originally founded by Android Inc, a company created by four computer experts whose combined efforts led to the development of the Android OS.

As at the time of Android's venture into the smartphone world, Google was one of its major share holders, they later negotiated and acquired the operating system from Android Inc somtimes in 2005.

》》Changing of imei number : Users on the Android platform across the globe change their imei number in a bid to restrain their government from keeping tabs on their private activities. Here in Nigeria, a lot of people change their device imei in order to enjoy one free browsing tweak or the other. Changing your device imei on your Android smartphone is absolutely allowed as the Operating System itself is open source. However, before changing your imei, do take note of the original imei as this will be required in case of phone loss/theft.

》》Rooting : Android newbies perceives rooting as a magical thing which can only be done by gurus and mobile experts, they see people who can root Android smartphones as people who have one super power or the other, oh! That dude is supercool, he rooted my device. Rooting is basically a process of unlocking and modifying your smartphone's OEM thereby granting you developer access i.e. you can make modifications to any aspect of your software/rom.

Though rooting your device will void your manufacturer's warranty, I think every bit of the process is worth it because as a developer, you will have full control over your device unlike users whose devices are not rooted.

These are the top four(4) myths that's common among Android phone users, now that you've known better, kindly spare a few seconds out of your time to share this article with your friends on the various social media platforms.
