Please do not be discouraged, last year my wife was denied three times on account of insufficient funds. First Application was in April and was denied in may. second application was in June and was denied in July. She then wrote her school who asked to start classes online while she reapplies. The application was in September and was approved in December. She is currently in Canada with my 3 kids though the last was born in Canada This year.
How did your wife tackled her visa application issues?

Hi fam I'm happy to be here. I intend to study in Canada too. I hold a third class degree in elect/ elect engineering. I have so many questions but let me just start with few.

Can I get scholarship with a third class?

Can I do my masters direct or do I need to do a PGD first?

No you cant get a scholarship...
i think PGD is a better option, 3rd class will hardly get you Msc...

The question should ask is: Would I get a job after my PGD/PGC? The question is Yes and No.

Yes: If you study a program that has got a high demand for the attained skill in the province you plan to study.

Bottomline is, you don't need a Masters program to get a good job. PGD/PDC gives you specialization in a certain field. My idea is, be sure you're picking the right program or you will be stuck.

Someone might have a different opinion though.

you have HND in Nigeria and you got admission to study Diploma in canada, first of all why not PGD?are you moving forward/stagnant/backward? I don't know the reason you want to tell any visa officer who would be reviewing ur application about your "purpose of intended visit".Re-think about this step your are taking before filing ur application for TRV

How did your wife tackled her visa application issues?
The 3rd application, she paid Term 1 tuition fees and had about 5.5 million naira statement of account. The first two attempts, it was 4 million naira statements that we had. No tuition was paid. She also got confirmation of enrolment from the school.

Bro here's mine. I studied mass comm initially at under graduate level in naija but the mass comm industry isn't exactly inspiring.

I then went to India for a year to study IT courses in a bid to switch careers (I've always loved computers and working with them) and I ended up getting 1 certification and about 13 trainings in networking and related areas.I plan on writing about 9 more certifications before applying to Canada for either pgc in information network security or information technology

In your own honest opinion, submitting the certifications alongside my application and probably a good SoP; what chances do I have using the mass comm as a yard stick having In mind the lack of correlation between mass comm and IT? How would the CiC people probably look at it?

All the above is after reasonably proving that I have the required funds of course

Thank you smiley

Or my weac since I'm going for a bsc course. What's the tuition like? "please I need advice.

Bro I think you re good, mass comm isn't about been a presenter, journalist or wat have u alone. Broadcasting is a part of it too, and u need computers to do dat. U just need to buttress this point and relate it somehow in ur statement of purpose

I know you do, just tell the VO what he needs to hear and get ur TRV, dats d most convincing point of view bro. It's just crazy these Canadians don't see dat som1 could actually change their field irrespective of their first degree.

ur 2.2 wldnt be competitive/would hardly get you masters in Canada. since you don't have work experience in nursing for now if i get it right,my own take on ur situation is,get a PGD/PGC program specialization in microbiology like Genetics,Anatomy,Botany etc..and give reasons of what this area of specialization will benefit you in ur career and home country and what motivated ur interest in such specialized field.therefore, i highlighted this for you to easily scale through in getting your Visa, then when you get to canada you can switch to nursing.though there some common relationship btw microbiology and Nursing but a VO might not see ur " purpose of visit" convincing enough.any1 can add to this cos im nt really conversant with some areas in Natural Sciences.

Thanks everyone sponsor was my mom. I appreciate, God bless you all. I am happy it is just funds, perhaps, if it was some other ambiguous reasons, I may have been bothered. I will try again, if I am denied again, I will forget Canada and invest in agriculture grin

I wish you the best of luck the next time you apply. please can I get your email. I want to discuss agriculture with you. I have sent you a message using nairaland mail.

bro it's not all about getting a cheap school. I am concerned about the program level you chose, you have HND and you are going for Diploma in Canada. Lemme ask you? How would a VO find your purpose of visit convincing?i have nothing to say again about this.
