Roland17:I never wanted bastian, his move was a cash grab disguised as a new adventure move. he won't force a move because he isn't good anymore and nobody will pay that wage. only Bayern fans should be vexed, but if they loved him as much as they claim maybe they should've kept him. I do believe that this story is been blown way out of proportion,Jose will never win a PR war, at this point people will always believe the worst, any attempt na just waste of time. |

Chai. The way Ancelotti take deny Schweinsteiger like Simon Peter for that him presser Roland17:Mourinho is a classless individual. No tact and no diplomacy that was why he was run out of town his last two gigs. The irony is a fit Schweinsteiger is still better than anything United have on ground. The only issue with Schweini is he could have given us a hometown discount. If he was going to leave Bayern he could have gone to a European contender, say PSG Schweini has no reason to leave unless United wants to buyout his contract |

SIRcumalot:Awoof dey run belle. We love Basti but he shoulda taken a cut so we know he loves us back. Its not about not being good. Who is better than Schweini in that your midfield? Schneiderlin, Herrera, Carrick. At 32 why would he force a move from a cool £20m? If na you be him agent would you tell him to leave? Mourinho's woeful man management is already on display again. Players don't forget these things. We have seen this film before |

A40:going solely on last season those three played more games and also played better. forget who the better player is sef, injuries doesn't allow him enough game time to show himself. only a mad man will leave all that money, I think Jose handled this situation as best as a situation like that could be handled. |

There isn't much that can be done about injuries but a healthy Schweinsteiger is better than all your options at Central midfield bar Pogba (if he comes) Mourinho don phuck up and his phuck up will be treated in due time |

Roland17:What's vindictive? Do you know the meaning of that word at all? Why Bastian has not forced a move? Are you a clown or what? He was asked to leave a long time but failed to do so because he's experiencing difficulty doing so and banishment to the reserves is to make him find a club faster and get out of United ASAP; how many clubs would take a 32 year old sick note like him who is on very big wages? Mourinho liked and has always rated Bastian in the past and if he wants nothing to do with him currently, then Bastian has himself fully to blame. That's the truth. The transfer was one of LVG poor decisions which failed to bear fruit. LVG himself ended up criticizing Bastian before he left because he realized his folly. When you bring in players like him who contribute next to nothing in a season, you won't last long at your job. That's another reason LVG is out of job and Jose doesn't want to end up like that. Only gullible/naive United fans have issues with the way Jose has treated him. |

SIRcumalot:My point here is your other options are mediocre. That is the fact. Schweinsteiger is better than your options when fit. I agree that injuries have hurt his consistency and that is unfortunate, however in pure footballing terms you guys have no one that can shine his boots. Goodluck offloading him anyway. What I do know is that till Pogba arrives that una midfield is still crap |
Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by GBR1(m): 11:45am On Aug 05, 2016 |
A40:When fit? Good thing you said that else this would've descended to a different discussion. Did Pep not say Bastian hasn't been fit for about 2 years or even more? Was Bastian fit at United? No; he spent more time injured and played less than one third of the total games we had in a season. Instead on working on his fitness issues, he was flying almost every time to Munich and spent more time there than even Manchester( a lot of United players were not even happy about it) and when he wasn't in Germany, he was touring the world with his girlfriend playing tennis and enjoying her pussу. Carrick at 34 is even fitter than him and Mourinho has chosen him over Bastian and rightfully so. Last season Carrick still had better performances for United than Bastian. Maybe if Bastian was fit, maybe maybe.... Nobody gives a sh1t about that. He has done or proven nothing at United; he's current a liability and pretty useless to us. He can fucк off and rightfully so. |

A40: He's almost always not fit so what are you talking about? Those mediocre options are more valuable to us so he should fucк off. Nobody gives a sh1t about his World Cup medals in United because he has done nothing since he arrived. Bastian want to continue doing MAGA for United; collecting big wages while doing nothing. Mourinho should treat his fucк up jare. Wetin concern us say hin be Bayern or German legend? 2 Likes |

You talked about him spending more time in Munich. Did it occur to you that this was where his Dr lived? You mean you have not seen injured athletes return to their homeland to recuperate? What do you mean by "working on his fitness" and what proof do you have that Schweinsteiger was not working on his fitness? What is wrong in traveling with your wife-to-be every now and then while injured? Should he become a Eunuch because he is the first player to get injured while playing for Manyoo? This was his first season in a new league. Yet neither Carrick, Herrera, M0ron Fellaini bested him. A certified midfield general like Schweini should have gotten the benefit of a doubt. SIRcumalot:At a certain age players become squad players, no crime in that. Schweini's combative style meant he was never going to age well. I like your choice of words here 'Ambition' now look at your midfield and compare with the rest of Europe and tell me if holding on to average players like Failaini, Herrera, Schneiderlin do anything to boost that ambition. Schweinsteiger is the complete midfielder when fit. A battle tested veteran who has a much higher ceiling and has delivered at a higher level than everyone in that your midfield. Including Carrick Mourinho's abrasive and childish approach to every issue has always been his downfall. You don't tell a senior player at 32 to go and find a new club when the market out there isn't overwhelming. If you can't integrate him in your squad then you shop for options instead of building resentment. These players are not phools. Its Basti's turn today tomorrow it could be theirs 1 Like |

A40:even with my liberal use of that word it is obvious that there is a ceiling. their are certain teams we cant compare ourselves with at least for now but for what we are chasing the coming season, those guys will play their part. i have said before, the media is blowing this stuff way out of proportion, nobody knows what is really going on, bastian himself hasn't said a word. LVG did worst to VICTOR VALDEZ last season and barca fans didn't make this much noise. |
Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by Roland17(m): 2:23pm On Aug 05, 2016 |
GBR1: Thanks for the apologies, i genuinely appreciate. If LVG sanctioned the transfer of Bastian as United fans claim, why would Bastian force a move during LVG's era as manager? Bastian only joined United in the summer of 2015 and this exactly one year since that trade. Bastian was injured for the bulk of LVG's reign, racking less than 20 senior level appearances for the red devils. Problem i have with United and Mou is the fact that he is back from injury, even though he was peripheral in the German team that played in France, however, he suddenly is not good enough to even train with the first team? I share the same sentiments with you about the sustainibility of the transfer, and i did not hesitate to spell that out in my original post. He should have either moved to another Bundesliga team, Chinese super league or the MLS, the demands and rigors of the EPL are distinctively unique especially when you come with a price tag and don't have age on your side. I would suggest he buys out the two years left in his contract because he has no place in Mou's team. |
Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by GBR1(m): 2:28pm On Aug 05, 2016 |
A40:I never bought that; It was always a suspicious transfer. Bayern is a big club too and i know United can't bully Bayern into selling their legends and i never stated otherwise. It was Bastian who wanted to leave but Bayern weren't exactly sad about it because he was pretty much useless to you guys then however a legend he was. Bayern midfield actually became stronger after he left. Why don't you guys take him back currently? Una don see MAGA abi? didn't Ancelloti rule out his return recently? You talked about him spending more time in Munich. Did it occur to you that this was where his Dr lived? You mean you have not seen injured athletes return to their homeland to recuperate? What do you mean by "working on his fitness" and what proof do you have that Schweinsteiger was not working on his fitness? What was the results of those visits? Basically nothing. Did they result in Bastian being less injured or did he become fitter? No They were useless, and that's why we're complaining. Some United players weren't even happy about that. If you've a personal doctor who is so important to you, it's best you bring him to the City or Country you're in; see Zlatan's case for example. Bastian commitment to his new club was really in doubt and he did little to prove the contrary. I can remember him going for such trips when he was with Bayern. LVG was the one who allowed him such freedom but LVG ended up criticizing him after he realized how useless he was for United. That was the man who brought him in, and Bastian's failure at United was one of the numerous reasons for LVG failure. Obviously, you don't follow United games. Carrick put in better performances than Bastian last season and currently he's still our best midfielder by far so stop saying what you don't know much about. Regards career and all time, Carrick is better than either Herrera or Fellani but Bastian is the best and is even a tier above any of them. Nobody doubts that but he's done so little at United and that's what matters. He's not a even United legend so there are no excuses for mediocrity because he never put in excellent performances for us in the past. Bastian at his best was easily better than Carrick or any of them but he's not at his best at United and it's very likely he's gonna be far away from his best all through. Last season, he was average at best all through, and i'm being nice with this description. Bastian is on very big wages; wages far higher than Fellani's and Herrera's put together so don't even get me started on that. Jose style is far different to LVG's and he has decided Bastian has no future in his plans unlike Herrera and Fellani who can be useful to him; what you've done in the past doesn't matter. But Bastian has decided to sit down doing nothing and collecting big wages as he likes but Jose is having none of that; That why we have this current fracas. Yes our midfield is currently poor but Bastian is a very big part of that dross. He collects more than half in wages of all our other midfield options put together and that's why getting rid of him is getting rid of that dross. He can live on past glories at Bayern because he's your legend but United owe him nothing. We can't pay him him such big wages while he contributes next to nothing. I followed Bastian career over the years because i was a big fan of his. I remember when he was converted from being a winger to a midfielder and i remember clearly his best years. He was a top midfielder; one of the very best of his generation and he would even have a good chance getting into the Germany's best midfield of all times. But all these things matter very little to me currently. He was a good passer but wasn't exactly known for that; his best performances always involved his high energy levels as B2B and his technical abilities. So people expecting him to transform into this Pirlo or even Carrick level on dictating games are demanding too much from him. He's finished as a midfielder in the top level and it's the truth; he could contribute a little more in a very heavily based possession system but the whole thing is gonna be average at best. Jose's style is far different and even for that Carrick would perform better than Bastian is usually more available; it's no surprise Jose chose to kept him and extended his contract while telling Bastian to leave. Mourinho obviosly would try bringing in better players and there's no space for Bastian on the wage bill. If Bayern want him, they should come back for him because most clubs are refusing to take him but i won't accept any United criticism from Bayern folks because Jose is making the right decision for the club however unpleasing it might be to them. |

A40: This is what you should be emphasizing and not the decision to deem him surplus to requirements.. If Mourihno's intention is to revamp our midfield (or squad as a whole), you cannot fault the decision to offload Bastian, considering his well-documented horrible injury record at the club (and even at Bayern before he joined us). The midfielders you listed may not have performed to the standards expected but it wouldnt be outta place if a manager decides to give them a chance to improve......at the expense of a 32year old who has spent more time at specialist hospitals in the last 3 years Thereabout. I personally do not like Mourinho's confrontational style - the way he handled Mata & Lukaku while at Chelsea seemed as if a personal vendetta he had against them clouded his sense of objectivity (if we are to take into account the fact that these were in-form players prior to his arrival). However, i can only fault the apparent disrespect he is showing Bastian & not the decision to ship him out of the club (if the rumours are true ) 2 Likes |

GBR1:Well na una sign am to 3 year contract. The onus is on y'all to either buy out his contract or find a willing buyer that will match his wages. That is not his responsibility Of course no one is asking you to give a shyte about his WC medal. Just put some Respek on his name and for your manager to show some class Man U is presently the Undisputed World Heavyweight MAGA in world football today. Any club willing to pay £100m for Pogba is a serious maga and I would be disappointed if Basti does not stay to collect his share What was Basti's phuck up? Being a 32 year old with injuries here and there? Awww, Happy New Year. Anyway no long yarning. This is the Mourinho we all know and we have seen this film before |

Roland17:LVG got MAGAed by both Bastian and Bayern. I have made peace with that. Banishing him to the reserves is the most effective way to force him out. It's what big clubs do to force a player out who refuses to leave. Bayern has done it in the past; but because they're hypocrites and their fans have so such memories. When Mourinho arrived, he told Bastian very early that he wasn't in his plans and that he should find a new club. It's likely Bastian refused and didn't take it seriously or is having problems finding a club to match his wages and he doesn't want a pay cut. Instead he's comfortable sitting on bench or being injured while collecting massive wages at United. Jose cannot bring in better players because there is limited space on the wage bill given the size of Bastian's wages. That's pretty classless from Bastian and i have no issues with the way Jose has treated him. |

SIRcumalot:Bastian doesn't need to say a word. He told his friends everywhere and they are using the media to try and gain attention and pity for him. That's pretty bad from Bastian too; I found it ridoculous when sick notes like Badstuber joined the train Even Bayern president commented on the issue and was thrashing United not that we care because Karlle is one extremely stupid and silly man who is obsessed with United and English teams. My Bayern friends wish he would stop commenting excessively on the media. Exactly, Mourinho isn't the first to do this but he has just too many haters. United have been forcing players out a long time ago before Jose or LVG; we did it even to our legends like Stam, Keane, RVN etc were all forced out against their wishes by Fergie. Bayern has been doing it to. They have banished players to the reserves before. Even a young Bastian got banished to the reserves while at Bayern but he forced his way back to the team. I remember how Bayern dealt with Luca Toni; they forced him to the reserves to get him out and they did similar things or moves considered "classless" by these Bayern fans to old strikers or other players they wanted out in the past. They won't hesitate to do similar again in the future. They are simply hypocrites. 3 Likes |

A40:Well, he would and should be treated as thrash until he finds a new club and that's nobody business since he's our player either. This is the hypocrisy associated with Bayern folks i always have problems with. What respect or class do you guys want from us? Is Bayern not a classless club too? Basically all big clubs are classless; it's the modern way. Bayern had been doing similar acts since god knows when and nobody complained. Didn't you guys basically force your treble winning coach Juup out into retirement against his wish? Was Luca Toni not banished to the reserves to force him out? You guys have forced out a lot of players against their wishes especially old strikers through whatever means no matter how classless and nobody complained. Juventus a very stingy club paid 90 million for higuain who is 29 by decemeber in this current market because we are taking Pogba from them. Were Juventus MAGAd too? They have an history of making smarter bigs deals than any big club ever. They were the same folks who sold Zidane for a record fee to buy 3 quality players in Thuram, Nedved and Buffon IIRC. United aren't complaining about the Pogba deal, so get over it. We have more money to spend than any other club currently so it's only normal we overpay most times. Stop blaming Mourinho; go and check out Jose's quotes about him in the past. Mourinho rated him very highly and had nothing but praise to speak of him in the past and currently if Mourinho wants him out of the team for good, then it's for good reason. It's the same Mourinho you guys said loved using old players; have you forgotten? There are 32 year olds who are still very good players contributing a lot to their teams unlike Bastian who can't stay fit to save his own life; those 32 year olds aren't on very big wages like Bastian either. Bastian scenario is entirely different. He's one of my favorite player but my love for United is far greater; i want him out of the club ASAP and it's for good reason. 3 Likes |

Though the decision to do that with the options you have on ground are quite amusing. Carrick, Schneiderlin, Failaini and Herrera are not suddenly going to morph into Xavi, Busquets and Iniesta no matter how many chances they get. You also don't expect Schweini with two years left on his contract to go fishing for a paycut. Mourinho didn't do that even while he was almost leading Chelsea to relegation Mourinho has overtime showed his inability to handle crisis situations. You have acknowledged this yourself. This is a dangerous precedent he is setting. And when it all falls down we would be here to remind him of the seeds he sowed. You are the first person complaining about these 'trips' Guardiola slapped a player he bought on live TV, Mourinho compared the players he bought to Waitrose eggs so what is your point? Carrick was bleh, his stats are average to mediocre and his performances even more so. As yawn inducing as most of your matches were I know enough to say that Carrick was not your best midfielder. I agree Basti was not exceptional but it begs the question what was your expectation when you bought him? Did you expect a 30something year old to just up and hit the ground running in his first season? Are there any games you can point to and say on the back of his performance there he has no business at United? GBR1:What do you mean by sitting and doing nothing? He showed up on his first day of training and you send him to the reserves? Very soon the noisemaker would be crying about betrayal Newsflash. Your team has been average long before Schweinsteiger came along. That you put him on huge wages is not a valid excuse for the rubbish treatment Jose is dishing. Its not like you were forced to pay those wages. Even Jose when he nearly ran Chelsea to the ground did not suffer such indignity. Again refer to my post about not being forced to agree to a 3 year deal I am well aware of Basti's career trajectory. Can he play at an elite level and is he done as a midfielder at the top level. Go and watch the first half of Germany v France and come back and tell me when Carrick has matched that in the last 6 years at club level never mind internationally where he was clearly a non entity. Obviously he cannot produce that every week but expecting that from a 32 year old is laughable in the first place. We are not saying don't sell him just put some RESPEK on his name. A40:My point is valid; that he just got there doesn't change the truth. If you buy a player and he plays badly in this first season, won't he said to be mediocre at that point in time? Bastian was already dross at Bayern sef because he hardly played and even a 34 year old Alonso was preferred to him than and put in better performances. what class are you taking about? I have addressed this issue already. Most big clubs are classless clubs in this modern era (Bayern included) you should see my posts. There was no place in his contract that it was stipulated that he must train with the first team. we haven't violated any term in the contract, and we're only doing what we have to do to force him out. He can take us to court and see what he'll be told. was that performance in a United shirt? Did he ever put in a performance like that for United? No. How can you reason like this? Of what use is his performance in German shirt or his past performances in Bayern shirt to United? This is the issue i have with him. He had an injury that was supposed to rule him out for the Euros but he played in it because of his love for Germany; i can't imagine him doing that for United. He looked slimmer and fitter for Germany than he had ever been at Manchester; he also put in performances far better than anything he had shown at United. Can you imagine that? What does that tell you about Bastian and his commitment to United? You're basically making my argument for me. How can we sell him then when he doesn't want to leave? Mourinho told him quite very early to leave but he hasn't done so. This is what we do as a last resort so Bastian only has himself to blame. Valdes has won everything and even more than Bastian and he was a Barcelona legend, didn't he get similar treatment at United under LVG? Was Mourinho also in charge then? Did you see Barcelona president or folks complaining like Bayern folks did? No. They don't have a silly and stupid president like Kalle who doesn't know when to shut his mouth and their fans aren't hypocrites like you guys. If i wanna rate Barcelona and Bayern folks, i know who i'll place first. Bayern given similar conditions has done similar acts in the past to their very own players and they are asking we show ask respect to someone who isn't our own. what kind of hypocrisy is this? A40 you're just going round and round and have said basically nothing. Your love for Bastian is clouding your reasoning and has made you biased in the whole situation. Una no get point at all. |
