federal govt wanted to construct one in onitsha, but their (s/easterners) quest for biafra stalled the process......willie obiano is indirectly telling federal govt to construct one
Quest for biafra stalled which process? Are you dishing out tales from your imagination? Since when have your FG ever wanted to create a seaport in the east?
I wonder why the so-called '' quest for biafra'' have not stalled Nigeria's oil extraction in imo and abia states.

Nigeria is not self sufficient yet.

There's no limit to what can be done to or with agricultural produce. Interested Nigerians can go n partner with Anambra for sales n distribution franchise. It does not preclude the state from export outside the shores of Nigeria if it so wishes.

Good developement!!

But i hope its not like Abakiliki Rice grin
Is there anything wrong with Abakiliki Rice? Btw if you mean they contain stone then know that only those produced by peasant farmers contain stone, those ones produced by big companies like Ebony Gold, Coscharis etc are highly mechanized and are stone free & also nutritious unlike the Thailand & Indian imported ones. Those against the exportation of Anambra rice should produce their own & give it out free if they want. If exportation would earn them the most revenue, then they should go ahead & export!!

Those three e-diots a few posts from mine won't see anything good in this because the man is not an APC governor.

We need to meet local consumption first. We shouldn't rush to export when local consumption has not been fully met. If the rice is as good as advertised, then I bet most Nigerians would shun the foreign one as it has even become too expensive for comfort.

One thing I'm sure of is that nobody in the SE lacks rice. Rice full everywhere! They export crude oil and export us to give our rice out? Fűck that.

Whr is Audu ogbeh to join hands with Anambra state govt to bring this rice to standard so we can stop rice importation. If na to collect protection fee frm farmers he go dey available.. Kudos to Obiano, u av done well

All the ministers are confused on their seats.

Ogbeh has not come up with a single viable policy in agriculture.

When we were in school, the less cerebral students always make friends with intelligent ones. Dunno whats wrong with buhari ministers. Cant he consult the past minister of agric ?

Hahahahaha.. some people will die of hatred. You South West should stay and be waiting for your old grand pas to bring govt to your door step and provide food and accommodation for you. What have you people gained from occupying the seat of power all these years and now? Instead you sold your brains to the old men and suffer, smile and praise them with empty stomach meanwhile those who have never smelt the seat of power in this country are doing well, living large and making the whole money in your so called country.

SW youths are very lazy.

They pick gigantic snails from their forests for free along Ajaokuta Lagos route and they have very dense forests yet cannot farm..

Why would u want to be those living in delusions? Does Naija have a comparative advantage in rice production? Which country would prefer Naija rice to Indian, Thai, American or other rice products from countries that av been in rice export for ever?

Its so hard not to count all ds as fraud! At least we can see a roomfull of rice bags, unlike d ugu situation! Now imagine exporting rice at how much cost? When u can move it to any other state in Naija and make up to 50% profit without d attendant cost implication of paying for overseas shipment?!

Simple logical reasoning seems to be a mountain! Story of Naija!
