Sorry alfa, it is only new in Nigeria that someone at last is speaking for the christians at that level. Is it only moslems that have rights? When christians talk, they are fanning religious crises but when moslems kill, it is politicians that are killing. Useless blood suckers!!!
How is wearing hijab as a Muslim affects the rights of a Christian?

How exactly is a woman wearing a scarf of her head against the interest of christians?
[/s]

Summarising everything the man said in one sentence, are you nuts? Go and read the damn article before spewing rubbish.

Here is just a paragraph from the article:
How can somebody say that he is doing a reform in the curriculum and change Christian doctrine and think that we will keep quiet? They will be teaching in that new educational curriculum that Jesus Christ is not the son of God. Is that Christian teaching? And you call it Christian Religious Knowledge? Where did you bring that one from if you are not just provoking anger in other people? You want to be teaching that Jesus is not the son of God and that He did not die on the cross and that He did not rise from the dead. You are saying there’s nothing like Christianity. Is that education?

So, government should allow people dress as they like? Those who worship masquerades can dress like one and christian students can also dress like we saw in Osun recently right?

Oga, that is not the solution. Everybody should be subjected to the same rule irrespective of religious beliefs. School uniform for students in government established schools should be the same. After school, you can wear whatever you like.

Then maybe they could make the hijab part of the school uniform for everyone. Would you prefer that? What makes the extant uniform inviolable may I ask? The issue of hijab really shows up the hypocrisy of Christians. Why are they crying out with one breath about the backwardness of Muslims who restrict dressing, yet with another breath, they cry about the necessity of restricting the hijab in schools?

For the records, we dont care if Christians wear church robes or go naked. Our faith is self sufficient, it tells US how to attain salvation and please our Creator. Our faith (and income) does not rely on the dressing or manners of people in other religions, so we are not interested in how unbelievers dress or behave.

.Is CAN a lawless organisation? Let them go to the Court and seek a redress. I challenge CAN to be bold and stict the issue only to the female students and order the female xtian students to dress in the way of Mary now! What a deviation from the main issue! They must also provide evidence from the bible on the choice of the dressing.
i am sure you didn't read the whole article or interview otherwise you wont be talking about dressing and court

Are christians or traditional worshippers required to wear a particular attire as part of their faith?

In most European countries and in the US, muslim women wear their scarf to school even when there is a recognised school dress code. Sikhs wear their turbans. That is what freedom of religion means.

It is only when people turn it to a competition that problems arise. The courts have interpreted the Nigerian constitution and says they should be allowed ti wear it. You will need to review constitutional provisions of freedom of religion to change it.

they say two wrongs don't make right, but when the other person's wrong is a threat to your existence, then your wrong is justified, the Muslims are out to force Islam on us by hook or crook, we can see it by events that has been happening and our survival should be prioritized over being correct or decent, the only language they understand is violence, sacking people from their rightful place has been their agenda starting with the mother of Ishmael wanting to become madam over Sarah

i read somebody say he should'nt segregate us and i laugh. well,in case you don't know,we are already segregated from time immemorial;christianity and islam!

islam is a religion that preaches dominance,by carnage if need be! religion nay faith should be a thing of freewill, any attempt to impose one religion on another will only lead to problems.

Antioch was the first place where disciples were called Christian, apostle Paul and others liberated the land for Christ.... Do u know that Antioch which is now call Turkey is no more home of Christians? infact it's now zero percentage of Christians. What happened to extinction of Christian faith in Turkey is gradually happening in Nigeria if we refused to stand for our faith.

I believe the CAN president knows exactly what his talking about. Some of us just want to speak because we feel we are learned, therefore even issues we have no Idea about, we wish to speak on Nigeria is heading to a state we will wish we address the little issues now. God bless Nigeria. For now, let him with wisdom be silent wen it's necessary. There is understanding in silence.
