This is such an insightful interview. I loved the manner in which he answered the questions—direct and short. theadvocatus: konnet: Sometimes they do, just as it is possible for two unintelligent parents to give birth to a genius. It's a phenomenon called regression to the mean, i.e because something is below average or above average doesn't mean it would constantly remain there. It applies to the current shauri on ground in the sense that, because all civil attempts to achieve a secularized state have proved abortive, it doesn't mean we(Christians) must persist in tilting at that particular window with the same set of tools and strategy. You cannot fight and win a Barbarian without acting like a Barbarian. If the Moslems insist on superimposing their mode of dressing on us, or think they are bigger than the Constitution which made it clear that the federation shall not adopt any religion as state religion(1999 Constitution; Section 10), or feel that they have more authority over the school and can defy its rules with impunity, then Christians all over the country must reciprocate the gesture by agreeing that all their children and wards should also be allowed to wear their church apparel to schools in order to strike a balance. kaakaa1: Yes, we are. The Moslems have been presuming on the peaceful nature of the Christians. If they keep pushing us and have our backs in close proximity with the proverbial wall, then there is no preventing the outbreak of a full bore religious war.
Quite an admirable patriotism. Unfortunately, Nigeria was never meant to be one in the first place—the merging of the incongruent entities that make up the nation today was an unholy matrimony ab initio. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

ohbyjay: You are right, Africa will soon be almost all non Christian, just like Turkey, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Morrocco, Albania etc; against all the prophecies and expectations of CFAN 1900-2020. Though Christianity had a headstart of 600 years, and despite the fact that Christians of all persuasions have engaged; and are still engaging today; in oppressive wars of advanced weaponry and rampant media/online calumny against Islam, Islam is still set to overtake Christianity worldwide. Just go check out Muslim gains in Europe and the US; where the Ex-Christians (now atheists) have turned away from the Pauline manipulation of Jesus, we Muslims are reviving his true message. The Quran was right... << And say: "Truth has now arrived, and Falsehood perished: for Falsehood is; by its nature; bound to perish." >> Quran 17:81. If you like, dont only 'stand' your faith, frog jump it. 3 Likes |

tbaba1234: Ifa and Osun adherents are required to dress in white, Sango worshippers wear majorly red cloths. So, since the constitution allows for freedom of religion, children born into these faiths can as well dress in the colours prescribed by their religions to school right? Beside, when will you guys start advocating for female soldiers to wear hijab? See, government institutions are secular institutions, it should not be used to promote any religion. 1 Like 1 Share |

What kind of rubbish is this. Don't they know this is taking us nowhere . All this fights. First it's tribalism. Now it's about religion. Always trying to tear us apart instead of bringing us together. Which kind of leader is he? |

Farmerforlife: I don't care about any fucking religion so please, get that straight. All we are saying is, let fair be fair. You want your children to wear hijab to school, good. Let the children of others who subscribe to different faiths dress according to the dictates of their faith. What's bad in that? Why are you guys attacking the CAN president for saying christian students will continue to wear church robes to school? Wear your hijab, let them wear their church robes, that is what the court says and it shall remain so until the supreme court rules otherwise. |

If Muslims leaders talk the way this CAN president is talking about how many Muslims are being killed by others and why Muslims must defend themselves then Nigeria will be in chaos because all i read in his speech is hate and intolerance propagation. 7 Likes |
