uniklinkum: It's simple. Just blend your pepper and tomato. Pour it in your pot and immediately add your meat. Then add two teaspoon of palm oil and that's it. You'll know it's done when your meat becomes pronounced in the pot with the pepper blend sticking to the meat. The object is to suck all the meat juices into the pepper blend and as well seep the pepper blend into the meat. It's the trick those alamala joint's use. No forget salt ooooo. |

pippimp:You hunt? Wow. Talking of goat meat. Funny story. I tried to make a goat meat buddy. It didn't go well. Invited the guy a few times to come share meals with us especially during the holidays. He's from Ghana and was always complaining about how he missed African cooking. So I'd make egusi or jollof or puff puff etc and call him to come join us for lunch or dinner. Dude finished my food and ran away. After bragging how he'd give us any amount of goat meat we wanted for free. Even though I was ready to pay. I just wanted the goat meat with the skin on roasted over open fire like we do in Nigeria. And he said he could do that. That was why I wanted it from him instead of buying from the Mexican store where I used to buy. My sister-in-law even went to buy a new deep freezer and kept it in her garage to store the goat when he brings it. Because he was really bragging about it. Lmao. The farm didn't even belong to him. Hehehe. Guy man. Anyway we've forgotten him now. 4 Likes |

cococandy: Lol...that was funny. I was lucky though. They spit roasted mine with the skin on. I really missed that. Those damned Mexicans look at you as if you are asking for human meat whenever you ask for the skin on. |

Laurele: Let me give you this, then with time you learn how to adjust. 3 tin cups of warm water 2 teaspoon of yeast Half tin cup of sugar or you can add more if you want. Then your flour. I won't be giving measurement for flour cos I can't really tell the amount of flour that will be enough. Method.... Put your warm water or you can use water at room temperature. Don't use hot water, else it will kill the yeast. Add your sugar and yeast. Mix together with your hand or spoon. Now start adding your flour till you get a somewhat thick consistency. I.e like when you want to fry akara. You know how the grinded beans need to be when you are set to start frying? Cover it with a kitchen towel and leave in a warm place to rise. Leave for 1:30 mins to 2 hours. Put your oil on fire, once it's hot, not too hot oo, drop a little into the oil to know if it's hot enough. For the onions and pepper, you add them when you are about to start frying. Hope this helps. |

cococandy:I know the feeling. The shop I can get goat meat sells without the skin and its not roasted by fire like in Naija. I am still looking for where I can get the real deal not minding that 8 pieces of goatmeat costs 5€. I miss snails so much, I have not been able to see it to buy and fresh Periwinkles too |

Roland17: Thank you. Feeling quiet encouraged. A lot is going on in the country and I think people are still not aware that earlier than later these crops will be on our tables. We have to be informed and prepared. And be willing to make the choice between GMOs and non GMOs if need be. Most concerns can be attributed to our perspective on genetic modification. This I want to know from people's responses. I still need more responses guys.... https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScLvbgIbUnannWQCz01AW8FIVT1aq4JCba1ki6lQV84QAcKBQ/viewform?c=0&w=1 Kindly fill the survey. Thanks. |
