When Satan doesn't want you to be saved, he raises threads like this. Deceive yourself very well. When you leave the world you will know Hell is real. I don't pray you be condemned. I testify Hell is real. I know because I have been there.

rummeh:
Many Christians today believe in a place of eternal torment where sinners are sent after death, commonly referred to as Hell in English. This belief is extremely mainstream and forms part of the basic perception of the religion in popular culture.
Am not a Jehova Witness tho but i want you to enjoy reading this.

1.It was Barely Mentioned in the bible
According to Romans 6:7, “he that is dead is freed from sin.” So if a person’s sins are cleared with his or her death, then what’s with the additional punishment of Hell? Well, Romans 6:23 goes on to state that “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Note that there is no mention of sinners being condemned to everlasting torture, they simply don’t get the reward for living a righteous life. Similarly, 2 Thessalonians 1:9 says that the punishment for those deemed wicked is not fiery torture, but destruction, “shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might.”

2.Many References To Hell Were Mistranslated

When it comes to misconceptions about Hell, the popular 17th-century King James Version (KJV) of the Bible has a lot to answer for. For example, in the KJV, the prophet Jonah was in the “belly of Hell,” while David bafflingly insists that God would be with him even in Hell. Even Jesus pops down to Hell after his death on the cross.

That’s particularly important to Hades and Sheol, which are roughly equivalent words in Greek and Hebrew. Neither can reasonably be translated as “place of torment,” which is what the word “Hell” now generally implies. A better translation might be “the grave” or “the afterlife.” Neither term carries a value judgment in the way that “Hell” does—only the wicked go to Hell, but all souls are in Sheol after death. So David’s weird KJV claim that God would be with him in “Hell” is better translated as “the afterlife” or even “the depths.” While the KJV references Jesus being in Hell after his death on the cross, the New International Version makes a much less dramatic reference to him being in his “grave.” In fact, the New International Version only refers to Hell 15 times, compared to a whopping 54 mentions in the KJV.
Other modern Bibles try to avoid such problems altogether by simply leaving “Sheol” and “Hades” untranslated, although this hasn’t quite undone the influence of the KJV. As the Encyclopedia Americana of 1942 put it: “Much confusion and misunderstanding has been caused through the early translators of the Bible persistently rendering the Hebrew Sheol and the Greek Hades and Gehenna by the word ‘Hell.’ The simple transliteration of these words by the translators of the revised editions of the Bible has not sufficed to appreciably clear up this confusion and misconception.”
3.Jesus Didn’t Invent His Parable About Hell

It’s right there in the Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus, as recorded in Luke 16:19-31.

In fact, Jesus didn’t even come up with the story in the first place. Scholars have long identified the general outline (a beggar is rewarded after death, while a rich man is punished) as an Egyptian folktale that became popular with Jewish religious teachers like the Pharisees, to the point that early Jewish literature contains at least seven versions of it. In Luke’s account, Jesus only brings the story up after the Pharisees mock his original Parable of the Unjust Steward, thus using one of their own favorite stories to demonstrate their hypocrisy. With this context, it’s hard to see the parable as a serious account of the Christian afterlife.

4. Even The Church Fathers Couldn’t Agree On Hell

Since many hold the early church fathers as the authority on matters of faith and doctrine, many would find it surprising that even they couldn’t agree if Hell existed and, if so, what it actually was. Justin Martyr, Clement of Alexandria, Tertullian, and Cyprian were among those that held that Hell was a literal place of fiery torment. Origen and Gregory of Nyssa disagreed, countering that Hell was simply separation from God.
In modern times, many Christian denominations have moved away from Saint Augustine’s conception of Hell as a physical place beneath the Earth. Even the venerable Catholic Church has apparently decided to go with the flow, with the Catechism of the Catholic Church, approved by Pope John Paul II in 1992, declaring that Hell is simply a state of “definitive self-exclusion from communion with God and the blessed.”

5.Some Aspects Of Hell Seem Distinctly Non-Christian

The Ancient Egyptian religion, for example, featured a cavern containing a “lake of fire” where the souls of the wicked were punished for their transgressions. The early Mesopotamians also believed that the underworld lay underground, although it was more dim and miserable than a place of eternal punishment.
A particularly interesting comparison can be made between the popular idea of Hell and Zoroastrianism, an ancient religion originating in what is now Iran. In the earliest Zoroastrian texts, the souls of the sinful are judged after death and condemned to eternal punishment in the underworld, which theBook Of Arda Viraf describes as a pit full of fire, “smoke, stench and demons.” The souls are tortured according to the severity of their sins in life and the whole thing is presided over by Angra Mainyu, the great evil spirit, “who ever ridiculed and mocked the wicked in hell” for following him instead of their creator god.

I'm a jw. Though I'm not supporting it exist, infact, all my life, I have been taught and believe that it doesn't as with some point you have mentioned.

But upon closer inspection of the messages in the Bible, there are so many reference of something like that in both the old and new testament to dismissed that it doesn't exist.

What I can only say is, let's try to do good, not bad, because we don't want to discover that it does exist. It would be so devastating

hell exist..and it means grave..everybody goes there.

when Christians used the word "hell" we are referring to the "Lake of fire" according to the book of Revelation..
And what do u think of Matthew 25:41,46 ; Luke 16:23-24
The Bible says in Matt 24:12, "And because iniquity shall increase, the LOVE of many shall wax cold".
So many people living a sinful life and don't want to sincerely give their lives to Jesus Christ use this issue of " Hell is not real",
"God doesn't exist", and the likes to encourage themselves_Satanic operations manifesting.. Too bad..

Please answer this question if you can. Can God forget things? ( Yes/No). If he forget things, Can God forget our sins? ( Yes/No). So if through inspiration Paul wrote what was recorded in Romans 6:7 and Romans 6:23 which perfectly fits Genesis 2:7. Then on what basis will God charge sinners to be condemned to hell fire after ensuring due payment of the debt owed God through their death? All of this boils down to the fact that people don't understand God's four cardinal qualities that includes love, power, Justice and Wisdom. Where is the love(ife) when someone gets tormented forever for the sins not beyond 70/80 years. Where is justice( idajo ododo) when someone gets tormented forever for sins of 70/80 years. Where is the wisdom in such scenario. What kind of power his God exerting in such (abused powers or not)? Please Whenever you consider God's judicial decision base it on this four attributes and meditate well on it. That is the key to understanding the God you serve better. For the records Paul had proper knowledge of what happened back then in Eden that is why he said once a sinner dies he is acquitted of his sins. Read psalms 103: 10 - 14 he has not dealt with us according to our sins.

Amos 9:2 Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down. Question: So if a sinner is already digging into place of torment why will God want to bring them out if indeed hell was a place of torment? At times I tend to think what delight is in it for God to see someone suffer not to talk of torment.

Really

It is very interesting to discover that there are more Bible verses about Hell than there are about Heaven. Here are a few verses in the Old Testament about Hell. Daniel 12:2 proclaims, "Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt." Hell is described here as everlasting. Isaiah 66:24 declares, "And they will go out and look upon the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; their worm will not die, nor will their fire be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind." In this Scripture, hell is described as a place where the fire is not quenched. Deuteronomy 32:22 portrays hell as a place where God pours out His wrath, "For a fire is kindled in My anger, and shall burn to the lowest hell; It shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains." Psalm 55:15 illustrates hell as a realm of the wicked, "Let death seize them; Let them go down alive into hell, for wickedness is in their dwellings and among them."

Hell Is Real

You are right sir but there is a BIG but.

Let's start with the words of Christ,He used a lot of figurative expressions to describe things.I believe an eternal separation from God is equal and even worst than physical fire.In fact even if there are 1 million hell references in the bible it simply means an eternal damnation of being separated from God.In fact think of all the evil going on in the world at the moment, the rituals, killings, rape.Imagine,God still has a hand in holding this world together which means there still hope for humanity, imagine the days when He removes His hand, that's worst than fire burning you.

Just like the heaven example as well, we say it's laid with Gold,is that what really makes heaven HEAVEN -GOLD, that means the Saudi prince are already in heaven and the real heaven is just a compliment but NO it's the presence of God that makes heaven HEAVEN.I will rather be with Jesus for ever and be in a small room as far as the presence of God is there(That's heaven for me). A palace without God's hand is hell.

I'm not at all trying to negate the existence of Hell but a time will come after God judges the earth and He will cast off His hand and wherever the wicked people find themselves, trust me that's hell whether it has fire or not.

IS HELL A REAL PLACE? READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY
Deuteronomy 32:22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
Notice that the fire of hell is God's anger the earth represent people
Who are those going to hell?
Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Hell has sorrows and pains in fact what you have on earth is only a shadow of what is in hell
Psalms 18:5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
Psalms 116:3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.
Isaiah 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
In this place hell is liken to a pit

Ezekiel 32:21 The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.
People in hell can speak

Hell has belly
Jonah 2:2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Matthew 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Matthew 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Matthew 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

I have read many comment from people denying hell.
Well this is not surprising as you reactions is equally in the bible
Isaiah 33:14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

If you are afraid of going to hell it means you are actually a sinner and there is nothing you can do to change your doom no amount of good works or good living will help you because,
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
The physical death humans experience is the evidence to this fact
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
There is nothing you can do to change yourself
BUT
There is something God has done for you
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Yes Jesus died for you to be free from condemnation forever! It may sound too good to be true but it is the revelation of God's love for you.
You can be assured of salvation today

Hebrews 3:7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
God has laid your just punishment on Jesus
Yes you are guilty and worthy of God's judgment
For example your heart is most wicked

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
There is no one righteous
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
So God choosing to save you is out of his love.
Yes you can be free

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Repent and come to Jesus today and you shall be saved.
If you receive this little word say this prayer
Lord Jesus I come to you as a sinner that I am, forgive me and take me into your arms I receive you as my Lord and personal saviour be my Lord. Amen.
If you have just said this prayer congratulations you are now a child of God. Locate a bible believing church near you and worship with them to continue to build on your faith.

Might not exist kiddo.... I believe in hell tho

1 Hell Is Little More Than A Scare Tactic
While religions like the Jehovah’s Witnesses and
Seventh-day Adventists do not teach the doctrine
of Hell, many churches and denominations still
cling to the idea. But why?
It cannot be denied that, throughout history, the
idea of Hell has been used as a scare tactic to
keep people in line. An 18th-century preacher
named Jonathan Edwards became famous for his
fire-and-brimstone sermon “ Sinners In The Hands
Of An Angry God ,” which warned that God could
“cast wicked men into Hell at any moment.” So
terrifying was his depiction of hell that other
clergymen had to rush to the aid of distraught
members of the congregation. Even in modern
times, the theme of “believe or you will go to Hell”
is common, complete with vivd descriptions of
grinding teeth, the shrieks of the damned, and the
odor of scorching flesh. Writing on the topic, one
author describes having seen a young child
scream in church, confessing that he was “ afraid
of Hell .”
Others, such as Queen Mary I of England, have
used the doctrine as an excuse for perpetrating
barbarism. Before sentencing a group of
Protestants to be burned alive, she supposedly
declared: “As the souls of heretics are hereafter to
be eternally burning in Hell, there can be nothing
more proper than for me to imitate the Divine
vengeance by burning them on earth.”
Like all scare tactics, the idea of hellfire can exert a
powerful grip on believers. However, the Biblical
evidence for the horrifying doctrine is rather
lacking. In fact, the Parable of the Rich Man and
Lazarus , often cited as Biblical proof of the
doctrine of Hell, actually has the opposite
message. At the end of the parable, Abraham
declines to send Lazarus back to Earth to warn
sinners of some terrifying fate awaiting them in the
afterlife, arguing that righteousness can only come
from belief, rather than fear of some supernatural
punishment.

Jesus himself isn't real

Just a fictional character taken too seriously

Deluded people that believes a handsome half unclad carpenter who was a bastard son of an acclaimed virgin who was crucified on the cross like a traitor, beaten and tortured while deluding himself into thinking he is the son of god only to get to the cross and realizing his folly cried out "my god my god why have thou forsaken me" and even begging his imaginary father to make the cup pass away from him is their personal saviour

It is interesting to note that the caption of this write up carries an uncertain term (MIGHT). The fact that you don't know about a thing does not mean it does not exist. I am very sure you don't know me, but obvously I exist. The kingdom of God requires faith to have anything to do with it. Jesus himself said in Matt 13:41-42, that those which do iniquity shall be cast into a furnace of fire. Hmm, I do not see any mis-interpretation here. To those that claim it is a means to make people fear, now that may be true for some, but that is not the original intention of the Word of God. Now, If you tell a child not to play with fire that it burns, is it to make him afraid or to prevent him from hurting himself because you care for the child? Be the judge.

God bless you.

I rather believe in it and finally find out that it doesn't exist than to deny it's existence so I can live my life anyhow and find out that it exits
so you are not living your life anyhow cus you believe it exists right?

Hell doesn't exist, but regret does, for those who didn't and wouldn't live their life to the fullest all in the name of religion.

permission to reframe your sentence thus "Hell MAY not exist, but regret DOES, for those who would love to live life the way they choose. i would rather prepare for an exam that may not hold than feel relaxed and later discover that the exam will hold.
