Possibility of release: Slim
This occurs when almost all the candidates in a particular centre had same grade. WAEC will further investigate the result. If truly the candidates engaged in any form of malpractice during the exam, such results would be seized and not released. But if reverse is the case, they would be released.

No, not a crime at all. All i want to say is pray hard. I got an 'A1' in commerce recently plus four 'B3' in other subjects and it's not withheld nor term outstanding... Best of wishes bro

It means your result in that subject is undergoing serious scrutiny possibly because of errors or suspicion of exam malpractice. It will be released after the problem has been rectified. Do not panic unless you involved in exam malpractice.

Regardless of the course you intend doing, you need a credit in Mathematics. Please go and enroll for GCE and concentrate on it. The outstanding means being withheld.

Outstanding means the paper is being held back for some investigation, keep checking from time to time, write a letter and official email to WAEC if nothing happens after 3months, it'd either be released or cancelled. Pray the later is not the case.

I had the same issue in English Language years ago and about a month later it was released and I had a B3. Don't worry. It will be released soon... Just keep checking

I think it depend on the time your preferred school will do their selection.
I can't assure you that it can't cost you admission. I cost me UNILORIN admission 10 years ago.
However, the fact that it happened to me does not mean it will happen to you, trust God for the best.

You dont need maths? I thought Maths and English is still compulsory.

Outstanding means they're probably still working on your script. I got 2outstandings in my result in 2011, Geography and Biology. They were released about a month after with B2 in geography and C5 in biology
Thanks...many Arts courses don't need Maths,English and Literary studies inclusive.

Check back in 2 or 3 months time. Your result would be released. Back then in 2007, Ihad same issue with my biology, after 2months they released it. Just relax

During my sec school days, we had a very mean Geography teacher who was a sadist and also stingy in awarding marks . I was the best in his subject but during our mock exam, he failed almost everyone of us but I escaped with C6.

Fast forward to our waec. My Geography result was not released ( Outstanding) but after some months, It was released and I had A1.

I wasn't bothered cos I had written GCE the previous year and I passed .

The probability of releasing your result is slim. You guys cheated in your centre.

The result will be released but the only issue is the time it will take.I had this same issue in 2008,I had two outstandings in physics and chemistry. The physics was released about a month later,while the chemistry was released in 2010,after i have used GCE to replace the outstanding chemistry for my admission into Uniben.

Check after 2 weeks...outstanding simply means its pending..maybe a mistake on your part or on the school's part during that paper.

Or waec is still sorting it out.

Had the same problem in physics 4 years ago. Later had B

Go and write another WAEC. Outstanding means your results was siezed. It might not be released anytime soon.

I can see u 'crediting' all courses except mathematics, it might hunt u in the future.

Some organization requires that u pass the 5 major subject at Olevel.

That how they witheld all my subjects in 2013 they later release it like 4 month later and the result is good 5Bs and 3Cs. Just pray.

I think you are right. The reason my chemistry was on outstanding was because the WAEC supervisor caught people cheating in my center.The man demanded for 50k as bribe when he arrived to conduct the exam for us.the proprietor of my school arrogantly told him he can't pay 50k and the supervisor felt insulted and decided that we must write the chemistry without malpractice.They begged the man with the 50k he initially asked he refused and decided that no malpractice to punish my proprietor for insulting him.Everybody had to write the exam on his own,he wrote cheating in the scripts of more 50 candidates in my center.I am very good in chemistry so i nv really needed assistance.I was the only person that passed chemistry (b3) among the over 140 candidates that sat for that exam.

You are wrong. Not all course requires a credit in math, especially Arts courses. Although, Unilag is an exception.

Plz guys I av question dat is nt related to dis post. I nid u guys to advise me plz. I'm preparing to go for my screening at FUTA on Thursday. Bt my problem nw is dat, jst lst week I discovered dat my name was mis-typed by ppl dat registered me for jamb. Instead of "EMEKA" I saw "EMAKA". Dey took E for A. I'm tinkin wen I got there for d screening I shuld try to convince them dat it was a typographical error. Bt sum1 I tld ystd advised me to go and issue affidavit for dat. Plz guys, do I really nid to issue an affidavit? And is dat going to solve it all by correcting d name? Plz help me. I would be glad if dis goes to d front page as topic.

That's a lie bro.... Remember mine den... It was withheld too... I even lost hope after using about 2 scratch cards.. I had to sit for GCE that same year.. I was on my 2nd paper when they released the results.. 7 distinctions 1 credit Physics Cancelled ....
