What voltage is the UPS producing? It sounds as if it's too high or maybe it's not a true sinewave.
Can you get hold of a transformer that will change, say 240vAC to 110vAC ?
the bluegate ups is not pure sine wave, my appliances are 220v how would a 110v transformer work with them

Please sorry to border you, what type of smart charger can I use 12 or 24v?

24v Smart Charger. Alternatively, if you already have kits for a 12v system (ie one 12v battery and a 12v smart charger) you may exchange ur 24v ups for a 12v ups to save on cost.

i wanted to upgrade my existing setup with more 2pcs of 200watts or 250watts mono panel, only to find out that the price has almost doubled. 200watts and 250watts panel now cost around 62,000 and 75,000.respectively. shocked shocked shocked my intended upgrade is therefore halted for now. grin grin
I was trying to set up an array of 4 250w panels but with this rate, I think I will pass, at least for now. I have 12 65w home made solar panels and my battery bank gets ful before 1pm, na em dey save me for now

mppt, 12 100ah batteries. Max discharge around 80 to 85%

Sorry to bother you, I have two solar panels that I am planning to install, a 12v 55 watts + 12v 55watts solar panel. Do you have an idea if that will be capable of charging my 200ah deep circle battery before sunset daily?
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by Innomach(m): 9:04am On Aug 01, 2016
9ijaprince:
Yes it can,but you have to install charge controller in between solar panels and battery to regulate ur battery charging rate and over charging.

You shouldnt be focused on it charging before sunset, you should be okay if you get a reasonable charge at the end of the day. You should be having a current of around 3A on that setup, more if u use an mppt controller. so, what you are planning to do will work depending on the charge controller you will be using and the depth of discharge of that your battery. If you discharge the battery more, you won't achieve ur aim.

You should put the two 55Wp panels in series. (Otherwise on not so sunny days, voltage is simply too low!) If you plan to grow, get an MPPT controller with 20 or better 30 Amps. Later you can sell your small panels and adopt a 200 Wp panel. In the future you can add an additional 200 Wp and replace the battery.

This is a recommendation to grow...

Comprehensive list of appliances, Watt consumption and proposed time each would work per day is the info to work with in designing a system, that's how you will get a relevant recommendation.

one refrigerator, led plasma TV,charging of phones and using of energy saving bulbs
Comprehensive as in
Refrigerator 150w for 10 hours daily
TV 100w for 20 hours daily
Phones 5 pieces for 10 hours each
Bulbs 30w 24 hours each...
That's just an example of what I'm referring to as comprehensive, the above is too vague if you want an accurate analysis/ estimate.

Most telecoms companies use recitifiers as smart chargers, but rectifiers are actually dumb chargers cos they never stop charging. Have u asked why they change batteries every 6months while ur batteries last almost 2yrs.

The chargers destroy the plates and sulphate dem so bad that it's hard to recover them again. Apart from the fact that they're power suckers, have u noticed the pull on ur gen when u have those things attached?? Terrible I tell you ; just try it with prepaid meter and the Lord will surely be ur strength.

If u can avoid it please do.... my 2pences

You said you were going to teach us how to CREATE an Inverter- but all you did was CHANGE the battery on a Computer Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) device!

That's not creating anything!

How can you possibly charge a DC battery from an AC source without rectifying the current?

Of course it has rectifiers in it, somewhere.

now i am confused.. my 1200 bluegate has two red wires and 2 black wires connected to two batteries. red wires are connected to the red part of the battery and black wires to the black parts of the battery; is this unit a 12v or 24v?

I am guessing its a 12v ups but loose open the ups ,take and upload picture of the ups with the wires attached to it,
Let's see.....some 1200 blugate ups are 12v while some are 24v
