Just an afterthought, we need to start suing these Doctors for toying with our lives and those of our kids. Maybe when their license gets invoked, their hospitals shut down, their names dragged in the mud, they will learn to take time with us!
How can you induce a woman and go home?
This is the second time I am hearing this, I know someone whose uterus ruptured and the baby and the contents of uterus actually poured out into her, she said the baby was pulled from under her chest. Almost 12 years later, she is still battling with so many health issues.
When women start winning 10-100million Naira court cases, they will sit up and do their job well. and only then will maternal-child loss really reduce.

There are a few women here who I wish had sued their hospitals.

my dear, you are right. people need to start naming and shaming these hospitals and stop the culture of 'leave them to God'.

in addition to this, mothers also need to seriously educate themselves on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), the tell-tale early signs of a sick baby, when to self medicate, when not to, when to switch hospitals and so on.

Suzy, does worrying makes you cum. Can you just breathe in and out. As long as you keep having scan at different times, it will continually give you different dates as there are different measurements that are taken like weight of baby, crown to rump, head circumference etc . A life is growing inside you , there are various factors affecting the growth, off course you don't expect the dates to be constant. Google more to get more info. Stick with your lmp. If your lmp was march 21st , then edd is dec 26th 2016 and you are 20 weeks today while if it is 27th march, edd is January 1st 2017 and you are 19 weeks pregnant . Your baby is growing well and how can you even think of reducing its weight. Your worrying is on another level. You are still within the + or - 2 weeks range. Keep calm and look forward to a healthy and happy pregnancy plus a safe and sound delivery. Xoxo

Take a chill pill mama, abi them dey use LMP and EDD collect free bag of rice for market?

The EDD is just an estimate! Plus or minus 2 weeks. I.e 40 weeks or anytime between 38 weeks and 42 weeks.

Your LMP is initially used to know when to book you in for your scan.
The reason they use a scan to date your pregnancy and give you an EDD is because using your LMP can be a quite unreliable as everyones cycle is different... it can be 21 days or less for some, 35 days or even longer for others and depending on a great number of factors it can swing any which way irrespective of it was like clockwork before. So not everyone has a 28 day cycle with ovulation happening at day 14!

The baby will come when the baby will come... just enjoy your pregnancy and pray everything goes well.

Swollen feet after birth? Go back let him check your bp. You have retained fluids. Also make sure you are drinking a lot of water and reduce the standing. Elevate your legs with a pillow. However, call the doctor's office right away. Kisses to your lil princess

Rejoice with us, our little pumpkin arrived today 8/8/16 at 9:06am via supernatural E-Csection. We are doing great, finally mum to my princess , Oluwa is faithful.

Zaynie,i agree with u.hospitals need to step up their game.its disheartening wat happens dis days.wen i went in with preterm contrctns,nobody even believed me after i complained of fluid leaking out.they didnt place me on antibiotics.i didnt complain .see wat happenedlater on to my son.lookng back nw,i wish i had spoken up wen i first noticed signs of carelesness.

If you're trying VBAC, you can be in labour as long as any VD-candidate so far your labour is progressing. I was in labour for 22 hours, at a point I was on 10cm for over 2 and half hours, baby wasn't descending and my doctors were like "don't worry, as long as she isn't in distress, we are good".
