These are Chief Joe-Martins Uzodike's Words on the marble today!
I noticed some people trying to distort what Chief Joe-Martins Uzodike said today.
For the avoidance of doubt, see what he said
Chief Uzodike said that forgiveness is not genuine if it did not come from inner repentance.
He said if somebody sinned and went to confession,
that the priest would ask him to return what he stole.
In Gov. Willie Obiano’s case,
Joe Martin said he had agreement with the people of Anambra State hinged on continuity,
and that is was painful that all the roads and projects upon which Chief Willie Obiano was elected are now abandoned.
He submitted that forgiveness is not between Obiano and Obi,
but by Obiano executing those projects that were promised the people.
He said it was the people that Obiano has wronged greatly
and that the only way to talk about forgiveness between him and the people is by his doing the right thing
Joe Martin said that those saying Obi influences what some people do get it wrong and
that Obi had been an independent man and thus not quarrel with the opinions of others.
He gave few examples:
1.Mr. Peter Obi's return of schools to the Church was a single handed decision as everybody,
including his EXCO was against that.
2. The decision to partner which Church to rebuild hospitals was entirely his.
Some of those parading all over the place were against that because they wanted the contracts to be awarded to them.
3. His insisted on governorship going North against everybody,
including APGA as a party.
4. Everybody is happy that Anambra is paying salaries,
but when he commenced savings everybody was against him and preferred the money should be shared,
which Obi refused then and still refuses now.
4. The decision to rebuild Upper Iweka to what it is today was opposed by people afraid of the cost,
but he went on.
Today the new government at Awka presented it to Sun newspapers on the false basis of which they awarded him their
"man of the year".
5. Ugu scam was not the first of its kind:
we had Onugbu and Tomato before that.
The case of tomato was particularly shameful because pictures of luxuriating farms were posted as tomato farms in Anambra North,
but when the links were discovered they turned out to be farms in Kenya and USA.
6. Joe Martin cautioned against making lying part of governance,
it is not sustainable,
it is not what we bargained for.
All the ongoing roads on the basis of which he campaigned and even about 28 others he started afresh are all abandoned,
except those located in his town and surroundings.
Awgwu road has cut into two and serious erosion developing.
The Nteje road is an eyesore.
People escaping from the impassable Awka-Onitsha Express follow the road.
It remains where Obi left it.
Annoying thing is that some people suspected to be the agents of Government collect money from vehicles passing the road.
7: There are companies that had concluded arrangements and even laid foundations for their facilities in Anambra,
they have all pulled out and nobody is asking Questions.
He used Neimetch pharmacy as an example.
8. We spoke about Agulu people and projects this way:
look at Agulu people, since Obi left, all ongoing projects in Agulu were abandoned,
these are the people whose son brought Akpokue.
Even if you cannot do new project in the town, complete existing one.
Regrettably, one of the things he did on coming to power
was to tell Awka people that the Agulu lake hotel was originally supposed to be sited at Awka
and that he would build a new Hotel in Awka.
There is nobody who does not know that Agulu lake hotel was conceived
under Jim Nwobodo as Governor and that the records are there.
The man saying this to pitch Awka and Agulu people has abandoned the shopping mall under construction at Awka,
the three arms zone for which Obi left money,
and the Greenwood new layout.
9. He advised Akpokue to concentrate on completing existing projects and starting new ones rather than hiring helicopters to take aerial pictures of Onitsha, Awka and Nnewi which Obiano's aides post all over the net as his achievements.
Taking Awka as an example, apart from the 3 flyovers being built at the cost of over 15billiion Naira,
for show, show me any other things he has added to Awka since Obi left.
10. Since Obi left, there is no MDG project anywhere in Anambra.
The other day he went to commission students hostel Obi did at Our Lady of Lourdes hospital Ihiala and claimed it as his- is this governance or fraud?
THE ONLY PLACE CHIEF UZODIKE MENTIONED MONEY WAS WHEN HE SAID THAT AKPOKUE PAYS ALL THE FORMER GOVERNORS PENSION EXCEPT PETER OBI WHO,
THOUGH NOT COMPLAINING,
IS YET TO RECEIVE HIS GRATUITY AND PENSION.
HE ADVISED AKPOKUE THAT THERE WOULD NOT BE CHANCE FOR ANYBODY TO SELL HIM FOR A SECOND TENURE AND THAT ONLY HIS WORK WILL
WE SHALL POST THE FULL INTERVIEW TOMORROW.
WE WERE CONSTRINED TO POST THIS BECUASE OF OBIANO AND UMEH’S PEOPLE TRYING TO SELL THE LIE THAT JOE MARTIN WENT BEYOND WHAT IS POSTED NOW
