How I Made Bulk SMS Business Lucrative After School by bosaonline(m): 10:05am On Jan 01, 2013 |
This is a very painful experience but is Indeed a successful venture.....I learnt my lessons from Donald Trump's book titled "Never Give Up". In November 2010, it was about 2 weeks to my final year project defense and my project supervisor asked me to work on Parcel Management System. In that year, I already had 10 years experience as a programmer and just wanted to walk out of school and continue my personal life pursuit on being a developer of Enterprise Resource Systems. Instead of doing my project, I had a better idea. I called a few friends together, and we held a meeting. There I asked them, "Do you know about Bulk SMS businesses?". I got a common, "YES...." (with a sigh of what about it?) because it was already rampant. So, I asked further, "People often spend time and resources trying to use a computer to send SMS at all times, why can't they use their Blackberry or Nokia phones?" and my friend's collectively responded, "The pages are too heavy and they would take time to load". It was in Benjamin's presence, I opened the first workspace for the development of my biggest business. I left the meeting abruptly and put on my laptop and immediately started work. He promised to join me but he couldn't followup with my 24 hour schedule on the believed to be, "lousy project". I struggled to meet my supervisor and showed him what I had done. He asked me who told me to work on Bulk SMS but I begged him so he refused and asked me to go and come back. Fortunately, I had my system with him so I opened the website and sent him a test SMS and he got it in my own sender name. He looked at my code and looked at me and told me to go ahead but not to let the sophistication of my project make me lose balance as they would say I didn't do it myself. On my defense day, I was disorganized, like a bridegroom who was late for his wedding. My project work books where in one hand, my tie in another. I wore my shoes on the run and held my belt tightly on my way out. While others where waiting and dressing up, making up, I rushed to my course rep. and said I was ready so he invited me in immediately. I spent 30 minutes in the room with my supervisor, two externals and an expert lecturer who is a programmer and termed "the most experienced Computer Science lecturer". Time allowed for defense was 3 minutes but my externals were so interested in my what I was saying as they saw future in it, they nodded their heads as they gave me an "A". Then, the master programmer (the intelligent lecturer), spent 25 minutes trying to accuse me of copying someone else's work, that it's impossible for a student to do this much but unfortunately I defeated him by proving to him that every license and registration for the project was in my name and Benjamin, was the assistant to the supervisors holding the defense programme so he interrupted and said, "Sir, I was there when he started the first page...". My external supervisors at this point said, "Enough! The student has defended his project!". So, the only mistake I made was to put copyright statements in the project work which I eventually removed. Immediately, after school, I monetized the site and started making good money. I had two resellers and the business grew till the extent I made so much money that I could hire servers enough to run a standard software company until one day.....I had a financial disagreement with a customer and that led to a legal pay off and bad news, "....the business failed!". Few months later, I looked at myself and said, "Never Give Up". I called a few people together and planned with them. They laughed at me cos they knew it was over but I remember the saying, "It's Not Over Until You Win". I soon got an angel investment of about N50,000 which I used to build the site back from the pieces I had with me and host it again and purchase the credits. I had to do other businesses, work under people, serve them like a slave. I had to run errands for men who should have paid me well but I wanted my dream back. Today, my dream was come through in it's fourth version. The site is now rich and I have learnt my lessons and I'm now back on my feet. 1 Like |

Check it out on www.mobi2sms.com , It even has a business opportunity for those who want to become Sales Managers. To answer your question on the differences between mine and SMSLive247.com: 1. It is optimized for best view on mobile phones. 2. It has a business structure where resellers can make clean money. 3. Their price for 100 to 4999 credits is N1.95 but Mobi2SMS offers 100 to 9,900 credits for N1.50. 4. For 5 million credits, they still charge N1.35 but Mobi2SMS offers N1.00 from 10,000 credits and above. 5. Mine offers a business plan for those who want to start a very big business through it, the application resources are properly accounted for. So, please tell me what you think. Thanks. |

@Paulipopor, we consistently carry out backups of our web and database servers for the service using a secure Cloud storage server. With the introduction of the Sales Manager structure to the application, our resellers are "on their own" business from now on. So, there is no staff in charge of sales of credits again. The company sells directly or offers Sales Managers the opportunity to buy at a cheaper price directly too. This would ensure that no mismanagement issues arise and has in the past few months of our revival strengthened our business to be ready for the next level, version 5, which would allow users send Bulk SMS directly to the contacts on their phones. We look forward to business growth in 2013 and remain optimistic. Thanks. |

Paulipopor: Hello sir, have you checked the website lately? We've gotten good funding asides the fact that we have done well at keeping www.mobi2sms.com, a wonderfully available service. |

Me4sure: Visit www.mobi2sms.com/branding and you would get a website like www.fortemobilesms.com. CedarForte Limited is satisfied with Mobi2SMS so much that he is currently investing in a new project of ours. If you have gotten your website, that's still cool. However, please remember to check www.cronalia.com for updates by 17th July 2017, new products are coming! Thanks |
