Was looking 2 hear frm u teamie, sorry abt d weakness it happens 2 me only wen I go out n come back n I also drink water lyk a fish just dat it must be ice, I think its more lyk a craving now,normal cold water makes me gag. N meen dt hunger no be 4 here o, js finished a plate of custom -made indomie peppersoup js 3 hours after breakfast! Infact I wish u n lo a HnH nine months.

If you read one of mitchyy's recent post about putting on AC for her LO, she observed he slept more. Im sure you wear coverall for your baby and no fan/AC..... the baby is probably hot! Although ceiling fan isn't ideal for anyone, if you have AC or standing rotating fan, try it out and see if his sleep pattern improves.

Why would a responsible mother leave her EBF fed baby without making arrangements on what the baby will drink whilst she is away?.

My dear, you just typed exactly what I wanted to say. The friend is kind and the mother 'acted' irresponsibly....end of story.

This reminds me of a 'mother' I met in Festac sometime ago. I parked beside another car at 2nd Ave by agboju market and noticed the car beside mine had an infant strapped to a car seat in the car. The baby was awake and crying and the sun that day was something else. That's how I stood by the baby's window and was trying to pacify her, because with the crying and the heat only God knows what would have happened to the child. I was prepared to ask someone to break the car window if I noticed the baby was in distress. Almost an hour later, the baby's mother showed up from inside the market and she even had a very flippant attitude when I told her the baby had been crying for almost an hour. Her excuse was 'she was sleeping when I left'. If naija was a sensible country na to call police immediately upon noticing the baby.
Children have died from suffocation by being left in the car without air/AC.

The mamas whose birth stories were 'borrowed' could click the three dots beside the users name and report user.

I dont think the lady values her friend's baby at all. It was so surprising

Let's look at it this way... which would be easier for a 2months old baby do, drink from the wide mouth of a bottled water or suck from a small hole in a satchet water?
The friend did what she felt was ok to appease the baby that was crying inconsolably but from the bolded comment, she is ignorant about how unsafe satchet water is.

Just saw your comment about EBF... does the friend know that EBF means no water? Even me found that out recently.

This Instagram thing is totally irresponsible of whoever opened it. Someone like me may not be comfortable posting things as personal as birth story knowing that a restless blogger somewhere will lift it word for word and post on Instagram. Some people really do value their privacy. I can't imagine someone using my baby's picture for fraudulent activities on social media just because I'm a member of Nairaland.
Anyway just saying, my opinion is personal

Suzy I suggest you stick to a team. If you are more comfortable with your most recent scan, you can be in team January, if baby comes before that fine. Some other people here have more than one EDD but stuck with one to avoid confusion. We are all here to learn and maybe catch some fun so no one will accuse you if you eventually port. Let us know so we can release you to team Jan if that's ok by you

I lost my mucus plug this morning. Should I wait for labour or head to the Hospital to get checked. I was induced in my first pregnancy. So I don't know when labour starts naturally

usually once the mucus plug is expelled, it takes like 24 hours for labour to commence. Sometimes sooner. The strongest indication of labour are your contractions, painful or painless.
How are they coming on?

Hey Mamas,

So i have been seeing a lot of discussions on EBF and a question came to my mind.

What if a mama has made plans on doing EBF say for 3 or 6 months, and for some reasons her BM doesn't start flowing immediately after birth and the baby has to be formula-fed pending when BM starts flowing. Can she stop the formula and start the EBF when BM starts flowing, or it doesnt count as EBF anymore because she had to do the formula feeding previously?
