hould have paid more attention during your physics classes. By wearing that crap called hijab,it simply causes "Air friction" which induces retardation andresistance thereby causing a sharp decrease in the rate of acceleration, that's why a piece of nylon takes more time to land than a piece of stone - go back to your PN Okeke
u you're still saying rubbish. how is a hijab d same with a nylon?. lemme say it to u in a language you'll understand "since it's not loose it can't cause air friction ". what about the cyclists with their helmets?it's also causing friction abi[sub]

The Arab lady tried at seventh considering the heat the dark hijab will make her body absorb unlike the others who wear open clothes.... I would advise them Arab Olympians to consider giving their female athletes white or blue hijabs as that will help reduce the amount of heat their body would absorb unlike the colour black or red .... I'm sure the science students know what I mean....

shocked Are you saying that Hassiba Boulmerka is male?? shocked Please re-read my post and actually try and find out about the people I mentioned.

He didn't specify sex. He asked for successful arabs in sports (don't try and shift the goalpost)
I am not trying to shift anything. Isn't it bizarre that these are the only names you can come up with. Even stranger is the fact of all the names, only one is not out of Africa. Like it or not these guys are terrible at sports and their religion is a huge contributor to this.

Aha! I see that you've found out that Boulmerka is female. grin

You are desperately trying to shift the goalpost. First, you tried to make it about females and now you are trying to make it about africans. What if I list all the fantastic pakistani cricketers (Imran Kahn, Waqar Younnis, Mohammed Hanif, etc)? Would you shift the goalpost again?

You are also trying to make it seem as if the people I listed are the only arab or muslims that are good at sports, when I specifically stated that I made that list on the spur of the moment, without really thinking about it.

I'm sure you know that if you are talking about religion, then there are very many muslims that are good at sports. Egyptian women regularly beat nigerian women at swimming at the All African Games, there are very many muslim US athletes that are good at sports and Fatimah Yusuf of Nigeria regularly destroyed other african women 400 metres runners in the late '80s and early '90s, even while wearing a full body suit.

Go and do more research before posting nonsense. There are people around the world that are good at sports and there are also people who are not good at sports. It's got nothing to do with religion or ethnicity.

Sprinter Kariman Abuljadayel became the first Saudi Arabian woman to compete in the 100m sprint at the Olympics today. She is one of four females from the country to be taking part in the Rio games.

Despite her full body kit,he 22-year-old still managed to flash some mid-riff as she finished seventh in her first-round heat. Though she did not qualify for the finals, she garnered praise around the world.

Abuljadayel follows in the footsteps of Sarah Attar, the first female track athlete to compete for Saudi Arabia in the Olympics in 2012, and the first to compete in a hijab...

Majority of Muslims need more knowledge.
Hijab was never an Islamic dress code.
The hijab has been in existence before Islam.
Muslims misunderstand and misuse facts of history from Genesis to Revelation..

Very powerful statement indeed!! That....moslem young/youthful women can still participate in sports even in their hijab. Its also a 'wake-up' call for sports equipment/dresses manufacturers that there is a potential market in moslem countries for apprropriate sports dresses for their female athletes.
