What kind of hosp will discharge you 1 day after CS

This is so wrong!

I was discharged the next day after my CS too... They do the necessary checks n discharge if u r certified fit.

Doesn't stop it from being wrong practice. Lemme tell you why you were discharged. Not because you were certified 100% fit. It's because they need the bedspace for another patient. It's all about the money.

It should be two days to four days after, anything less than 48 hours is unfair.

Yankee doctors and money... who has that picture again angry You know... that Nairaland classic

Is it the cheaper hospitals that are sharing Pitocin like bottled water or the ones that are coercing people into CS as if na secret cult ritual sad
Before i knew of NL,we spend 15k in NY(God bless Hubs) and the treatment i received there made me know that money worketh wonders. So i used it to learn ooo. Even when i no pay reach that one for 2nd waka,i knew to demand for the best and to identify yeye service from better service.

It is important for us to know that we deserve professional treatment irrespective of how much you are paying..You will be shocked at how some people will be here fronting and when doctors are coercing them or nurses are acting unprofessionally, they will keep quiet and be boiling and the worst are those who will be crying instead of speaking up. Remember that this money you are using to birth,if you put it in a business or invest it, at least one is sure of yielding profit. Abeg let us shine our eye oooo.

Nef, Modath and Lady G, una welldone clowning and entertaining us o.

Peeps, please I bought Indomie Oriental Fried something something flavour as advised by some people earlier on this forum. I got home and saw "contains dried vegetables'' has anyone travelled with this flavour and it was siezed?

By the way I am carrying anything 'carriable' from here in terms of foodstuff and essentials. I cannot spend my hard earned dollars buying milo at African store for 10dollars or tiny padlock for 3dollars when I have ample luggage allowance.

Infact, all mamas looking to save costs in this dollar palava era, you can go to Lagos island to buy good quality sleep suits, booties, caps, socks etc and carry along for baby. For example, I bought aa set of 3 sleepsuits for N3,000, checked Macys (thats where I buy most baby clothes) and saw most of them going for 12dollars apiece...abeg help me do the maths. Make una no call me Ijebu o, its just that at 400naira per dollar, N5m no reach to do missionary journey again.

Sorry for the late response ... I did not attach any evidence ... I just filled my reason for asking .

cheldas:

Pls when filling your expedited appointment, what did you provide as *Evidence of how you will pay for the cost of the treatment.*
Budget sheet or acc statement?
Thanks

Same here too oh. Although I had follow up home visits from the midwives (visits are basically to check baby but they also use the opportunity to check my tummy) until the stitch was removed by one of them at home. I have a few friends that also left the hospital early after CS.

So I do not think discharging a mum 24hours after CS is a sign of bad hospifal care. If mum and baby are certified fit and she agrees to be discharged, I do not see any reason why she should remain in the hospital.

Na, when you have long layover at times and virgin wants to put you in a hotel, you will go through border control and they will issue you a border visa for like a day. you don't need to have a uk visa for that

YoungMetrosG:
Chuchuo and XX01 are right, Heathrow airside doesn't work 24 hours. Anyone that has long layovers will have to go through passport control and only people with UK visas can do that.

The Virgin Atlantic flights to LAX land in LHR in the afternoon and leave for LAX in the morning, so anyone buying this definitely needs a UK visa. People considering this should look into flying to JFK as this will be more convenient.

Thank you my sister! When I gave birth to my trio via CS, I was put on pain relief medications/injections. One of the nurses that attended to me on day 2 after surgery was so nonchalant. I had to practically beg (while writhing in pains) to bring my injections. She treated me like shit! When they brought their form for me to feel how I was feeling , I bore it all.

On the 3rd day, their manager came , I reported the nurse straight away. You need to see my mum in action that day. She was screaming in Igbo "Don't report her o, leave her alone , hope you know your babies are still in the NICU, she might harm them, etc" I got infuriated the more. On top of my hard earned dollars? Do you realise how much I paid and would still pay? What? This service isn't free and I'm paying straight from my purse not medicaid! Hell no! That nurse shouldn't be near any patient please.

I made so much noise that day! The manager and her superiors came to apologize officially and I demanded that the nurse be sent on a training. Before my babies left the hospital, I bumped into her, she was very apologetic and all nice.

We are so used to people treating us like trash in this country and we on the other hand, feel it is normal to just accept it because 'we don't want troubles' or get victimized '!
