Baroba:you've spoken well but that is no excuse to disrespect and be tribalistic against other people who are not from your place...there is no part of Alaigbo that dont have people riding okada or having great men amongst dem...the only difference is the number.I currently live in Enugu since the past 7 years and i can tell u that there is no difference between Enugu people and Ebonyi in terms of achievement...the problem is that they generalise anybody driving okada as been from Ebonyi even wen they are indegenes... Little wonder south south igbos are denying been igbos.....it really sucks 5 Likes 1 Share |

Hmmm, we really need to be careful with our belief system here.Any superstition that has to do with shedding of blood shows deep things that is beyond human physical eyes and it is important we understand principle of spirituality so that we won't continue to be a servant to wat we are meant to be king over.most taboos are born out of idolatry. why should killing of snake(Python), equate to human being?then wat now happen to the likes of chicken, cows, isi ewu, rabbit etc. God has made us ruler over all of these and not b worshipped. if killing of phython is a taboo in a place, its simply because somebody many years ago made a convenant with the snake worshipper and hence, transferred d covenant renewal to subsequent generations.the question is, why should a father eat a fruit and his children will suffer the consequence? it ws based on these wickedness, oppression and slavery that God sent his only son for our redemption. FOR THESE REASONS WAS THE SON OF MAN MADE MANIFEST TO DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE EVIL ONES. pls fellow nairalander, we can not say we are serving God and be afraid of superstitious belief.. LETS NOT BE A SERVANT TO WAT GOD HAS MADE US A KING OVER.. JESUS IS LORD!!!! 3 Likes |

It is one out of a million. Anambra people are not known for marrying outsiders. Sometimes it is deadly when the family rejects you being married into their family. Some family sees it as sacrilegious for any member of their family marrying an outsider who is not from Anambra. In my family, you will first bring the lady to my mom for a chat, then she will approve of it after making sure she is from Anambra. Kachisbarbie: |

General, I didn't say there are none but it is one in a million.. My uncle married a Kalabari woman way back in the eighties in London but he did not come back to Nigeria until their children were 8 and 10. Then afterwards the family let it slide because the deed has been done. iKarma: |

hatchy: Ur last sentence makes no sense.. Bro.. Calling people 'idi**ts makes no sense bro.. Just becus a blogger used that title 'foreigner' to attract readers...u are here ranting about Igbo turning worst than Somalia.. Well.. U need more education, I must tell u.. Wat I don't understand is why people like u cry so much for Igbos.. Come-on.. They are going to be worst than Somalia.. Then, why not lead a protest demanding they are granted their own country? Why do u care so much bro for them? Why? It makes no sense that u care becus it is not ur business. On the record.. South east is what it is.. We love our selves.. We dont agree all the times.. Just as it is in other parts of the country.. Go to north and see how some tribes are against core Hausa people.. Go to yoruba land and see how Ijebu man will tell u he is core or more Yoruba than others.. Go to south south and see how they often clash on superiority.. But u can't take it away, these regions share one thing in common...they are comfortable with their fellow regional person most times.. Go to south east.. We work and live comfortably within our states.. We have our individual culture and tradition. An IMO man can get a good job in Anambra etc.. We flow and travel within the states.. We buy lands and build houses from each other.. Forget that useless talk that igbos are divided.. They are divided as other regions are bro.. My family don't live in my state of origin.. In fact.. We live in another core south eastern state. We mingle..we laugh.. Anambra people no get problem, just like their brothers in our region... We marry ourselves.. We trade easily.. An Aba guy is easy with his Onitsha bro..We travel to Enugu to cool out and experience luxury, we travel to Owerri to flex life and drink.. Movement is so easy.. Aba and Onitsha are our commercial cities.. Why is anything Igbo dey pain some of una for body? Leave us na.. We will be worst than somalia...yes..we like it just like that.. As for traditional believe system..lolz.. If I mention some core believe syetmes found in other regions.. Will u also accept we are all primitive? When u get to Rome, behave like Romans. It is that simple.. Just don't get it...I'm not a supporter of such believe found in that part of Anambra.. But I don't condemn it either.. People are at liberty to believe their own system.. Why do u think ur own system of believe is better than theirs? I'm a Christian..I don't condemn others or call them names..becus of what they believe in.. As long as the people will not begin to kill others.. If their gods can fight for them..so be it.. Hey.. Make we develop small na and leave this hatred for Igbos pls..it is getting too much. Don't know what ignos have done to most of u guys..allow them be na.. People like u make me hate visiting Nairaland.. People who easily call others *idi**s.. Not nice bro.. Change 2 Likes |

Folks should learn to respect a people's culture/tradition. Do not kill their pythons if it is a sacriledge in their community. Same way you do not show your face during oro festival in sw. Respect the culture of your host, it is not so damn difficult. |
