hUmaneOne: Go and get some quality education. Those two states were in the formal Eastern Nigeria and the guy said east. Do you need glasses? Yes, those two states are not Igbo states but whether you like it or not, if they get a deep seaport, that would greatly impact positively on the eastern economy. And Igbo land is not landlocked. We can dredge the Niger River which is accessable from Onitsha & Asaba both part of Igbolands. 5 Likes |

Jacko1: Market Forces determines where a Market will be located not sentiments. The Igbos can move their Businesses from the West to the East, but alot of factors will work against them.. Example: Proximity to Raw Materials.. The number 1 import hub for goods and materials into the country is Lagos. Its cheaper, the port is easier to navigate and the Importers are too many to pick from. The Market is also in Lagos.. There are Importers whose goods never make it out the Seaport before it gets sold out.. I worked with NIMASA in Calabar during my National Service and there was this gist of how once upon a time, the Nigerian Government forcibly diverted ships that were waiting to berth in lagos to other seaports in the country (Calabar Port Included) and many Importers cried. There were reports of importers selling off their wares at a loss just to recuperate some cash because the market was not in those areas. Relocate these Markets to the East and the Westerners will quickly filled the vacuum left by the repatriating Igbos and the Eastern Market may not grow as much as yo think. And with regards to building houses in the West, well, what do you expect? A two bedroom in lagos State or Abuja would make the owner more Money than a 5 Bedroom in the East or even Port Harcourt. So to the Igbo man, its all Business. Real Estate is an investment. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

boluwatife66:have you visited the East before? Say what you know and stop talking gibberish. I'm not a Biafra apologist, but if truth must be told, the houses in South East outweighs everything in the South West aside LAGOS. Enugu, Anambra, Imo are far beta dan all South West states aside Lagos. Travel and see and stop living in false illusion. 6 Likes |

I cannot but agree on the issue of Igbo language going extinct...... I served in a Federal Govt college (boarding school) in Ebonyi state during my service year. All the staff of the school was told that F.G said through the federal ministry of education ( research papers on igbo language) that Igbo language will go extinct in the next 15years, so we should allow the students to speak Igbo freely in school anytime.. ... anytime my senior class students comes to my office and say "uncle, we have free period so we want to play with you" during school hours... just know that its a lie, they have Igbo language Class... IMAGINE!!! running from their language coz they usually say they don't understand it.... and if these student speak or write English love letter to you., waoh!!! you would be amazed with their wonderful use or interpretation of big words... MARVELOUS!!! This begs the question, Why are their so called parents fighting for Biafra not teaching or enforcing the Igbo language on them |

It's laughable...many comments here. The day naija will actually break-up biafrans, ND, arewa, oduduwa etc will be shocked when Britain will open their archives and show us proof of who n who actually owns the lands. In the interim i'm loving ambode, that kebbi gov and obaino drive for self sufficiency and further growth whilst kids here who haven't eaten are forming which tribe better pass like they have contributed anything to society Even in America homeless many, people wey no get house, car, work many...same with russia, china n co. RSA with all its growth has a high violent crime rate. Focus on YOU, YOUR FAMILY, then NIGERIA , we need a smooth run up to 2019 cos this country won't split without a 5-10 year civil war... There is NO HEAVEN/HELL and I'M NOT READY TO DIE, even the belligerents ojukwu, awolowo, azikiwe and Gowon were not ready to die. If you're ready to die...then no offence but YOU'RE A BIG FOOL. Anyway, Long live the BENIN KINGDOM Oba ghato okpere....ise! 3 Likes 1 Share |

genieluv:soft spot for the Igbos yet u pour out these invectives and tantrums. You know nothing about the Igbos, so please stop talking trash. What you accuse the Igbos of is nothing but an inherent attribute of man. According to Thomas Hobbes in his hobessian state of nature, posits dat man is by nature cruel, nasty and brutish and will do anything within reach to shortchange others. No tribe or group of persons are an exception to this. An omonile dat sells land to 2 different people and leave dem at the mercy a of fisticuffs is a good person right! Igbos are naturally egalitarian, industrious and democratic. An Igboman believes in the dictates of capitalism and legal acquisition. So stop ur tomfoolery about the Igbos and learn. Tell me one place whr you've heard of Igbos illegally acquiring wealth? What they do is legal business and industrial assertions, through this they amass the wealth you call greed. An Igboman caresless about ur financial prowess but strives towards achieving greater heights at comparison with the mighty. Lagos is beautiful today, all thanks to the industrial sagacity of the Igbos. 3 Likes |

zemaik: My Good Friend!!! there is no hatred towards the Igbo tribe from the Yoruba perspective..... You people should just acknowledge or embrace the fact that "You can't eat your cake and still have it"... it is unpossibile (impossible is an understatement)... You want to leave Nigeria which you clearly called ZOO, but you don't want to leave Lagos or better still, you don't want to be told to leave LAGOS... Is Lagos not part of the ZOO.. Or was it too early for the ZOO KEEPERS of Lagos to tell you to leave, which you would still do sooner or later if everything goes according to your plans... SO WHY THE FUSS AFTER ALL Ain't picking sides, just trying to get somethings straight!!! 12 Likes 1 Share |

Coldfeets: If you take your stone age 'dogs and baboons' politics and move to Oduduwa, Arewa or ArewaOdua. My people in the East... 1.) Won't have to travel to lagos (that you so much cherish) to clear goods. The income generated from import duties won't be going to ingrates like you in lagos, it will be invested in the East. 2.) If you stay in your Oduarewa, our states over their would'nt have to receive less allocation than a bloated but less viable states like desert katsina or Zamfara. Money accrued from resorces on Imo, Abia etc will be used to develop the East. 3.) If you stop trying to live with people you hate and stay peacefully in your Arewa-Odua, my people won't have to travel to Kano get import or export documentations from one hateful Umaru, Dikko, Kwakwaso who will then charge them exorbitantly or ask for bribes before they can get their documentation. 4.) If you unite with your TRUE brothers in Benin republic and stop forming 'fake union' with the East. The real potentials of your lagos will be tested, because it wouldn't have to depend on other people resources such as 'Import duties, tax, Oil' to develop. Like porto novo it will have to fend for itself so we can no if yorubas can truly develop a city without resources from immigrants and foreigners. 5.) If you face your Oduduwa and Arewa in peace, I wouldn't be always thinking of how to move my family away from your 'dogs and baboons' zoo to bring them here in Aussie during election because I share a country with hateful fulanis muslims and psedo-sophisticate yorubas who believe that those who want to vote differently from how they want must be thrown into lagoons. 6) If you face your Oduduwa, I won't have to deal with a national assembly filled with bigoted fulani and yoruba muslims before building a port in my land. 7.) If you face your Oduduwa, Arewa, and I face my real Country Biaf.., I would hate to share passports with perverts and pedophile who constitutionalize Child-marriage. If you stay on your own, people like Yunusa your brother won't have the opportunity to steal girls from my land because there will be huge walls demarcating my country from yours and visa will be required to keep terrorists out. 7 Likes 1 Share |

AgentApple: Semantics is even a bigger part of your problem and not just education. We aren't in the 50's anymore. The igbo states are now mainly the present south east states. Do not even add the ikwerre people of rivers state. Biafra goes alone, without cross river, akwa ibom and rivers state or even parts of delta. You're not even conversant with the river Niger basin else you'd have known that the water volume can be regulated from preceeding dams;any fvckup and the river flow can be downregulated 6 Likes 1 Share |

Jacko1:you should be ashamed of yourself for the fact that you sat down lazily and allow foreigners develop and take over your land. LAGOS is not the land of Igbos yet you uphold the Nigerian constitution and free rights of legal acquisition and ownership of properties. Most of you just comment without wearing your thinking cap. Did Igbos acquire their properties in South West through force and coercion? Tell me one and prove me wrong. Indirectly you are telling me dat America and Chinese people who go world over investing and dominating are fools. Modern world is a world of competition, strive for the best and stop hating the Igbos. Every Nigerian has a right to legally acquire and own movable and immovable properties in any part of Nigeria. One thing I guarantee you is dat Igbos left their properties in other parts of Nigeria after the war in the 60s, dat will neva happen in 21st century. The destruction in Syria will be a child's play compared to what LAGOS will look like. I believe in one Nigeria, so please sheat ur sword of hatred and let's live in constitutional harmony. 3 Likes |

hUmaneOne: You are the one that has a problem with semantics not me. Akwa Ibom & Cross Rivers are not part of SE both they are part of the east. Biafra is not intersted in annexing those states, we are only interested in Igboland which includes our lands in Rivers states and Delta north. Who mentioned ikwerre here abeg? ikwerre are not Igbos and Igbos are not ikwerre, they are part of the 'We SS' and can remain so. SonofDevil: The Yoruba Council of Obas in the 19 northern states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja have advocated for an amicable resolution of the face-off between farmers in the southwest and Fulani cattle rearer over grazing activities. Arising from its 5th Quarterly meeting in Abuja, the council implored the Ondo State government to resolve the Fulani Cattle rearers-farmers’ conflict to avoid spill over to the northern part of the country. A communique signed by the council’s acting Chairman who is also Mai (Oba) of Yoruba in Borno, Alhaji Hassan Yusuf and Dr Alani Adeyemi, Oba Yoruba Gombi, made available to journalists in Maiduguri yesterday, it appealed to the Ondo State governor to use his experience in resolving the problem. “We implore the Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko to use his good office to resolve the ongoing crisis between the Fulani Cattle rearers and farmers in the state amicably and quickly to avoid spill over effect,” the council said. It advised non-indigenes living in the southwest states and north to abide by the rules and traditional laws of the state they reside. It also urged them to continue to live harmoniously and peacefully with their hosts. The council commended President Mohammadu Buhari for what it described as his genuine efforts at addressing immediate needs of the country especially the fight against Boko Haram insurgency and other security challenges, calling for support from all Nigerians.
