The message that calls, publicly, for ndigbo to go home is one of humiliation. It says clearly you are no longer welcome in your guest's home. This message is going to play significantly in future elections at local level, state and federal level. How is it that Ijaw, a minority, a politically irrelevant group, has now positioned itself as a politically viable partner ahead of Igbo, its one time surrogate leader? It's because ndigbo created a vacuum at home. Ndigbo was investing money and energy everywhere but at home...so at the end of the day it is spread so thin that it lacks the cluster needed to form political majority. Ndigbo is not even a political majority in its own ethnic region SE. APGA, the recogniszed Igbo party has one out of five states, that's 20% and in an assembly constituting all Igbo states it would fail to hold majority. So everywhere in Nigeria, today, Igbo is a political minority, including in SE. Others speak for you! My brothers, it is time to go home! 6 Likes |

pazienza: Right? The same lots will screech "ND oil belongs to Nigeria but their own whatever the Bleep they have is theres" The same lots will also say "igbo go home" and at the same time will screech "one nigeria and you're better off with us". I once told yoruba they need to seek psychological help as a community cause I noticed they have both a personality disorder and bipolar. Anyway, I support the move to kick igbo out of lagos. One it'll teach all this "one nigerian" Igbos a huge lesson. 2.) It'll push the disintegration of that shithole nation faster. I'm all for whatever that'll end this so called fake "unity". 4 Likes |

ikechu1: There is this interesting series done by Osita Mordi in the Proudly Anioma proudly Igbo page, on the Crude oil of the Akalaka clan( Ikwerre, Ogba and Ekpeye), vs those of Igbo( SE plus Oyigbo and Oshimili/ Aniocha). It's quite revealing and interesting series and have got me thinking seriously over the days. 1 Like |

ikechu1: Please do. It's an interesting well researched series. When he is done with it, I would try to get permission from him to post them on NL and other forums. For example, can you believe that Ndoki and Asaland in Oyigbo and Ukwa East and Ukwa West LGAs, produce more crude oil than the entire Ikwerreland. Yet the Ikwerres won't let us hear word about their phantom oil wealth the Igbos are out to steal. 2 Likes |

pazienza: Dude I've been known that part. Oyigbo is actually one the largest oil producing region in that country. Why do think they shamelessly removed it from Abia and forced to Rivers after the biafra war. Even now that the oyigbo community are begging to be returned back to the SE to be with the rest of their ndoki people, why do you think their request are ignored. |
Re: Yes, Ndi Igbo, ‘go Home’ - By Ochereome Nnanna by pazienza(m): 12:46am On Aug 16, 2016 |
ikechu1: Always knew the Ndoki and Asa clans of the the Igbo nation in Oyigbo, Ukwa East and West were rich in crude oil reserves, but just never knew how much, and sure never knew they were richer in hydrocarbon reserves than Ikwerreland. So many ignorance flying around, hard to sieve out the truth. In essence, these people robbed the Igbo of our oil lands in Ndoki and Asa and added to their Rivers state, only to turn around and accuse us of being the oil thieves. This is the highest height of sheer wickedness from these people. 4 Likes 1 Share |

The more these things are discussed and made a public knowledge to all Igbos, the better for us all. The internet age is really a blessing to Ndiigbo, giving us a myriad of opportunities to expose many lies against us. 2 Likes |

"Even now that the oyigbo community are begging to be returned back to the SE to be with the rest of their ndoki people, why do you think their request are ignored". On this part, you are right. I had always thought it was the other way round, but I recently joined an Asa and Ndoki Facebook group, and was marvelled to see that it's actually the Ndoki and Asa in Oyigbo clamouring to rejoin their kin and kiths in Ukwa East and Ukwa West. Ndiigbo really lack selfless well informed dedicated leader(s), not that other Nigerians have any better leaders, but since when did we start comparing ourselves with Nigerians? There is a big vacuum of leadership in Igboland, and this had created a problem of followership, Ndigbo are not the type to follow bad leaders like Nigerians do. These issues should be subjects of real importance in Igboland today. 3 Likes 1 Share |

pazienza: The saddest part about it despite contributing immensely to River state income, they get mistreated alot. Have you been to that side at all? The Ijaws that are complaining about oil spillage, etc do not have sh1t compared to oyigbo. Sadly, the same crap ogoni got is exactly what oyigbo got. The only difference is oyigbo people believes if they go back to abia state, it'll get fixed so their focus now is trying to get back to a abia state rather than trying to get the government to clean it up. Their land is so degraded, It so sad. The worst part about it all is they are very marginalised..extremely marginalised. A friend of mine once told me that the infrastructure they have in oyigbo is actually all done by their people.... that the government hasn't done shit for them yet milking off their neck. While in a Abia area, the ndoki community in that side supposedly have the good parts of Abia. According to him, that's why they want to go back because they believe being in Abia would bring the development they've been denied. According to him, for some weird reason the ndokis in Abia do not come to their side to invest and bring up. I'm going to assume why is because of fear of "abandoned property". It is a huge shame how boundaries and past that they weren't involved in created a slight distrust between twins. It's a shame. As I always say what happened to oyigbo people is pure wickedness. Pure fucking wickedness. They pulled them away from the or twin because of "oil", pushed them to be place they know nothing about. Not only were they pulled out of their comfort zone, they milked them like cows, destroying their lands in process and then to top it all off, refuse to develop them despite milking them. When they cry, they just ignore their cries. My heart always bleed for oyigbo. It is just pure wickedness!!! I always pray that they get their wish one day. |

Finally on Ochereome's article. I think this article is full of ignorance and even though could have been written with good intentions, ended up doing more harm than good. How exactly did Mr Ochereome arrive at the conclusion that Igboland is an industrial and infrastructural wasteland? Where are his stats and research to back this ignorant assertion up? Where exactly did Ochereome get the idea that Igbo language is endangered? Is he aware that the street language in Enugu, Owerri, Abakaliki, Onitsha Awka,Asaba, Umuahia, Aba, etc is Igbo language and not English or pidgin? How then can one say that Igbo language is endangered, just because Igbos outside Igboland speak the language of their hosts? Who exactly is Ochereome trying to impress with such blatant lies? Yes, Ndiigbo need to look home wards, but it does not in anyway mean that Igboland is currently lagging behind any Nigeria region, industrially or infrastructure wise, except in few cases of FG built cities of Lagos and Abuja, no other Nigerian cities or towns beats the Igbo ones. In as much as we want Igboland to develop more than it is today, you don't sell Igboland to Igbo and foreign( read non Odua/ Arewa) investors by lying to the world that Igboland is an infrastructural/ industrial wasteland, that is image assassination and does Igboland more harm than good. 5 Likes |

pazienza: So true. Igbo leaders are just the complete worse and yet they wonder why the likes of IPOB, Billie and massob got more people following them and listening to them than they do the called "igbo leaders". Just like you said being Nigeria destroyed igbo very well. Very very well. If you read igbo history, in the past all Igbo elders Cared about was listening to the people. The wants of the people matter and they fought for the people. Nowadays, what we got are ppl only interested in their pocket. They ignore the needs and wants of the people and go seeking who can increase their bank account. They copied the bad leadership the rest of that zoo have and it's a damn shame. Like everyday I'm sick to my stomach the type of leaders igbo got. Some will even join yoruba to insult igbo (ex: Joe igbokwe, Rochas, etc) just because they pay their paycheck or some personal agenda of theres. I'm totally disgusted with "Igbo leaders" |

This write up is flawed on many fronts... First of all, if this writer has travelled across Nigeria, he will find out too that other ethnic groups have settled en masse in other parts of Nigeria too, and their descendants don't know the road back to their hometown. A visit to Kamo, Kaduna, Jos and other cities will show you just that. How Yoruba people and other tribes indeed live in there cities across Nigeria, feel more at home there, and the descendants don't know the road home. Second, about the east not being investment friendly/backwards, if that was the case, the Chinese would not be trooping down there, and Cities like Onitsha, Nnewi, Aba and Enugu will not be thriving cities. Infabt, the biggest market in West Africa is in Igboland, so what are we saying? 1 Like |

OPCNAIRALAND: OPC, stop spewing trash against Igbos just because Yorubas dread to be left behind with their Fulani masters. Igbos quest for nationhood shouldn't be Yorubas major preoccupation. And self-determination remains an inalienable right of any people. It's time to emancipate your Yoruba folks from mental slavery occasioned by decades of Fulani ass-licking. 2 Likes |

While in a Abia area, the ndoki community in that side supposedly have the good parts of Abia. According to him, that's why they want to go back because they believe being in Abia would bring the development they've been denied. " This was exactly the issue they were discussing in their facebook page. Abia state has Abia state oil producing area community commission, set aside to do one or two projects in oil producing parts of Asa and Ndoki to ensure they are not shortchanged. In Rivers state, all LGAs are oil producing, though some like Oyigbo are more productive than others, so Rivers has no such commission. The End result is that oil producing parts of Asa and Ndoki in Ukwa seem to be better off than their counterparts in Oyigbo. Atleast that's what I understood from going through their discussions. |
