UniqueGem: The key is the rice. You got to know how to parboil rice. All the ingredients for the fried you don't need to prepare because it's already prepared. I use, large prawns, onions, vegetable mix, chicken, chopped kidney, chicken stock to cook the rice, and curry. Like i said, the key is the rice. If you don't parboil it right, it will come out soggy. Boil the chicken first and and when it's done, mix the stock with water to cook the rice. Fry your vegetable mix with the prawns and add the rice. I also add soy sauce when frying. It gives it a unique taste. There are many variations but i like this one best. It's easy for me. 1 Like |

...Am really sorry for posting this here cause i know stuffs like this are not for this forum.but going through your posts and replies really wanna make me cry...not limited by one thing or the other is something i would love 2 experience. most of u are oversees...getting to choose what to eat and not just any food but healthy ones must be so much fun....sorry to spoil the mood but i really just dont know what, who&where to turn to for help. I just wanna summarize my point not to waste your precious time....am a student of unilorin seeking financial aid concerning alot of crisis that had wrecked on my family due to the current situation of nigeria....the atmosphere in this forum is really nice.which makes me keep wondering if at a point in my life i might get to experience stuffs like making selection from a range of things....i must be dreaming right,i had better wakeup to reality The hardship in surviving really makes me wanna die but why would i do that when my future is just some steps away from me...all i keep telling myself is to hang on but what to do when the rope am really holding unto dearly is about to cut... My mum has been d breadwinner of my family ever since i lost my dad,i have 3younger ones and my mum has been trying so hard to cater for us but wit the way the economy of nigeria is things have been worsened,is it the house rent that d landlord keeps calling 4 and has threatened to eject us out, creditors keep coming to insult my mum on money some people see as peanut money.my return to school this session is all on the brink.eating 3meals a day has become inconsistent.....d sad tale of man;one who has d cap doesntav a head,,,its indeed a tragedy right?? If you are reading this and fate has been friendly with you..you have no issues with that thing called MONEY u wouldnt know what am talking about but i suggest you should be thankful.... Pls eveyone i really need your help.trust me i wouldnt be fibbing about dis or trying to make pranks on your intelligence if i dont need you.no help is too small ,even if its an idea dat can liberate me financially or information dat can help pls dont hesistate to share...may God bless as you help in anyway u can,let me drop my email address if u need to contact me suleimanbunmi@gmail.com |

bunmite32: You're going to have to try harder than this dear. Some people on this forum too are just scraping by even though they live abroad and seem to be eating anything they like as you put it! If you are serious about looking for extra income to support your family have you thought of the following: 1. Offering services to families with children as a home tutor(this is the summer period, many parents want their children engaged) 2.Offering nanny services for reasons stated above. 3. Can you engage in petty trading in your hostel? Even if just pure water for a start? 4. Try these and let's see how it goes. Unfortunately because of nairalanders general experience with scammers and tales like this it'll be difficult for people to just randomly send you cash and so on! But all the same i wish you well in your endeavours 18 Likes |

babythug: If you cook wit cocoyam, you get a much lighter colour. It's basically same recipe. -Boil meat and stockfish. -add pepper, crayfish, and stock cubes -add ogiri (that smelly stuff wrapped with leaves) -add your already cooked and pounded cocoyam and let it boil till the cocoyam dissolves. -add cut oha leaves -add uziza leaves (optional) -Bring to boil and turn off the gas 1 Like 1 Share |
