My fear stems from this: "Sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine should only be used during pregnancy if the benefit outweighs the risk to the fetus. Because pyrimethamine is a folate antagonist, folic acid supplementation should be given during pregnancy. Because sulfonamides compete with bilirubin for binding to serum albumin, free bilirubin levels rise in the presence of sulfonamides. Therefore, neonates are at risk of hyperbilirubinemia, jaundice, and kernicterus when sulfonamides are administered to the mother near term (prior to birth, the fetus is able to dispose of bilirubin via the placental circulation). Sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine prophylaxis is contraindicated at term."

The bath make sense o, tho i never try the so-called jacuzzi. But the beautiful thing about it is the mat inside. No need to carry baby on your leg. Just lie him on the soft mat inside the bath, support his neck and start bathing.
Even my mum that is not a fan of all these "oyinbo" things, confessed that she loves it.
So i think its worth it.

4. I don't have diabetes just that they did sugar test for me and said my sugar level was borderline and should be watched and also with previous history of PCOS, afraid enter my body.

Insomnia may cause bp to rise.

4. You need your carbs please, if you don't want to starve your baby of much needed glucose and fat. Besides unless you want to spend all in bed feeling weak and dizzy, don't try it.
The best you can do is follow a low-carb diet.
Are you diabetic? If you are, you might need a dietician or nutritionist to work out a diet plan for you.

2. Was on Paludrine for first baby and this pregnancy too from 8 weeks. Paludrine is a prophylactic that stops malaria parasite from multiplying in your blood stream thus keeping you free from malaria. I could not use fansidar and the likes due to sulphate allergy hence the Paludrine. Totally safe for me and had no side effect or drug aftertaste what so ever
4. Pls do not try no-carb diet o......... You can try clean eating, but do not eliminate carbs from you diet. Baby needs it as much as you do -after all baby is not on a diet and is expected to grow week on week as is your uterus, blood volume, breast, (and nose) if you are like me. I support the idea of consulting a nutritionist if you have health conditions that requires careful monitoring of carb intake.

Malareich is safe as long as you do not react to sulfonamides.
I prefer chloroquine however.

It's not advised to be used after 36weeks. @35weeks, you can still use it. Even @ 36weeks if benefit outweighs d risk. Cheers

Kindly stop having your bath until it heals. There is no way you will cover it n water won't get there. I can't remember how long I don't bath but I know it was up to two weeks! I only mop with hot water n soap as instructed. As in, I mop other parts of my body with hot water n soap leaving the site, the site I used just spirit.

Now that you have little issue there, pls adhere.

She can cover the site before taking her birth. She can use cling film and cover very well. Then take a cloth to dry it if it gets wet which it won't.

Tha bath set I bought for #1150 for my first baby, that's what my 4th baby is still using now. Anyway it's her first.

We used drylove wen baby was little n it was good. but wen he started to wee more it could no longer hold. I will recommend for new born only. huggies n Angel still my top choices.

Your comments in red had me giggling and you are spot on.

I sent the bath set I bought right back and requested for a refund. I adopted the "joko and souvenoir bucket" style from day one thanks to my mum.

Those bath tubs/sets just take up unnecessary space in the house/bathroom. I see no need for them if there's a bathtub or shower room.

I did get a bath seat though. Very useful, long lasting, comfortable and sturdy when compared to wooden "ijoko".

Liftedhands - I didn't see a baby bouncer in your list. That item is very useful as you can place baby on it safely whilst busy with other things and move it around the house. It's also useful for taking baby's pictures.

My bobo reporting live for threadcuties @ 3months last thursday and then today.

@suzy sorry about the fibroids, I don't have any experience with it but iomoge2 already answered you. Pls take enough water as I've observed fluids generally help with cramps in pregnancy especially at night. Drink like a fish, the good Lord will perfect you healing

I gave birth to my baby through elective cs yesterday baby weight 3.5kg. After reading mum raptor2 Bs now I never regretted I went through this route. Safe delivery to the remaining August mamas. BS will come later.
