overcomer123: I use Access bank and one can buy in the secondary market (if you have an account with them). U consult for the rate through live chat and then send an instruction on online through customercare to debit your account with them accordingly. (Even atimes you can be asked to drop the letter at any nearest access bank) I have done 1 Like |

I saw a news flash on CNBC which says "CBN Suspends 1 Year Treasury Bill" during one market analysis program this morning. Please I need confirmation on if the suspension was just for yesterday's bid or if will continued on a short to long term. I need to be sure to guide my decision so I don't submit a 364 days bid that is dead on arrival. |

hello house, thanks for all your tips. I did bid for 91 day tenure( with the bank rate) t-bills with GTB branch at oniru near shoprite since tuesday this week. What i am yet to know is how to determine what GTB bidded for and if so whether the bid sailed through. i am a bit anxious since this is my first time on t-bills. anyone with similar experience in knowing whether the bank(GTB) in question bidded successfully and how to know from an outsider point of view? thank you and hope to get responses.! |

It all happened within a day. Once you are ready, let me know, I will send you the details of my account officer there.. |

A big thanks to all the gurus in NTB. Thanks Feelamong . I started reading this thread about 2 weeks ago. I did place a bid and got 14.3% for 91 days at Stanbic IBTC. Gonna try secondary market too. 3 Likes |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by sammily(m): 9:29am On Aug 19, 2016 |
So it seems FBN lost out in the 91 days bid as my funds was returned yesterday. My 182 days NTB scaled through though but I wasn't impressed with the rate I got. I guess I may have to call it quit on NTB with FBN if I'm not allowed to throw in my own bid myself. |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Nobody: 11:34am On Aug 19, 2016 |
EngineerT: What was the tenor of your bid? My bid was for 91 days with GTB and it dint sail through. I even used the bank's rate. |

EngineerT: Banks usually like to close their books high on Fridays. I am sure you are likely to get your alert from 5PM after they have closed their books. watch and see. i am used to that. |
