I'm pretty sure we won't be signing Balotelli but if we do, in any capacity, then Mourinho has lost me.

All this fonte and balotelli news na pure BS. Mourinho wanted only 4 players this window and he's got them so any other links na fake. Southampton confirmed this morning on Sky sports that there's no interest from anyone for fonte and Mourinho just met balotelli probably as a friend but these newspapers will somehow find a story in nothing.

gold ke, we should manage bronze because even if we somehow manage to beat Germany to the final(which is looking unlikely at the moment), Brazil go scatter that our defense.

they should forget about making it in pro football - that no. 4 especially. tweeeh

although i think they have overachieved. the current Nigerian system would be very lucky to get anything positive from sports.

They played better in their initial games, this one was just what I can't understand.

No drive, no motivation, no zeal to win nothing, even set wey we dey play get more intensity and purpose than what these boys just exhibited.

All the Germans needed to do was pass in squares and triangles and we were exposed.

The guys have tried. After all the BS that surrounded this tournament, being stranded in Atlanta for 3 days, arriving mere hours before kick off against Japan, and to top it all, they were still owed their due wages. They should put this match behind them and focus on the bronze medal match against Honduras, Ekong in particular impressed me in defense.

The second half was scrappy from both teams, they both looked tired.

Funny how the Left-back is also part of the national team, but couldn't play well against U-23s , i'm not suprised that M.Salah made a joke of him when we faced Egypt undecided

I've never seen any fans more delusional and schizophrenic than Scumretards' (Gayners') fans. Even with the gale of rejection from Laporte, Benzema to Vardy, they somehow manage to stretch the propensity for daydreaming and living in denial to unimaginable heights. Just imagine this Assanal fan above and his pristine foolishness. sad cry grin grin

For close to 7 years, I rarely watch any of our national teams' matches coz they cause more havoc than bliss to my tender heart. So after all the good news about these guys, I decided to give them a chance and watch them last night, and true to my beliefs, they showcased one of the most useless and timid displays the entire universe have ever witnessed. Before 70th minute I've slept off twice. It felt like dêjá vu; like I was watching a United side under LVG's era. SMH!!

They were a shadow of themselves and lacked purpose. They missed two of their best players. The DM, Azubuike, picked a needless third yellow card in the tournament late in the quarter final match when we were 2-0 up. And that meant he missed the semi final. He was very impressive with good shield to the defence coupled with a great ability to pass swiftly between lines while making himself available for return passes. Also a great dribbler with pace and energy to cover ground. My hope was that we win so that he returns for the final. His replacement, the number 15 jersey, was just average.

We missed Etebo who scored four goals in the first match but got injured in the last group match. His pace and agility is superb.

Where on earth did we get that Sadiq (number 13 jersey man) from? He carried his laziness from the quarter final into the semi final.

I think we didn’t have a good bench. Then we didn’t know how to fight from behind because we always score first in the games we won. The Germans also didnt allow us use the wings which was part of our strength, that is where we needed a good player who could pass or drive between the lines. May be it is where we missed Azubuike most.

"He [Van Gaal] told me that, if I wanted to stay to fight for a position, then good but I would not be his first option or maybe even the second," Nani said.

"I said: 'No. I have been here for many years, I have been very important to this club and I think it's time to decide.' I wanted to play every game in the starting XI."

I thought you said Van gaal forced him out?

Does this statement look like it? Van gaal didn't just give him assurance and told him to fight for his spot, just like he did to Kagawa and Chicharito.

There's no way Nani would have fit into 3-5-2 tactic because that was the tactic Van gaal deployed at first. He had to cater to the needs of RVP and Rooney for the front 2 and Mata as the creative midfielder unfortunately, he realised both the ageing Rooney and Rvp are too sluggish to operate as the front 2 while Mata is more of a SS than a playmaker and Herrera is just too shite to operate in the role.

A harsh lesson I would say.

Funny enough most of all the aforementioned players are still in the team except Rvp.
