deleib: I want to reassure you that Kwara state will remain a Yoruba state until eternity. No Yorubaland will be ceded to the Northerners.Meanwhile let them masturbate calling it North or whatever foolishness comes to their minds. My mother always says....ORUKO TI A O SO OMO ENI,INU NI I GBE.Afonja made the terrible mistake of inviting fulani together with yoruba commanders to sack Oyo but the fulanis had sinister plan and they killed Afonja but the fulanis were roundly and decisively defeated by only Ibadan. They cannot even take Ilorin with the fake emir talkless of taking any other Yorubaland.Junaid had always been a towncrier...Yorubas had always been warriors with abundant wisdom.Glory to God.This thread would be ambushed by the headmasters from this 21st century FULANI REPUBLIC region...I assure you. They must fight for the people who owned them... 8 Likes |

Hypocrisy is when some people denied that there are no indigenous igbos in rivers state, delta state, cross river state, Awka ibom state and Benue state, and as such Igboland extends to those states. And the same people further hypocritically opined that Igboland ends in 5 South East States. But look at the way they are masturbating over this thread on reminding them that kwara state belongs to the north and that they have only 5 States that they are indigenous to. Moral of the thread:Dont throw jibes on people on topic you know nothing about because it may surely get to you the next day. 15 Likes 1 Share |

This is the same question that keeps popping up on my mind, why do they refer kwara state to northern state. Looking at it critically, even the ilorin people that call themselves fulani going by their family names, most of them are more of yoruba. the Agbaji's, those in idi-ape and so on. The landmark bothering other states says it all too as they all fall within south western states except if you are going through jebba that leads to mokwa in niger state or the kwara north (pategi,Lafiagi and bode saadu), even those of baruten and kaiama have their own local language even though they are bodering niger state and they are neither yoruba or fulani. It is even funny that if you are going through one of the road that leads to kaiama you will move from kwara state then enters igbeti in oyo state (spent some minutes in oyo) before entering kwara again. (this means there are part of the town that is oyo state within kwara). From offa the border is erin-ile to ikirun, from Omu aran you get to Egbe which is a yoruba speaking tribe in kogi, from isin or ekiti local government you get to ekiti state, from eiyenkorin you get to ogbomosho. To me, kwara is more of southwest than north 6 Likes |

Kwarans are not Gambaris. Kwarans are Yorubas. So the Gambaris there, particularly the Monarch, are invaders that shall be made to fade in a properly constituted Central States(CS)of Nigeria. After all, all the States in the CS are satellites of their surroundings. |

Omololu007: Learnt something here irrespective of the aggressions...that ONLY Ekiti, Oyo, Osun, Ogun are PURELY Yoruba stock states...others they share with other tribes though they tend to intimidate/bully/muscle those tribes to the background... Btw I didn't see some of you reply with same aggression as you do here now to Alhaji Gwarzo and Junaid Mohammed when they issued such threats to Yoruba...Do you think they are just bluffing? No, History teaches otherwise about them... 5 Likes |

I have the opportunity to travel to at least 25 states out of the whole 36 states of Nigeria. I am an Ibadan man and a Geologist by profession. No other professionals travel as we do. That aside, during my different field works to the north central and Niger Delta, I find out that Yoruba territories cut across political borders. Just recently we traverse Kogi state, to my surprise, there is a village called Oyo close to Obajana. Obajana itself is an Okun town (which are Yorubas). On your way to Objana you will find a statue of a farmer (possibly the founder of that town) in Yoruba regalia. They speak a dialect of Yoruba, if you listen them carefully, you will understand what they mean. Kabba is also a Yoruba town. To the NigerDelta, I was opportuned to visit Ozanagogo, a village not far from Nkuzu in Delta state. The title of their King is Oba, with his dressing resembling that of Owo and Benin Kingdoms, which of Yoruba descendants. As we got to the village, the King all his Chieves to come and welcome their kinsmen (note kinsmen). He ordered his wives to prepare our super and give us rooms to sleep till the following day. That he told us they are Yoruba descendant and told us how they journeyed to their present location. To the west of western Nigeria, Yoruba extends to Dahomey through Togo. 4 Likes |
