Peace Mass Transit Conducts Tests For Drivers Following Rampant Road Accidents by conductor1: 8:00pm On Aug 19, 2016
Following the high rate of road accidents recorded by the transport company in the recent past, Peace Mass Transit has began a test for all drivers of its commercial vehicles nationwide at Udi, Enugu State.

Chairman of the company, Sam Onyishi, explained that the standardised test was done in partnership with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

His words:
"We appreciate the confidence reposed on our team by our stakeholders and our customers. We understand that it's a call to do more. This explains why PMT has moved for a two month re-certification training course for over 2000 of her drivers by Safety experts at FRSC National Academy, Udi.

"Your safety and satisfaction is our goal."

Na now FRSC know watin to do but first they should go and ask if they always have target.

Most transport companies are strive with target on their drivers and that can get them driving hurriedly.

To add with;

1) alcohol test

2) mental test

3) concentration test

4) smoking test

4) ...and other Nigeria test.

They should also do drug and alcohol test before they drive too.

Even if they pass the test, it wont stop them from the reckless driving of these Peace Mass Transit drivers. It seems the company gives them targets to meet, thereby making them strive harder than necessary at the expense of precious lives.

They should be used to test run the speed limiting device. That's what PMT really needs.

good riddance...

Trying to redeem their dead image after they carelessly murdered innocent souls with their arrogant drivers.....they remind me of 'IYARE MOTORS' with their rude, arrogant and careless drivers...being using 'GOD IS GOOD MOTORS' and im loving their hospitality

Yimu! This is just for publicity to give people d impression that they are safety conscious. The problem isn't inability to move d vehicle or manoever around obstacles. The problem is lack of knowledge of safe driving ethics, lack of adequate penalties for reckless driving, inadequate vetting of drivers for vision, mental and general health before employment, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, lack of adequate rest so as to beat targets, inadequate maintainance of d vehicle, ........
