this is not playstation bros. we have seen Pepe & Ramos partner for many games. we have seen Samuel & Cordoba. we have seen Brown & Vidic. we have seen Smalling & Jones. they all were bruisers & stacks up fairly well against the brain-brawn stuff you are try to paint has to exist before a pair can shine.

Smalling - Bailly for me should be our first choice. Jones & Blind as back up. Mensah can even crash any of the back ups, i no too send. what i need is center backs WHO CAN ACTUALLY DEFEND PRIMARILY.
Blind is safe cuz he has other options he can easily fill as the season progresses.

I'm not being pessimistic. I'm just saying the fact.

We've relied on individual brilliance thus far and haven't yet faced a Real test. I admit that Pogba is an improvement on Herrera because he was always positive on the ball however he looked more like a no 10 out there while Southampton dominated the middle and could have hurt us if they had Mane to finish most of the chances they created.

It's funny when people keeps banging on a title win when we haven't really faced a real test nd have relied on individual brilliance. The only positivity yesterday was Pogba constant probing passes but then, he isn't a playmaker that controls the midfield.

My only joy is that the fraud, Herrera is at least out of the lineup.
